I woke up to the sound of my alarm reached out my hand to turn it off "ahhh five more minutes please" as soon as I close my eyes about to sink back into dream land suddenly a voice I know very well to be my best friend screamed my name "you better get your ass off that bed else you will be late for work" still sleepy I could only say "hmmmm" but then realization stroke me "demn I totally forgot today is my first day of work" l got off the bed went to the bathroom and did my morning ritual as fast as I can. I dress up in a simple but formal outfit went out and behold my guardian angel handed me breakfast she had already prepared "thanks babe what can I ever do without you" and she replied "absolutely nothing dear" I sat down and had my breakfast and went off to work.

I am Selina DesmoId i stay with my best friend Anna since she is the only person I have left in this world.I lost my mom and dad in a car accident not long after my collage entrance exams making me lose all hope in my studies but destiny smiled at me and i got a scholarship because of my high marks.

I arrived at my destination and payed the taxi driver and went straight in.

I went straight to work definitely not before greeting my colleagues some responded with a polite smile while some didn't even look at me but who cares since they ain't the once paying my salary. I sat down to start working then the lady sitting next to me introduce herself as Mary and told me to ignore all those rude colleagues I introduced myself as Selina and turned back to work. I kept working without checking the time until Mary told me it was time for lunch and we went to the cafeteria together to eat and went back to work. Soon work was over for the day and I left not without telling Mary good bye since she is the only one I talk to.

I went home and saw Anna talking off her shoes seems like she just got home too "hey baby girl" "hey how was your first day at work" "not bad I'm starving" we cooked dinner together and ate "so tell me about your first day at work" i narrated my whole day to her and she said "boring not even an handsome guy approached you at work" "you have a nerve to say that to me ain't we the same? you also don't have a guy in your life as for me I am single and happy while you are single and desperate" "you dare say that to me I'll strangle you to death" she pounced on me and i shouted "I was wrong I take back my words" we talked for a while and then when to sleep so we won't be late for work the next day.

The next day I woke up to the sound of my alarm lazily draged my self out of bed to the bathroom did my business, came out dress up and went out for breakfast "good morning lovie" "good morning let me help you prepare breakfast" we prepared breakfast together, ate and we both went off to work. I got to work greeted my colleagues not minding if they respond or not and I went to my work station but I felt something was off because the atmosphere was different from the previous day.

so I asked Mary if everything was ok and why everyone is so worked up. she just smiled and said "today is one of the most terrifying days" "huh I don't get it what do you mean" she began to explain "the CEO is holding an inspection and he is very strict any little mistake detected you will be fired" "ohh but why are they putting on makeup" i said looking at the ladies sitting at the other side "our CEO is young, rich and handsome they hope to catch his attention" i just sigh and turned to work while I was still working everywhere became silent but I just ignore it and continue working. Engrossed in work I heard a cold and authoritative voice I couldn't really get what he was saying but I heard someone apologizing it kept going on and on and then I heard a knock on my desk I looked up behold an angel standing before me a tall, ocean blue eyes, black hair, the most perfect I have ever seen. His eyes were looking deep into mine as if searching my soul. I quickly looked away knowing he must be the CEO I greeted"good morning sir " he just nodded and checked what I have doing noticing I haven't done anything much he asked "how long have you been working here" and I replied "I just started yesterday Sir" he didn't say anything more and continue his inspection and fired those he wanted to fire. after he was done with the inspection and left everyone released the breath the didn't know they were holding. Soon it was time for lunch Mary and I went to the cafeteria ate and went back to work. Finally the day is over I bid Mary farewell and went home luckily for me Anna came back before me and already made dinner "girrrl you are my saving grace" she giggled "thank God you are aware of that" she said. we ate and started random conversations she told me about how her day went and her annoying colleagues who always wants to compete with her. Anna is model and is very good at it. I then told her about how my day went including the inspection and the hot CEO she was excited saying stuff's like "finally going to witness the drama's I've been watching in real life" "stop talking nonsense dumb head. we talked for a while and then went to bed.

ALEXANDER'S POV

seems like i woke up on the wrong side of the bed and I need to find a way to vent my frustration. "I have an idea" I said to myself it has been long I held an inspection in the company I have to use this opportunity to calm myself down. I told Andrew my assistant to give a quick notice to the employees and he did as he was told. I decided to watch what was going on in the company through the CCTV to be able to fish them out more easily. I could see the terror in the eyes of some and then the ladies that kept fixing their makeup and bodies hmmm so funny but something caught my attention I saw a lady getting in she doesn't seem to have any makeup on or maybe I couldn't see it from the footage anyways she greeted her colleagues even though some didn't respond she didn't seem to care she sat down then asked the lady next to her something I couldn't hear and started working seeing how calm she was while others were panicking amused me and I told Andrew it is time for the inspection to start. Immediately I walked in every were became drop pin silent. I started checking their work stations not wanting to see anything wrong not even a dust some typed with the wrong spacing "is this how to do your job? did you read the instructions before doing it?" "sorry sir" that is all I've been hearing. finally I got to where she was but then I realized she didn't even look up since I walked in she was so engrossed in work and didn't even notice my presence. I cleared my throat to draw her attention but failed I then knocked on her desk she looked up and I forgot how to breathe she was so gorgeous and she truly don't have any makeup on just natural. I think she felt uncomfortable with the way I looked at her so she looked away and greeted me politely I couldn't find my voice still mesmerized by her beauty I could only nod and went ahead to check her work but she hasn't done anything much so I asked"how long have you been working here" and she replied "I just started yesterday " wow I take back my words she has done so much for someone who just started yesterday and without any mistake but I didn't say anything but just continued I was done and went back to my office I went to watch the footage again and she was still working the lady next to her said something to her and she checked her wrist watch and then got up I also checked my watch realize it was already time for lunch I called my assistant to order lunch for me and to find out what her name was. he was shocked but did it anyways when he came back he said "boss her name Selina" I smiled "Selina Selina till we meet again"
