Mira sat alone in her room, tears continuously falling from her eyes. Her mother had left , giving her time to accept the truth while outside she herself was barely controlling her own tears.
As evening approached, the sound of expensive cars stopping outside the house broke the silence.
A black Mercedes-Benz S-Class stopped in front of the small house. Four bodyguards stepped out first before opening the back door for a middle-aged man in a formal suit — Secretary Chen.
Seeing such a scene, almost every neighbor came out to their balconies.
