MY COLD BILLIONAIRE NEIGHBOR

A RAINY DAY, A NEW NEIGBOUR

MY COLD BILLIONAIRE NEIGHBOR

EPISODE 1

The rain poured heavily over the city.

Cars moved slowly through the crowded streets.

Neon lights reflected on the wet roads.

Inside a small coffee shop called Moonlight Brew, customers filled almost every seat.

Some worked on laptops.

Some chatted with friends.

Others simply enjoyed the warm atmosphere.

Near the counter, a young woman hurried from table to table carrying trays.

"Lena! Table five needs another cappuccino!"

"I'm coming!"

Lena Carter quickly turned around.

Unfortunately, her foot caught the leg of a chair.

"Ah!"

She stumbled forward.

The tray tilted dangerously.

Coffee cups rattled.

Several customers gasped.

But before disaster could happen, Lena somehow regained her balance.

The coffee remained safe.

The customers applauded.

Lena laughed awkwardly.

"Thank goodness."

An elderly customer smiled.

"One day you're going to break every cup in this café."

Lena pointed at him.

"Not today, Mr. Wilson."

The old man laughed.

The entire café felt warm and lively.

That was Lena's world.

Simple.

Busy.

Ordinary.

She liked it that way.

Or at least she thought she did.

---

Across the city...

A black luxury car stopped in front of a massive fifty-story building.

Vale Corporation.

One of the largest companies in the country.

Employees immediately stood straighter.

Security guards greeted respectfully.

The rear door opened.

A tall man stepped out.

Adrian Vale.

Twenty-eight years old.

CEO.

Billionaire.

Feared by employees.

Admired by investors.

Annoyed by almost everyone who knew him personally.

He adjusted his expensive watch.

His expression was cold as usual.

A young employee accidentally dropped a stack of documents nearby.

Papers scattered everywhere.

The employee froze.

Everyone expected Adrian to become angry.

Instead, Adrian looked down.

Then looked at his assistant.

"Pick those up."

The assistant blinked.

"Sir?"

"You have hands."

The assistant hurried to collect them.

Adrian walked away.

The embarrassed employee sighed in relief.

Another employee whispered,

"Our CEO isn't scary."

The assistant replied,

"No. He's worse."

---

Inside the executive meeting room, chaos waited.

Board members argued loudly.

Stocks.

Investments.

Contracts.

Everyone wanted something.

Adrian entered.

Immediately the room became silent.

He sat down.

Opened a file.

Read one page.

Then closed it.

"You've all wasted forty minutes discussing a problem with an obvious solution."

Nobody spoke.

One director swallowed nervously.

Adrian pointed at the report.

"Approve the overseas expansion."

"But the risks—"

"Approved."

"The budget concerns—"

"Approved."

"The shareholders—"

"Approved."

The room fell silent again.

Finally an older board member sighed.

"Then why are we even here?"

Adrian looked up.

"Good question."

---

Several hours later...

Adrian finally left work.

His assistant followed behind.

"Sir, your mother called again."

Adrian continued walking.

"I know."

"Your grandmother called too."

"I know."

"Your former fiancée also called."

Adrian stopped.

For the first time all day.

His expression darkened.

The assistant immediately regretted speaking.

"...Sorry, sir."

Adrian resumed walking.

"Ignore her."

---

Meanwhile...

Inside an expensive restaurant.

A beautiful woman sat by the window.

Her name was Chloe Bennett.

Elegant.

Rich.

Confident.

And Adrian Vale's former fiancée.

A newspaper rested on the table.

The headline showed Adrian's photograph.

Chloe slowly traced his picture with her finger.

Her eyes narrowed.

"You ignored my calls again."

She smiled.

But there was nothing pleasant about it.

"That's okay."

She picked up her purse.

"You're still going to be mine."

---

That same evening...

Lena finally finished her shift.

The café owner handed her an envelope.

"Your salary."

Lena smiled brightly.

"Thank you, Mrs. Rose."

Mrs. Rose laughed.

"Try not to spend it all on books."

"No promises."

Outside, the rain had finally stopped.

The city looked beautiful at night.

Lena began walking home.

She had no idea...

That in less than twenty-four hours...

She would meet the man living next door.

The man who would change her life completely.

Adrian Vale.
