Me, a 16 year old girl, named Ivy. Set out to declare the whole world that I am someone no one can defeat.

Sometimes it turned correct and sometimes wrong, but I did not give up……when……

My parents passed away in an accident, leaving me nothing but memories to have for the rest of my life.

I started living with my uncle, Mr. Daniel, he seemed like a great men until I found his true intentions were to……only to make it worse for me……………

He sent me out for an excuse to get milk.

After a few minutes, when I came, I found him to be missing. At first, I thought, he must have went for work. I waited till midnight.

No calls, no messages, no note, nothing that could indicate that he will come back but I waited.

Two days passed, no sign of him, I went to the nearby police station, and the police inspector looked at me with his warm eyes. His name was John.

John: Are you looking for someone, dear?

I replied with a soft voice: Yes I am, my uncle Daniel seems to be missing, he has not come home for the last two days.

John with his eyes wide and full of pity looked at me and said: He is one of my close friends, he came two days before and said he is going to leave this city forever, I didn’t knew he had a child with him too. How could he be so careless? I will be sure to contact him soon enough, but if you want, I will give you my number, if anything happens. I am a call away.

I went blank. I somehow forced myself to nod and leave the police station. I went home, made myself a sandwich and ate it. I thought for a while and looked for a part time job.

I found a part time job in a library, I kinda loved it. My mom used to love reading books and dad used to love buying it for mom.

Days passed, home to school then school to library then from library and back to home. I thought my life was set to this only…until one day………

I visited the forest, it took 30 minutes from my house to the forest, I walked into the forest.

The trees got bigger and huge as I walked deeper into the forest. I heard the sound of water rustling and of a violin being played expertly. I followed the sound and walked towards it. I saw a beautiful waterfall, something I never saw it until today. I walked more deeper trying to find out exactly who is playing the violin…….

I got tired, I thought I was getting close but the sound seemed more far and I was tired of walking. It seemed like I was stuck in the middle. I decided to walk more and more until….the violin’s sound went silent and I saw him………….

I saw him, he was unusually handsome. I kinda envied him but also was curious how it would feel like to be in his arms. The way he played the violin, softened my heart completely like, the cherry blossoms starts rustling and creating a soft music, I want to get lost into.

He noticed me and suddenly the violin disappeared from his hands and a sword came.

I gasped, not knowing what to do next so I sprinted into a run deeper into the woods trying to escape but he was lightening fast and caught me.

I looked up at him with wide eyes almost begging for him not to hurt me. His eyes somehow seemed to be getting soften as he looked at me.

He smiled at me, and ruffled my hair and said in his warm charming voice: You are lost? You seem like you do, little one.

Instead of being relief, I got a bit pouty, since he called me a little one, I looked up at him and said loudly: I am not a little one! I am 16!!

He smiled charmingly at me and knelt down to my level: fine, you aren’t little, you are cute.

I blushed at it, and looked away and saw an old temple with greenery surrounding the golden building, I smiled softly. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

I asked him: what’s your name?

He replied: Viktor

I repeated the same, testing its sound on my tongue: Viktor it is.

He smiled and nodded.

I asked him: what’s the building over there? Looks kinda abandoned

He looked where I was pointing at and replied: that’s a temple and more likely the place where I live.

I was surprised for a moment: you live in the woods?

He nodded.

I asked again: but why? Don’t you have a house? Your parents?

He went quiet. After a long time, he replied: they left me, left me the moment I was born, I couldn’t do anything about it, cuz I was a newborn baby.

I went quiet for a while too and again said: don’t you go to school? Why do you live here? Live in the city, in the orphanage and study.

He sighs and said: I am not a real human

I was kinda confused at first and then ended up laughing looking at him like if he had grown a second head: Are you even listening to yourself? You aren’t human? Then what are you? A donkey?

He replied: I am a soul, a restless soul who doesn’t know what’s his point is in this world but keeps going on and on.

I went quiet for a while and said: are you joking? Are there cameras here? Is this a comedy short?

I looked around to look for any other cameras around.

He laughed: I am not lying!

I said back in his tone: when did I ever said that?!

He replied back in that tone: you seemed like that!

I replied back: you can’t just assume stuff like that!!

We both bickered each other for a while like that until I realized, it was getting dark. He agreed to take me home and we walked together in silence.

He dropped me home and I offered him a candy as a thank you for dropping me. He took it without any words and ate it and walked back into the forest.

I went back to bed, thinking it’s all a dream but I kinda liked that guy. He was cute.

I tossed and turned, unable to sleep on the bed, I kept thinking about him, and tried to make myself sleep and it soon caught me.

I dreamt about him, being in an adventure and he found the secret key for his escape and took me with him, and as he was about to say something……

……..I woke up.

I groaned to myself, why do I wake up when the scenes get interesting.

I got up and got ready for school.

Flash forward to when I came back home from the school and library part time job. I decided to go again to that forest. I put on my shoes and headed straight to the forest.

I went there when I saw a creature with horns on its head, as I was about to call out to it, eager to know who it is.

The creature turned and I looked at it eagerly, trying to know who it was..and when I see it……………it was…………………………………………………….

I eagerly looked at the creature with wide eyes, trying to make sense of it. As it turned……..it was him with horns on its head. I was shocked and my mind went crazy. How could a human have horns over its head?!

Meanwhile Viktor smirks at me and teases me with his gorgeous eyes.

I was still in shock, trying to make sense of what I just saw. I looked at him and tried to have a conversation with him but no words came out of my mouth.

He looked down at me, staring and said softly almost like he is whispering to me: Done staring, little kitten? I must say you look adorable when you stare like that.

I had no words, my face had grown into as red as a tomato. I shook my head, trying to seem normal, I looked away for a few minutes and took deep breaths to calm myself.

I finally looked at him and asked in a quiet almost like a child trying to speak.

I finally find the courage and askedhim: so……what? I mean how are horns there?

He looked at me and said: I told you yesterday too. I am not a human.

I was quiet for some moment, trying to find the right words for it. I looked at him and then asked: then what are you?!

I kinda sounded like I was trying to make myself feel less like a fool but I was still kinda embarrassed about the way I acted before.

He smiles and said: I am a lost soul in this world, trying to find my place. I was never born as a human, I was born for something else, I still can’t figure out about.

I looked at him: a lost soul? So you came from heaven? What’s it like there?

He laughs to see me curious about all this and said: maybe you could say I am from heaven, but you know not every thing you assume is great. Heaven is hard at its own place too.

I look away trying to understand then I shrug it off and changed the subject: so you have special powers?

He looks at me: every creature in this world has a special power, you have a special power too, I have it too and this forest which we are in has a power too. We just have to find it.

I smiled at him: you talk just like my mom, she was like this too, always giving out quotes like these to me and my dad.

He nods and took my hand and tugged me to follow him.

At first, my face burnt a bit, the feeling of his hand in mine and to walk together but I try to keep that feeling inside me and I continued following him.

For about an hour we walked and walked, and I was tired and stopped him to ask;m: how long will it take more to reach wherever you are taking me?

He smiled with those blue eyes of his, shimmering in the brightness from the sun: just a bit more, trust me.

All this was like a dream come true. I was amazed, and in excitement I give him gentle smacks on his back and he shakes his head smiling.

I almost screamed: How did you find it?!!

He looks at me: it’s my most favorite place ever, I was born here, and it’s like my second home after that temple you saw where I actually live.

I was still in shock, I ran to the river and played with the water and went in and called out: come on! Let’s play together

I splashed the water at him.

He joined me in too and we played for hours untill the sun set and at night it felt like I was in a different world. I wanted to live here forever.

He smiled at me and laid beside me on the grass.

He asked softly: are you enjoying it?

And I excitedly said: of course I am!!! I wanna live here

He smiled and said: I would love a company too

And that way, we shared our thoughts and spent the night at that magical place together…………….
