Married to a Man Who Hated Me

The Billionaires offer

Chapter 1: The Wedding Contract

"Sign it."

The cold voice echoed through the room.

Aisha stared at the papers in front of her. Her hands trembled as she read the first line.

Marriage Agreement.

She looked up at the man sitting across from her.

Arjun Malhotra.

The youngest billionaire in the city.

The man who had destroyed her father's company.

The man who hated her.

"Why would you want to marry me?" she asked.

Arjun's dark eyes remained emotionless.

"I don't."

The answer stung more than she expected.

"Then why?"

He leaned back in his chair.

"Because my grandfather wants me married before he transfers control of the company to me."

Aisha laughed bitterly.

"So I'm just a business deal?"

"Exactly."

The room fell silent.

Outside the large glass windows, rain poured from the sky.

Three days ago, Aisha's life had been normal.

Now her father was drowning in debt.

Their house was about to be taken away.

And the only person offering help was the man responsible for their downfall.

"If I sign this," she whispered, "you'll save my family?"

"Every debt."

"And after one year?"

"We divorce."

Simple.

Cold.

Like a business transaction.

Aisha wanted to refuse.

She wanted to throw the papers in his face.

But she remembered her mother's tears.

Her father's defeated expression.

Her younger brother pretending not to worry.

Slowly, she picked up the pen.

Arjun watched her carefully.

The moment she signed her name, something flashed in his eyes.

For the first time, his calm expression cracked.

As if he regretted what had just happened.

But only for a second.

Then it was gone.

"Congratulations, Mrs. Malhotra."

Aisha felt no happiness.

Only fear.

Because she had a feeling this marriage was hiding secrets neither of them were prepared to face.

And somewhere deep inside, she knew one thing.

Arjun Malhotra wasn't telling her the real reason he had chosen herThree days later...

The wedding took place in one of the city's most luxurious hotels.

Hundreds of guests attended.

Businessmen.

Celebrities.

Politicians.

Everyone wanted to witness the wedding of the year.

But for Aisha, it felt more like a business merger than a marriage.

As she walked down the aisle, all eyes followed her.

Her heart pounded against her chest.

At the end of the aisle stood Arjun.

Tall.

Handsome.

Expressionless.

The perfect groom.

Yet somehow he looked completely uninterested in his own wedding.

The ceremony ended quickly.

Within hours, she became Mrs. Aisha Malhotra.

A stranger's wife.

That night, Aisha entered the master bedroom of the Malhotra Mansion.

The room was bigger than her entire apartment.

Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the city.

Expensive paintings decorated the walls.

Everything screamed wealth.

The door suddenly opened.

Arjun walked inside.

Aisha immediately stood up.

The tension between them was impossible to ignore.

Without looking at her, he placed a folder on the table.

"What is this?" she asked.

"Rules."

She blinked.

"Rules?"

"For this marriage."

Aisha opened the folder.

Rule 1: Do not enter my private office.

Rule 2: Do not discuss personal matters with the media.

Rule 3: Do not interfere in my business affairs.

Rule 4: Do not fall in love with me.

Aisha almost laughed.

"Seriously?"

Arjun crossed his arms.

"Is something funny?"

"You actually wrote that?"

"It's important."

"Trust me, Mr. Malhotra."

She closed the folder.

"That's the one rule you never need to worry about."

For the first time, Arjun looked annoyed.

And strangely...

Aisha enjoyed it.

"Good," he replied coldly.

"Then we understand each other."

Silence filled the room.

Neither of them noticed the elderly woman standing outside the door.

Watching.

Listening.

Smiling.

Because unlike everyone else, she knew the truth.

She knew why Arjun had chosen Aisha.

And if Aisha ever discovered it...

This marriage would be destroyed before it even began.

THE TRUTH HIDDEN IN SHADOWS

Outside the room, Dadi Malhotra slowly walked away from the door.

A knowing smile rested on her lips.

"Poor children," she whispered.

One was drowning in hatred.

The other was walking blindly toward heartbreak.

And neither of them knew how dangerous the truth really was.

Inside her room, Aisha sat on the edge of the bed.

Sleep was nowhere near her eyes.

Every time she closed them, she remembered Arjun's cold voice.

"Don't expect anything from me."

She had entered this marriage hoping for understanding.

Instead, she had received a list of rules.

A tear slipped down her cheek.

Quickly, she wiped it away.

"No more crying," she muttered.

"If he wants to hate me, that's his choice. But I won't let it destroy me."

Determined to distract herself, she stepped out of the room.

The mansion was silent.

Most of the servants had retired for the night.

As she walked through the long corridor, she noticed a faint light coming from one of the rooms.

Curious, she moved closer.

The door was slightly open.

Inside, Arjun sat alone behind a desk.

A bottle of whiskey stood untouched beside him.

His eyes were fixed on an old photograph.

For the first time since their wedding, he didn't look cold.

He looked...broken.

Aisha hesitated.

Part of her wanted to leave.

But another part wanted answers.

Before she could stop herself, she knocked softly.

Arjun immediately looked up.

The vulnerable expression disappeared.

The walls around him returned.

"What are you doing here?" he asked sharply.

Aisha swallowed.

"I couldn't sleep."

"And?"

"I was just walking."

His gaze hardened.

"Then keep walking."

The words stung.

But this time, Aisha refused to back down.

"Why do you hate me?"

The question hung in the air.

Arjun's jaw tightened.

"I don't."

"You do."

"I don't have time for this conversation."

"Then make time."

For a moment, silence filled the room.

Neither of them looked away.

Finally, Arjun stood.

"You want the truth?"

Aisha nodded.

His eyes darkened.

"The day I met you was the day my life started falling apart."

Her breath caught.

"What does that mean?"

But before Arjun could answer, his phone rang.

The sound shattered the tension.

He glanced at the screen.

A dangerous look crossed his face.

Without saying a word, he answered the call.

"What happened?"

Aisha watched his expression change.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

"I'll be there in ten minutes."

The call ended.

Arjun grabbed his car keys.

"Stay out of my business."

Then he stormed past her.

Within seconds, she heard the front door slam.

And then...

The sound of a car speeding away into the night.

Aisha stood frozen.

Questions raced through her mind.

What had happened?

Who had called him?

And what did he mean when he said his life had started falling apart because of her?

Unaware of her confusion, another pair of eyes watched from the shadows of the staircase.

Riya Kapoor.

A satisfied smile spread across her face.

Everything was happening exactly as she had planned.

Because if Aisha ever learned what really happened five years ago...

She would leave Arjun forever.

And this marriage would finally be over.

THE SECRET FROM 5 YEARS AGO

Episode 3: The Secret from Five Years Ago

The sound of Arjun's car faded into the night.

Aisha remained standing in the corridor, staring at the mansion's entrance.

Questions filled her mind.

What could be so important that he left in such a hurry?

And what did he mean when he said that meeting her had ruined his life?

Before she could think further, a voice interrupted her.

"You should go to bed, child."

Aisha turned around.

Dadi Malhotra stood near the staircase, leaning lightly on her walking stick.

A warm smile rested on her face.

Aisha immediately felt comforted.

"Dadi."

The elderly woman gently patted her hand.

"Some answers reveal themselves with time."

Aisha frowned.

"What does that mean?"

Dadi's eyes sparkled knowingly.

"It means patience is sometimes better than curiosity."

Before Aisha could ask another question, Dadi changed the subject.

"Now go and sleep."

Reluctantly, Aisha nodded.

But sleep never came.

Meanwhile...

Across the city, Arjun's black car stopped outside a private hospital.

He stepped out and rushed inside.

His best friend, Rohit Verma, was already waiting.

"What happened?" Arjun demanded.

Rohit looked uneasy.

"She's awake."

Arjun froze.

For a moment, every emotion disappeared from his face.

Then came anger.

Fear.

And guilt.

Without another word, he walked toward a hospital room .

Inside, a young woman lay on the bed.

Her face was pale.

Machines beeped softly around her.

Slowly, she opened her eyes.

"Arjun..."

His jaw tightened.

The woman smiled weakly.

"You got married."

Arjun remained silent.

Her smile faded.

"So it's true."

A painful silence filled the room.

Finally, she spoke again.

"Does your wife know?"

Arjun's expression darkened.

"No."

"Will you ever tell her?"

His eyes hardened.

"No."

The woman closed her eyes.

"But she deserves the truth."

Arjun suddenly turned away.

"The truth destroyed enough lives already."

The next morning...

Aisha woke up after barely sleeping.

As she walked downstairs, she was surprised to find the dining hall filled with people.

The entire Malhotra family had gathered for breakfast.

For a brief moment, she felt hopeful.

Maybe today would be different.

Maybe things would improve.

Then she heard a familiar voice.

"Well, look who's here."

Riya Kapoor.

Aisha's mood instantly darkened.

Riya sat confidently beside Arjun's empty chair.

Almost as if it belonged to her.

Meera frowned.

"Riya, you're here early."

Riya smiled sweetly.

"I came to see Arjun."

The statement wasn't directed at Meera.

It was directed at Aisha.

A challenge.

A warning.

Aisha calmly took her seat.

She refused to react.

That only seemed to irritate Riya further.

Just then, the front door opened.

Arjun entered.

His eyes immediately found Aisha.

For a brief second, neither of them looked away.

Then Aisha noticed something strange.

He looked exhausted.

As if he hadn't slept all night.

As if he was carrying a burden too heavy to bear.

And for the first time...

She wondered if the man who hated her was suffering even more than she was.

But hidden inside Arjun's jacket pocket was a photograph.

A photograph taken five years ago.

A photograph containing a secret capable of destroying both their lives.

And someone had just stolen a copy of it.
