It is the first day of high school and Fushiguro Megumi (MC) was getting ready after a long call with his two best friends nobara and yuji bragging them about to get school soon . This morning Megumi felt a little pain in his abdomen but didn’t care because it was the first day of high school and he couldn’t miss it.

As he was on the way to school he accidentally bumped into someone. He helped the old man up and apologised soon that man studied Megumi for a moment before saying “ That pain … be careful somethings awaken when their time comes ”.Megumi was shocked how the old man knew this but he didn’t have time for this right now .He headed to school as soon as he could because he wasn’t the one to be late at school . Soon enough he reached school. There Nobara and Yuji were waiting for him and were about to scold him for being late but the teacher interrupted and asked the students to work on the given problem on the board.

Nobara whispered : Did u guys know that there is a club for students with powers.

Yuji : Wait What?!

Megumi :Sounds like another one of your rumors.only shrugged clearly uninterested

Nobara : They are testing students who have special powers

Megumi : Where did u heard this non sense from anyways

Megumi was the type that didn’t believe this kinda stuff . On the other hand yuji a total idiot believed everything that was told to him.

Suddenly they heard a loud bang . The door was pushed open by a tall boy with a heavy and broad physique. Everyone’s attention was at that random boy with face and body covered with tattoos. The classroom fell silent as the tattooed boy stepped inside. His sharp gaze swept across the room, making several students instinctively looked away . Sukuna notices Megumi staring and smirks.Megumi immediately looks away, annoyed.Neither says anything, but they leave a strong first impression on each other. The teacher asked him to introduce him self to the class because he was a new student in this school . He introduced him self as Ryomen sukuna and sat down at the back of class.

Soon the class finished and it was recess .

They all were sitting together suddenly yuji started to flex his biceps and asked Megumi and nobara : Be honest—whose biceps are better? Mine or the new guy's?

Nobara burst out laughing : 😂😂 Those? You call those biceps? That's adorable.

Yuji ignored her and turned to Megumi “hey Megumi what do u think about these ”

Megumi : Yea I guess these are just fine

Yuji : Just fine…I worked so hard on them

Suddenly those three were called by a club admin Saturo Gojo. They went there just to find that they were the special group of people to fight the curses. They all were confused soon some other people joined them they were as confused as they were.

Gojo the club admin told everyone to settle down and begin explaining bit by bit to the confused students. He started explaining Students possess hidden powers.They will train to control those abilities.Their duty is to protect ordinary people from curses.Missions will begin only after training.

(Aka that they have to fight the curses and that they have special power which they have to work on and told they would be given some tasks after their training)

Soon they all started discussing the situation to their surprise they saw Sukuna there too

Gojo interrupted :Attention everyone the first session will begin tomorrow and you all will be assigned with certain partner to work with based on their abilities. Now everyone can go back to their classes .

Soon the classes end and everyone was going home .

Nobara and yuji seemed excited about tomorrow’s training and their powers on the other hand Megumi remained unconvinced. To him, the whole thing sounded ridiculous, and he only attended because Gojo insisted.(Gojo was the one taking care of Megumi after his father abandoned him)

Next day:

They all went to the training session .Gojo announced the pairs which were chosen based on compatibility and the potential to help each other develop their abilities. He called one by one

Group 1 : blah blah

Group 2: blah blah

Group 3 : Nobara and maki

Nobara was quiet happy of this pairing

Group 4 : should be Megumi and sakuna

Megumi: You’ve got to be kidding me

Sukuna: I don’t need a partner

Gojo : Quiet down the last pair is

Group 5 : And lastly Yuji and inumaki

Gojo : That’s all

Gojo started to explain that certain students possess dormant abilities that allow them to sense or combat curses. While some abilities works with cursed tools or objects. Soon the training started.

During training:

They started training with their partners they all quickly adapted their powers

Yuji adapted quickly through instinct,nobara also showed surprising precision and on the other hand Megumi struggled because of the strange pain in his abdomen. Sukuna notices but assumes Megumi is weak. Sukuna ignores Gojo's teamwork instructions.

Megumi got irritated because Sukuna acted like he doesn't need anyone.

Sukuna said while grinning: If you can’t keep up, don’t slow me down

Megumi :Worry about yourself.

Other students were also adapting their power but sukuna showed exceptionally well. The other students were shocked by how naturally Sukuna controlled his overwhelming power. Everyone was busy finding g their powers

Then Suddenly Gojo was informed with an emergency mission. Before the students could finish training, an emergency forces them into action.They encounter a weak curse, Gojo thought that this could be a chance giving each student to react under pressure and revealing their personalities and abilities.

Gojo assigned everyone with a specific curse based on their ability.Everyone was fighting the curse this seemed pretty easy for everyone because this year students were adapting everything very quickly .Yuji had killed the curse within 10 min due to his speed and durability Nobara has unlocked her power (resonance) On the other hand Megumi couldnt fight the curse as his pain grew more and more

As the curse rushed toward Megumi and a searing pain ripped through his abdomen. Brilliant light burst from his body, forcing everyone to shield their eyes. The curse stopped mid-attack, trembling as if it had sensed something ancient awakening within him. Even Sukuna's confident expression vanished, replaced by genuine surprise.

End of chap 1

Everyone stared in shock as a brilliant light erupted from Megumi's body. Everyone thought that this could be Megumi’s ability .Sukuna felt something strange from Megumi and thought : “ So it’s really might be him but how is that possible ”

Gojo immediately ends the mission and orders everyone back .Megumi collapsed from exhaustion, remembering nothing of what had just occurred. Yuji and nobara rushed to his side and carried him to the school infirmary

In the infirmary Megumi saw a strange dream The same old man from the street appears in the dream, standing beneath a moonlit sky.

He said: “I warned you because I saw the mark upon you. Others will see it too, and not all of them come as friends.”Megumi tried to ask what he meant, but before the words left his mouth, the old man dissolved into mist.

Megumi woke up startled and saw that he was in the infirmary as soon he woke up yuji and nobara bombarded him with tons of questions;What was that light? , How did you do that? ,Are you hiding your real power?" Megumi didn’t know what they were talking about and was confused

Yuji: You glowed like a human flashlight! Do it again!

Megumi: I almost passed out.

Nobara: Yeah, but it was pretty cool.

Megumi: I'm surrounded by idiots.

Megumi asked them to shutup soon enough both of them closed their mouth

Megumi groaned in pain as his pain only increased Elsewhere, A single message appeared on Sukuna's phone: 'The vessel has awakened. Watch the boy named Megumi. Do not underestimate him.'

Megumi swung his legs over the side of the infirmary bed and stood up. “I’m fine now,” he said, brushing off the nurse’s concern. “I can walk back to the dorm myself.”

Before he could take another step, Yuji was already beside him.

“No way. I’m coming with you.”

Megumi frowned. “You don’t have to.”

“I know I don’t have to,”

Yuji replied. “I want to.It’s only a short walk.”

And you collapsed a few hours ago,

Yuji shot back. “If you get dizzy again, who’s going to catch you?”

Megumi sighed, realizing there was no point arguing. “You worry too much.”

“Maybe,” Yuji admitted with a small grin, “but I’d rather worry too much than leave you alone.”

Nobara, watching from the doorway, smirked. “Just let him escort you already. He’s been hovering around this infirmary since you passed out.”Nobara left them because she had some urgent work to deal with

Megumi glanced at Yuji, who scratched the back of his neck in embarrassment.

“Fine,” Megumi muttered. “You can come.”

Yuji’s expression brightened instantly. Without another word, he matched Megumi’s pace as they walked out of the infirmary together, keeping close enough to steady him if he stumbled but careful not to make it obvious.

Megumi went to take a shower and yuji went to buy some snacks he turned on the shower and let the cold water run over him. The chill stole his breath for a moment, but it helped clear the haze from his mind. He stood there in silence, letting the steady stream wash away the exhaustion and dried blood from the mission.

Despite the refreshing cold, questions kept circling in his thoughts. Why had he collapsed? What was the strange light everyone claimed to have seen? And why couldn't he remember any of it?

When he stepped out and wrapped a towel around his shoulders, there was a knock at the door.

“Megumi?” Yuji's voice called from outside who had just got back from the convenience store. “Just checking in. You okay?”

Megumi paused before answering. “Yeah. I'm fine.”

There was a brief silence before Yuji replied, “Good. If you need anything, let me know.”

A faint smile crossed Megumi's face. “I will.”

Only after hearing Yuji's footsteps fade down the hallway did Megumi finish getting dressed, still unable to shake the feeling that something inside him had changed

Goje went to the organisation and frowned as he reviewed the reports. The energy surrounding Megumi matched descriptions from ancient records, but he couldn't be certain. If his suspicion was correct, protecting the boy had just become humanity's highest priority because he was the core seed for curses

END OF CHAP 2

After getting dressed, Megumi sat down with Yuji to share the snacks he had brought back from the convenience store. The two spent the evening playing video games, laughing and arguing over every match until exhaustion finally caught up with them.

By the time Megumi was ready to sleep, he walked into his room only to find Yuji already lying comfortably on the bed.

Megumi stared at him. "Why are you in my bed?"

Yuji glanced up innocently. "It's comfortable."There's a perfectly good couch."

"Yeah, but this is better."

Megumi crossed his arms. "Go use the couch."

Yuji looked away, pretending to think about it. "I might. Eventually."

Megumi sighed "You're impossible."

Yuji grinned "I just figured... after everything that happened today, it'd be good if someone was nearby in case you weren't feeling well again."

Megumi narrowed his eyes. "You're making excuses."

A small grin tugged at the corner of Yuji's mouth. "Maybe."

The two argued for several more minutes, neither willing to give in. In the end Megumi sighed in defeat. He knew how stubborn Yuji could be, and once he had made up his mind, changing it was nearly impossible.

"Fine" Megumi muttered as he climbed into bed. "But stay on your side."

Yuji smiled to himself and nodded a little too quickly."Deal."

Megumi didn't notice the quiet look of contentment on Yuji's face as the lights went out. Before long, both of them drifted off to sleep, the events of the day finally giving way to a peaceful silence.

That night, Megumi found himself dreaming once again.

He stood beneath a pale moonlit sky, the air heavy with silence. Across from him stood the same mysterious old man, his expression more serious than before.

"I warned you once" the old man said quietly. "The mark is growing stronger. They know where to find you now."

Megumi stepped forward. "Who are you? What mark?"

Before the old man could answer, his figure dissolved into mist and vanished.

Megumi jolted awake with a gasp clutching his abdomen as a sharp pain coursed through him.For a brief moment, a faint light flickered around his body before disappearing into the darkness.

Breathing heavily, he looked around the room, unsure if it had all been a dream.

The sudden movement stirred Yuji from his sleep.

He blinked awake and immediately noticed Megumi sitting upright, one hand pressed against his abdomen.

"Hey," Yuji mumbled, his voice still thick with sleep. "You okay?"

Megumi quickly lowered his hand. "Just a bad dream."

Yuji studied him for a moment, unconvinced, but chose not to press the issue.

"If you're not feeling well" he said quietly "wake me up next time."

Megumi looked away. "You need sleep too."

Yuji shrugged with a small smile. "Doesn't matter. I'd rather know you're okay."

For a brief moment, neither of them spoke. Then Megumi let out a quiet sigh.

"I'm fine" he insisted.

Yuji nodded, though the concern never left his face. "Alright. But I'm keeping an eye on you anyway."

The next morning Megumi and Yuji made their way to school as usual. As they walked through the streets, Yuji couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching them.

He glanced over his shoulder more than once but saw nothing out of the ordinary. I'm probably just imagining it, he thought pushing the uneasy feeling aside.

Classes passed without incident, and before long it was time for their training session with Gojo.

On the way to the training grounds, Yuji excused himself to use the restroom.

As he stepped into the hallway outside a familiar voice caught his attention.

It was Gojo.

He wasn't alone he was speaking quietly on the phone, his tone unusually serious.

"...I'm telling you, the signs match the ancient records," Gojo said. "If my suspicions are correct, Megumi may be the Core Seed. We can't afford to let that information get out."

Yuji froze where he stood.

Core Seed???

The words echoed in his mind as he listened in stunned silence, suddenly realizing there was far more to Megumi's mysterious awakening than anyone had told them.

After Gojo left, Yuji remained frozen in place, his mind racing with questions. The words Core Seed echoed in his head refusing to leave him."

The training grounds buzzed with the sounds of students sparring as Gojo gathered everyone for the day's exercises.

"Today is simple," Gojo announced with a grin. "No holding back. I want to see how you react under pressure."

The students paired off, and Megumi found himself facing Sukuna.

For a moment, neither of them moved.

Then Sukuna stepped forward with calm confidence. "Try not to disappoint me."

Megumi frowned but raised his guard.

The spar began with a flurry of quick strikes and careful footwork. Megumi fought with determination, but every time their attacks met, Sukuna watched him with unusual focus, as if searching for something hidden beneath the surface.

"You're distracted" Sukuna remarked after narrowly avoiding a strike.

"So are you" Megumi shot back.

A faint smile crossed Sukuna's face.

For the briefest instant, as their hands collided, a soft pulse of light flickered around Megumi. It vanished almost immediately, unnoticed by everyone except Sukuna.

His expression hardened.

So it really is you, he thought.

Before anyone could question what had happened, Gojo called an end to the exercise. The other students assumed it had been nothing more than a trick of the light, but Sukuna's eyes lingered on Megumi long after the match was over, his curiosity only growing stronger.
