Her Manipulation,His Obsession

chapter 1

Sypnosis:

At university, everyone notices King — quiet, composed, and unnervingly magnetic. But nobody truly knows him. Flora, daring and cunning, can’t resist testing him, pushing boundaries just to see how he reacts. What starts as playful provocation quickly spirals into a dangerous game of curiosity and control. Behind King’s calm exterior lies an intensity that even Flora struggles to understand — an obsession that grows with every calculated move she makes. In a world of lectures, cafeterias, and whispered rumors, their dark connection begins, and no one will remain unaffected.

Chapter 1: The beginning

It was a bright Monday morning at the university. The lecture hall buzzed with the usual chatter, papers shuffling, and students finding their seats. That’s when he appeared — a new student, quiet but confident, taking a seat two rows in front of her.

Earlier, he had introduced himself to the class. “I’m King,” he said, his voice calm, carrying a weight that made a few heads turn. He shook hands politely but didn’t seek attention — yet somehow, everyone noticed him.

Flora had been watching from the back, pretending to focus on her notes, but her curiosity was piqued. The lecture dragged on, and once the professor left, she made her move.

With a flick of her wrist, she dropped his notebook.

“Pick it up,” she demanded, leaning forward just enough to catch his gaze.

He stared, calm, unreadable.

She smirked, scoffing. “What, you just gonna stare at me? You wanna hit me or something? Pick it up.”

Slowly, deliberately, he bent and retrieved the book.

“Good boy,” she said, grinning, before turning and leaving. The rest of the lecture hall had already dispersed, leaving only the memory of their brief encounter.

By lunchtime, her curiosity had only grown. In the cafeteria, students lined up at the canteen, trays in hand, chatting and laughing. Flora sat with her friends, half-listening while scanning the room. Her eyes fell on him again — King. Sitting alone. Calm. Quiet. But something dark, magnetic, drew her to him.

Without thinking, she stood and walked to his table. With a swift motion, she grabbed his drink, took a long sip, and then — without a word — threw it across him.

The liquid splashed onto his shirt. She smirked, tilting her head, daring him to react.

He didn’t. Not immediately. Only a glare — sharp, cold, unyielding.

Then, taller than she expected, he got up and calmly walked toward the washroom to clean himself.

Flora froze for a second, her smirk faltering as murmurs rippled through the cafeteria. All eyes were on her. Her friends looked uneasy, and whispers spread like wildfire.

Her expression hardened. She stared them down, daring anyone to speak. Slowly, they quieted, returning to their own tables.

Flora walked back to her friends, sitting down as if nothing had happened. But in the back of her mind… she couldn’t stop thinking about him.

Cafeteria incident

Chapter 2 : Cafeteria incident

The hallway was quiet as King walked to his next class. No one had noticed him smile or smirk after the cafeteria incident — not that anyone would’ve dared to look anyway.

When he entered the literature classroom, he found every seat taken… except the one next to her. He slid in quietly. Flora glanced at him, smirked, and turned back to her notes, pretending she wasn’t aware of him.

The teacher began the lesson, discussing poetry and prose, but Flora couldn’t help sneaking glances. King didn’t say a word; his calm, unreadable presence only made her smirk widen. She focused on the teacher, pretending to pay attention, though her mind was already calculating.

Class ended. Students filed out, leaving the two of them alone.

King rose from his seat, but Flora stepped in front of him, blocking the way. She smirked. With a swift motion, she snatched his phone from his hand.

“Unlock it,” she demanded, her voice sharp.

He hesitated only a moment, then obediently unlocked it and handed it over.

Flora’s eyes scanned the messages quickly. Then they landed on a name: Claire.

“Who’s she?” she snapped.

“King… mm…”

He just stared at her .No words came out .

Her patience snapped. With one swift motion, she smashed the phone to the ground.

Without another word, she turned and left, leaving him standing there, calm as ever, yet something dark flickering behind his eyes.

The next day, I rushed to university. Class had already started — English studies.

“Miss Flora, you are late to my class!” the teacher called.

“I can see that, Mr. Richard,” I replied with a smirk, walking to my seat… and finding King already seated right next to me.

I couldn’t resist. I kicked his leg hard and stared at him provocatively before taking my seat.

Class dragged on, and soon it was over. On my way to the cafeteria, I ran into Carlos.

“Hey, Flora,” he said.

I laughed. “Wassup, Carl?”

“Nothing much, just came to meet you. By the way… I won’t be coming to school for a while. Some personal problems.”

“It’s okay, I understand,” I said, giving him a hug. We walked to the cafeteria together.

My eyes scanned the room for King… but he was nowhere to be seen.

Then I felt it — a presence behind me. I turned. King was standing there, expression unreadable as always. It annoyed me to the core.

Suddenly, Carlos nudged me. “Hey, what are you thinking about? Let’s sit here.”

I moved toward him… until a hand gripped mine. I turned, and King’s glare burned into Carlos.

“Why?” I snapped, yanking my hand away. “What the hell is your problem?”

King didn’t answer. He dragged me out of the cafeteria. We were now outside the cafeteria no one was around . He stepped closer, cornering me. His presence was heavy, suffocating.

“You’re mine,” he said quietly, voice low but sharp. “I don’t want to see you with any other man , "Do you understand, flower "?

WTH is your problem!! I talked with gritted teeth .

Suddenly, his hands gripped my throat. I gasped, struggling for air.

“Let go of me!” I cried out.

Then, just as quickly, he released me and stepped back. I froze, shaking, breath uneven. The warning — and his obsession — was crystal clear.

Different side

Chapter 3: Different side

He released me.

I stared at him for a moment, then laughed, smirking as I looked at him. “Hmm… I’ve never seen this side of you before,” I murmured.

I grabbed his hand, bringing it to my throat, and leaned close. “I like it,” I whispered into his ear.

Then I let go, letting him pull his hand back.

“Sorry… I didn’t mean to hurt you,” he said, his voice deep but carrying a quiet innocence. His eyes reflected it too—soft, calm, almost unassuming, as if he hadn’t intended any harm at all.

For a moment, I felt a flicker of guilt for what I’d done. I watched him walk away, and something about the way he carried himself stayed with me.

Class ended, and the students filed out. I looked around, hoping to catch sight of him, but King was gone.

I started heading home.

Up ahead, a commotion made my stomach drop. A group of boys were surrounding someone, hitting him.

It was King.

My vision flared red. Without thinking, I grabbed an iron rod lying nearby and swung it at them. “Leave him alone!” I yelled.

The boys scattered immediately, startled.

I ran to him. He was hurt, seriously injured, yet still… somehow, still had that composed, calm air that made him look untouchable.

“Why didn’t you defend yourself?” I demanded, voice trembling with frustration and fear.

He didn’t answer. He simply stood, brushing off the dust, and started walking.

As he walked away, a faint smile formed on his lips—quiet, subtle, unnoticed by anyone, didn't know it then, but King was about to change everything.

The evening felt strangely quiet as I continued my journey home alone.
