The bass inside the lounge was a heavy, constant thrum that vibrated straight through the floorboards and into JK’s chest. He sat at the far end of the marble bar counter, slowly swirling the amber whiskey in his glass. He was dressed in a sharp black button-up shirt, looking completely detached from the crowd. He checked his watch and let out a heavy sigh, adjusting his cuffs.
I think there is no one here today
JK muttered to himself, his deep voice barely audible over the music. He downed the rest of his drink, ready to give up and leave the bar to return to his empty apartment.
...----------------...
Suddenly, the barstool right next to him slid open with a sharp scrape. JK looked up from his empty glass. A young man sat down, gripping the edge of the counter so tightly his knuckles turned white. It was V.
V’s eyes were red-rimmed and glassy, his breathing erratic. His flushed cheeks and trembling lips showed just how close he was to breaking down.
"Just give me something strong," V said to the bartender, his voice trembling as he tried to blink away fresh tears. "Anything. Just make it strong.
JK’s gaze locked onto V. He tracked the sharp, elegant line of V’s jaw, moving up to notice the pure, innocent look hidden beneath the intense heartbreak in his eyes. He leaned slightly closer, his deep voice dropping an octave to cut through the noise.
Rough night? JK asked softly.
V turned his head slowly, his wide, tear-filled eyes meeting JK’s dark gaze.
You have no idea. I just need to forget. I want to erase everything from my mind tonight. Just for one night."v said
You want to erase a memory, or a person?" JK asked, sliding his glass closer.
V let out a bitter, breathless laugh.
Both. My boyfriend of three years... I found him with someone else an hour ago. I gave him everything, and he just threw it away like it was nothing.
Then he's a fool,JK said, his voice firm and steady.
People treat loyalty like it’s a cheap commodity. That’s why I don’t believe in love. It’s just a messy lie that leaves you broken.
V looked at him, surprised by his bluntness. "You don't believe in love at all?
No, JK replied honestly.
But I do believe in distractions. I can help you forget him for tonight. Let's get out of here.
V bit his lip, staring at JK's hand on the counter.
Just remember one thing before we go. We are only available for tonight. Tomorrow, we don't know each other. It’s just one time, Not two.
JK smiled, a familiar thrill sparking in his chest. "Tomorrow doesn't exist yet. Let’s go.

The heavy glass doors of the lounge closed behind them, instantly cutting off the thumping bass. The sky had completely opened up. A violent summer downpour slammed into the concrete streets, the heavy sheets of rain instantly blurring the bright neon signs of the city. Thunder rumbled deeply in the distance, echoing off the skyscrapers.
V stepped out into the open air and gasped softly. The icy rain drenched his thin shirt within seconds, clinging to his skin and making him shiver violently. He wrapped his arms around himself, his head dropping as the cold water mixed with his warm tears.
It's freezing, V muttered, his teeth chattering as he looked around frantically for a passing taxi.
Maybe this was a bad idea. I should just go home.
Before tae could take a step toward the street, a firm hand gripped his wrist. JK pulled him back gently but with undeniable strength. V stumbled forward, his chest colliding right against JK’s broad, warm chest. JK didn't run for a taxi. Instead, he wrapped his arms securely around V’s waist, anchoring them both right in the middle of the empty, rain-drenched sidewalk.
Are you still thinking about going home to an empty room?" JK asked, looking down.
The rain was dripping from his dark hair, running down his sharp cheekbones, but his eyes were burning with an uncharacteristic warmth.
No," V breathed, his voice shaking.
But I'm freezing, and we are getting soaked.
Look around you JK murmured, his face close to V's ear.
The rain is hiding everything. It's hiding your tears, it's drowning out the city, and it's making the rest of the world vanish. Right now, it's just you and me.
V looked up, blinking rapidly to clear the water from his long eyelashes. His breath hitched in his throat. Being held so securely by this stranger made the cold wind vanish completely.
Why are you doing this? You don't even know me. V whisper
I don't need to know you to see that you're hurting," JK said softly. "And right now, I don't want you to hurt.
Then stop talking and do something about it,
V whispered, tilting his chin up proudly.
JK lowered his head, and their foreheads came together, resting gently against one another. V didn't close his eyes in sadness; he kept them fixed on JK, challenging him, leaning his full weight into JK’s solid warmth, fully taking control of the sudden, electric spark between them.
...Finally, JK broke the spell, whistling loudly to flag down a passing yellow cab. The car slid to a halt beside the curb, and they tumbled into the backseat, bringing the scent of ozone and wet asphalt with them....
...The small, enclosed space of the taxi instantly amplified the intense heat radiating between their damp bodies....
...V didn't slide away to his side of the seat. Instead, he boldly shifted closer, sliding his leg over JK’s thigh, his eyes flashing with an unbothered, reckless confidence under the dim streetlights passing outside the window..................
JK’s grip tightened on V’s waist, surprised but completely captivated by how demanding the stranger was.
V smirked, leaning in until his lips brushed against JK's earlobe, his warm breath sending a jolt straight down JK's spine.
The driver is watching us,JK warned in a low rumble, his pulse racing.
Let him watch, V whispered back boldly, his fingers playfully trailing down the front of JK's wet shirt.
Tonight belongs to us, remember? Don't make me wait.

The heavy front door of JK’s modern apartment clicked shut, instantly locking out the roaring storm outside.
Inside, the sound of the rain transformed into a soft, rhythmic hum against the massive floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The apartment was completely dark, illuminated only by the faint, colorful glow of the city lights stretching out below them.
V stood a few feet from the door, his wet clothes clinging tightly to his frame. He didn't look out of place, nervous, or intimidated by the luxurious space.
Instead, he slowly unbuttoned his outer jacket, letting it drop carelessly to the floor, his sharp eyes never leaving JK's figure in the shadows.
The alcohol was still running warm through his veins, successfully keeping the heavy pain of the betrayal at bay and allowing him to focus entirely on the thrill of the moment.
Your place is nice, Very quiet. V whispered, his voice smooth, confident, and completely devoid of any regret.
JK walked over slowly, his movements uncharacteristically intense and measured as he stopped right in front of V.
Jk reached out a warm hand, his long fingers gently brushing a wet lock of dark hair away from V’s forehead, his thumb lightly tracing the soft skin of V's cheek.
You're remarkably calm for someone who just went through a massive breakup an hour ago, JK murmured, his eyes searching the stranger's face.
Why should I waste my tears on someone who didn't value my loyalty?" V replied,
V chest rising and falling quickly as JK's thumb moved down to trace his lower lip. A flash of sharp hurt flickered across his eyes for a split second, but his bold mask locked instantly back into place.
V look at jk face and speak again "
I'd rather spend my energy on someone who is paying complete attention to me right now.
Is that a challenge?JK asked, his dark eyes darkening further as he stepped closer
trapping V against the wall.
Take it however you want
V whispered, tilting his chin up proudly, a challenging smirk playing on his lips.
Leaning down, JK closed the final inch between them, pressing his lips firmly against V's. The kiss didn't start soft, hesitant, or comforting. It was immediate, deep, and passionate, fueled entirely by V's bold energy and JK's sudden, overwhelming possessiveness.
V let out a low groan into the kiss, his hands lifting to grip JK's broad shoulders tightly, pulling him flush against his body. Every slide of their lips felt like a dominant claim over the night, a fierce rejection of the past. V tangled his fingers in JK's damp hair, deepening the kiss himself, refusing to be passive.
They stayed entangled in the dim light, their hearts beating loudly in sync, completely grounded in the intoxicating, bold warmth of each other's presence. The world outside didn't matter. The betrayal was erased, replaced entirely by the fire burning between two strangers.
