she boarded the wrong train
The evening rush was a whirlwind of noise and heat.
Ella, as usual ,was struggling
To keep her balance .she was a hardworking woman ,but grace wasn't her strength . She was the kind of person who could trip over the air.
Called out as they pushed through the crowd .

But Ella was already gone
By the time she grabbed the cold bottle , and turned back the platform was a blur . A train was already sliding past. In the chaos she couldn't see alice anywhere . afraid of being left behind in the dark, Ella made a run for it and jumped through the closing doors.
She hit the floor hard and for a moment every thing went black.

Are you ok? that was a nasty fall
Ella opened her eyes to see a girl was standing over her .she nodded slowly, her head was spinning
She sat up and looked around but a shiver ran down her spine .the train was different it was too clean and the other passengers were sitting in complete silence staring straight ahead.
Suddenly the tain plunged into a deep tunnel , a sharp white light exploded through the windows filling the carriage . Until ella had to cover her eyes a strange humming sound echoed in her ears, making her skin tangle.
When the light faded the train showed through a stop the door hissed opened . The crowd moved as one . Stepping out onto the platform dazed ella followed them
She stepped out and froze the station looked like hers but the colour seemed too bright . And the air felt unnaturally still. There was no smell of city smoke or street food . There was only a heavy mysterious silence.
Ella looked around for familiar face but everyone looked strange ,
She took a deep breath,her heart was racing
Mortisyn
Ella stood on the platform, her breath hitching in her throat. She had lived in this city her entire life, but she had never heard of a place called 'Mortisyn.' The station was wrapped in an unnatural darkness. Beyond the platform, there were no city lights or tall buildings—only the silhouettes of massive, twisted trees that seemed to reach for the violet sky. Panic surged through her. She spun around, calling out for Alice, but her voice was swallowed by the heavy silence.
Lily
"You don't look like you belong here,"
Ella jumped. It was the girl from the train. She was standing just a few feet away, watching Ella with an unreadable expression.
Ella
"Please," "Can you tell me where I am? I’ve never seen this station before. I think I took the wrong train."
Lily
"I knew it. You aren't one of us."
Ella
What? What do you mean?
Lily
The girl pointed to a rusted sign hanging above them. "This is Mortisyn. Mortis means death. Syn means connection. This is the place between."
Ella felt the blood drain from her face.
Ella
"What are you talking about? Look, just... just tell me when the next train comes. I need to go home."
Lily
That was the last train for a long time. "And you need to understand this isn't a normal station. Look at the people around you, Ella. None of them are alive."
Ella froze. She looked at the crowd filing off the platform. They moved with a strange, heavy rhythm, their eyes vacant and skin pale.

"Are there cameras? This isn't funny!"
Lily
Look at them ,"Really look. Do they look like they are playing a joke?"
A wave of horror washed over Ella. She felt like the world was tilting.
Ella
"Does that mean... am I dead too?"
Lily
"You still have a body. I can smell it."
Ella
"What? Excuse me? I take a bath every day and I wear very expensive perfume! How can I smell?"
Lily
"Not that kind of smell. I mean the smell of life. The smell of blood pumping through veins. It’s... rare here."
Ella let out a shaky breath, a tiny bit of relief mixing with her fear.

"Oh. Sorry. I misunderstood. So... if I’m not dead, the next train will come tomorrow, right?"
Lily
there is some issue with the station it will take some days to resolve this
Lily
You cannot stay out here on the platform for five days, Ella. It’s not safe for someone like you."
Ella looked at the dark woods and the silent, ghostly figures wandering in the shadows.

"Five days? Where will I go? I can't stay here with... with ghosts."

"You can come with me. "You can stay at my house until the next train arrives."
Ella looked at the stranger. Her mind was racing. Should I trust a girl I just met in a place called 'Death Connection'? Is she really a ghost? And if I go with her, will I ever be able to leave?
Ella stood at the edge of the platform, caught between the terrifying darkness and a stranger who claimed to be her only hope.
