Liam fidgets with the papers in his hands, his eyes staring down at them nervously. He’s nervous about starting at a new school

Oh there he is now
The door to the office opens and a young man steps in with a friendly smile

I’m here to show the student around

The principal gestures towards Liam, and Cody turns to look at him as well
Liam slowly raises his hand to wave slightly before raising his eyes as well

Cody, please show Liam around the school and to his classes

Liam stands up and follows Cody out of the office and down the school halls

Cody shows Liam to their class and they both head inside the classroom

Cody sits down and Liam walks over to stand directly in front of the class

Liam looks around and finds an empty seat near the back and sits down

After the bell rings, signaling that the first class is over, Cody stands from his seat and walks over to Liam who is packing his things into his bag

Liam looks over at the teacher who signals him to come over to his desk
Liam walks over to the teachers desk and Cody follows

Cody and Liam leave the classroom and start walking to the next class

Liam hands Cody the paper. Cody takes it and starts scanning over it

Looks like we have most the classes together

Cody hands the paper back to Liam and starts leading him to the next class

After a few classes, it’s now time for lunch

They head over to an empty table and start eating lunch

Cody laughs slightly and rests his chin on his hand

Liam asks, trying to not be rude and ask Cody about himself as well so it’s not all about him

Well I do like playing sports, that’s something I guess

Well I play basketball but I really love football

They both went silent and ate their lunches awkwardly
After a little, Liam finally spoke up

Suddenly, someone put their foot on the table’s bench while throwing their arm around Cody’s shoulders

After school, Cody and Liam walk out through the front doors together

Liam nods before walking away. Cody watches him from the steps by the door

Aiden says as he walks up beside Cody, swinging his arm around him

Cody leaves and heads to his place
Liam reaches his home which is about a 5 minute walk from the school
He heads inside the house and calls out
There’s no answer, so he sighs and heads upstairs and into his room that’s still full of unpacked boxes
Liam sits on his bed and reads a book for a little bit then he gets bored. He decides to look around the house but that got boring too
He thinks for a moment then decides to head outside
We wonders into the woods behind his house and it’s actually beautiful
The trees are not to far apart but just enough, the leaves are spread out on the ground with the sun shining down on them
Liam walks through the forest deeper and deeper while enjoying the view and the scent of nature
Then suddenly theres the sound of leaves crunching behind him and he whips around
As soon as he does, he gasps and falls back onto the ground
He wasn’t expecting anyone to actually be there but there is

You…..scared me….
There in front of him, stands a big black wolf, larger than any other wolf Liam has seen before
The wolf just stands there, staring at Liam who is still on the ground
Liam Wilson
Ok….just don’t hurt me ok
Liam slowly stands from the ground, trying not to startle the wolf
He’s lived in places with wild animals before so he’s not to afraid of them
Liam Wilson
I’ve never seen a wolf so….big
The wolf takes a step forward which makes Liam freeze

Ok it’s ok, I’ll leave

I didn’t mean to intrude in you space
Liam steps away to leave but the wolf starts quickly walking towards him

E-Easy there boy

I’m leaving ok?
Liam stares at the wolf for a moment, confused why it seems so calm and not at all hostile.
The wolf stares as Liam leaves watching him closely
Liam heads back to his place and up to his room
When he reaches, he opens his laptop and starts searching about wolves

All of these different wolves aren’t that large….

Why is this one different?
Liam continues searching but can’t seem to find anything on it
Then he hears someone call him from downstairs

Liam, come down here
Liam closes his laptop and rushes downstairs

I’m going out tonight

You’ll have to figure out your own dinner

What am I supposed to do for dinner?

We just moved here, we don’t have anything-
Liam flinches when his mother yelled and his head drops down immediately, his eyes staring at the floor

I’m sorry, I’ll figure something out
Emma’s voice quiets down and she fixes her hair before grabbing her purse and putting it on her shoulder

Now I’m leaving, behave
Liam keeps his head down until Emma leaves and the door closes behind her
Liam let’s out a long breath and wipes his face with his hand
He scans the kitchen and looks in the fridge but there isn’t any food
So he heads upstairs and grabs some of his own money before leaving and heading to a nearby grocery store
As he walks down the street he feels someone behind him so he turns around

…….are you….following me?

What! Oh no I’m not following you

I’m just heading to the store
Liam Wilson
You live down that way?
Cody Hayes
Yeah, my house is that blue one right there

……I’m the white one next door

Cody laughs and looks back at the house before looking at Liam again. Liam looks at him for a moment with suspicion but then shrugs

Um anyway…. I’m gonna head to the store now

Well since we’re both going there, wanna go together
Cody walks up to Liam and they both walk to the store together

So why are you heading to the store at this time?
Cody Hayes
Same. My mom forgot to pick up some milk and she needs it for the recipe tonight
