BLOODBOUND SECRETS (TAEKOOK)
THE BOY WHO COULD NOT BE CONTROLLED
Rain drummed softly against the train window as Taehyung stared into the darkness outside.
The world blurred past in shades of gray and black.
Villages.
Forests.
Empty roads.
Everything seemed distant.
Unimportant.
His fingers tightened around the old envelope resting on his lap.
The envelope had belonged to his grandmother.
The only family he had ever truly known.
Three weeks ago, she had passed away.
Three weeks ago, his entire life had changed.
Now he was traveling toward a place he had never heard of until her lawyer mentioned it.
Blackthorn Academy.
An elite boarding school hidden deep within the mountains.
According to the letter his grandmother had left behind, she had arranged for him to attend years ago.
The thought confused him.
His grandmother had always been protective.
Sometimes strangely protective.
There had been rules growing up.
Rules that never made sense.
Never stay outside after midnight.
Never enter abandoned buildings.
Never follow voices calling your name.
And the strangest rule of all:
"If you ever receive an invitation to Blackthorn Academy, go immediately."
At the time, he had thought she was joking.
Now he wasn't so sure.
The train whistle echoed through the night.
A voice crackled through the speaker.
"Final stop. Blackthorn Station."
Taehyung took a deep breath.
And stepped into a future he couldn't yet understand.
The station was empty.
Cold wind swept across the platform.
Fog curled around old iron lamps.
Waiting near the entrance stood a black car.
Its driver wore a dark uniform.
The moment Taehyung approached, the man opened the door.
That was all he said.
The ride to the academy lasted nearly an hour.
The deeper they traveled into the mountains, the stranger the surroundings became.
Ancient forests surrounded the road.
Massive trees blocked the moonlight.
The air felt heavier.
Almost alive.
Taehyung pressed his forehead against the window.
Then he saw it.
Blackthorn Academy.
His breath caught.
The school looked nothing like the schools he knew.
It looked like a castle.
Dark stone towers stretched toward the clouds.
Massive stained-glass windows reflected flashes of lightning.
Iron gates guarded the entrance.
The entire place looked as though it belonged in another century.
Not the modern world.
The car stopped.
The gates slowly opened.
A chill ran through him.
For reasons he couldn't explain, it felt as though the academy was watching him.
Waiting.
taehyung/witch
What "he muttered"
Nobody answered.
The strange atmosphere lasted several seconds.
Then everything returned to normal.
Conversations resumed.
Students continued walking.
As though nothing had happened.
Taehyung frowned.
That had definitely happened.
He wasn't imagining it.
Yet nobody acknowledged it.
The entire situation made no sense.
And somehow, he had a feeling things were only getting stranger.
Inside the academy, the hallways seemed endless.
Ancient chandeliers illuminated polished stone floors.
Portraits lined the walls.
Some looked so realistic that Taehyung almost expected them to speak.
The academy smelled faintly of old books and rain.
Beautiful.
Mysterious.
Unsettling.
As he followed directions toward the main hall, he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him.
Then he felt it.
A stare.
Intense.
Unmoving.
Slowly he turned.
Across the crowded hall stood a boy.
Dark hair.
Sharp features.
Black uniform.
His expression revealed almost nothing.
Yet his eyes...
His eyes were impossible to ignore.
They were dark.
Dangerous.
Ancient.
For a brief moment, the noise around them disappeared.
The two simply stared at each other.
Something strange happened inside Taehyung's chest.
Not fear.
Not attraction.
Something else.
Something he couldn't explain.
The boy looked equally surprised.
As though seeing Taehyung had shocked him.
Then someone passed between them.
And when Taehyung looked again, the boy was gone.
Vanished.
As though he had never been there at all.
High above the academy, Jungkook stood on a balcony overlooking the courtyard.
His heart pounded.
A sensation he rarely experienced anymore.
Three centuries.
Three hundred years.
And never once had he encountered a human capable of resisting him.
Yet the moment their eyes met, he had tried.
Instinctively.
Without thinking.
A simple command.
A vampire's natural ability.
Compulsion.
"Look away."
Humans always obeyed.
Always.
But Taehyung hadn't.
Instead, he had continued staring directly at him.
Unaffected.
Immune.
Impossible.
Jungkook clenched his jaw.
Who was he?
And why couldn't he be controlled?
That evening, Taehyung finally reached his dormitory.
A spacious room overlooked the forest beyond the academy grounds.
Large windows.
Dark wooden furniture.
A fireplace crackling softly in the corner.
And a roommate already waiting.
"You're the new student?"
Taehyung looked up.
A boy with dark hair sat casually on one of the beds.
"Yeah."
The boy smiled
soobin
"trust me "soobin said ,laughing softly"everybody already knows who you are "
taehyung/witch
"pls don't tell me am famous"
soobin
"Not famous " soobin hesitated "interesting"
soobin
That answer wasn't reassuring.
The two talked while unpacking.
For the first time all day, Taehyung began relaxing.
Maybe Blackthorn wasn't so bad.
Maybe the staring had simply been because he was new.
Maybe everything would eventually make sense.
Unfortunately, fate had other plans.
That night, long after midnight, Taehyung woke suddenly.
The room was silent.
Too silent.
The fire had died.
Moonlight spilled across the floor.
At first, he wasn't sure what had awakened him.
Then he heard it.
A voice.
Soft.
Distant.
Female.
Calling his name.
His entire body stiffened.
The voice sounded familiar.
Yet he couldn't place it.
Slowly he sat upright.
The room remained empty.
Sooah slept peacefully.
The voice came again.
His heartbeat quickened.
The sound seemed to be coming from outside.
From somewhere beyond the academy.
Near the forest.
He stood and walked toward the window.
The moment he looked outside, he froze.
Deep within the trees, far beyond the academy grounds, a silver light glowed.
Bright.
Beautiful.
Impossible.
The light pulsed once.
Twice.
Three times.
Almost as though it were signaling him.
Calling him.
Inviting him.
Then it disappeared.
Leaving only darkness behind.
Taehyung stared into the forest.
A strange feeling settled over him.
The same feeling he had experienced the moment he entered Blackthorn Academy.
The feeling that something had been waiting for him.
Something ancient.
Something hidden.
Something connected to him.
Far away, unseen beneath the academy itself, ancient symbols carved into forgotten stone walls suddenly began glowing.
Silver crescents.
Moon symbols.
Magic sleeping for centuries.
Magic beginning to wake.
And above them all, the moon shone brightly through the clouds.
Watching.
Waiting.
For the arrival of the boy who could not be controlled.

WHISPERS BENEATH THE MOON
Chapter 2: Whispers Beneath the Moon
Morning arrived with a veil of silver mist that clung to the towering spires of Blackthorn Academy. From the window of Dormitory East, Taehyung watched the fog drift lazily over the ancient courtyard. Students crossed the cobblestone paths in neat uniforms, their black coats fluttering behind them like ravens taking flight.
Everything looked normal.
Too normal.
He hadn't stopped thinking about the strange boy from yesterday.
The one with the unnervingly dark eyes.
Or the silver light that had pulsed from the forest in the middle of the night.
Or the voice that had whispered his name.
A knock on the bathroom door startled him.
soobin
"Are you planning to skip breakfast"
He splashed cold water on his face before following his roommate into the hallway.
Blackthorn Academy was already alive with activity. The corridors buzzed with conversation, though every now and then Taehyung caught someone staring before they quickly looked away.
soobin
"You'll get used to it" soobin said, noticing his discomfort
taehyung/witch
"I doubt it"
soobin
he chuckled "blackthorn loves gossip. A new student is practically a holiday"
Taehyung wasn't convinced that gossip alone explained the strange looks.
The dining hall resembled the banquet room of a royal palace.
Long ebony tables stretched across the room beneath crystal chandeliers. Stained-glass windows painted the floor with crimson and violet light.
Students filled every seat.
The moment Taehyung entered, dozens of conversations paused.
Again.
His stomach tightened.
taehyung/witch
"what is their problem?" he whispered
soobin
"They're curious "
taehyung/witch
"No. They're acting like they've seen a ghost"
Before Soobin could answer, someone waved enthusiastically.
A cheerful blond-haired student approached with an easy smile.
jimin /vampire
"I'm jimin"
He extended a hand.
Taehyung shook it.
taehyung/witch
"I'm taehyung"
jimin /vampire
"I know "he laughed "the entire school knows"
taehyung/witch
"Wonderful "
jimin /vampire
"I promise we're not all creepy"
Taehyung raised an eyebrow
taehyung/witch
"that's not exactly convincing"
Jimin laughed loudly enough to earn a few annoyed glances
jimin /vampire
"I like him already"
Another student joined them . He Was taller, with dimples and warm eye
hoseok/ jhope/hobi/vampire
"I'm jung hoseok, you can also call me jhope"
Unlike the others jhope's smile felt completely genuine
hoseok/ jhope/hobi/vampire
"ignore jimin"
jimin /vampire
"I was being friendly "
hoseok/ jhope/hobi/vampire
"You were being loud "
The three laughed together, easing some of Taeyan's nerves.
For the first time since arriving, Blackthorn felt almost...normal.
High above the dining hall, hidden behind stained-glass windows, Jungkook watched.
His expression remained unreadable.
Yoongi stepped beside him.
yoongi/ vampire
"Still watching"
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"I'm observing"
yoongi/ vampire
"that's what you've called it since yesterday"
His gaze remained fixed on Taeyan.
He still couldn't understand it.
Every instinct screamed that something about the new student was different.
Ancient.
Powerful.
Impossible.
yoongi/ vampire
"he smiled" yoongi noted
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"What?"
yoongi/ vampire
"You smiled yesterday "
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"I did not "
yoongi/ vampire
He smirked"I've known you for two hundred years "
yoongi/ vampire
"I'm concerned"
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"of course you are"
yoongi/ vampire
"Just don't let curiosity become attachment"
yoongi/ vampire
Jungkok remained silent.
Because deep down...
He wasn't sure the difference still existed.
After breakfast, first-period history began.
Professor Aldridge was a thin man with silver hair and sharp eyes.
professor Aldridge
"welcome to blackthorn academy" he began
professor Aldridge
"this institution has existed for over six hundred years"
Taehyung glanced around.
The classroom itself looked older than that.
Ancient books lined the shelves.
Candles flickered despite the electric lights.
Strange symbols decorated the ceiling.
professor Aldridge
this academy has survived wars, plagues, and kingdoms rising and falling " his voice echoed softly"history leaves marks"
For a brief second, Taehyung thought Professor Aldridge looked directly at him.
professor Aldridge
"some marks never fades
A strong chill crawled across his skin
When class ended, students poured into the hallway.
Namjoon, the academy prefect, stood near the staircase helping first-year students find their next classrooms.
He carried himself with calm confidence.
Unlike everyone else, he didn't stare at Taehyung
Instead, he simply nodded politely.
Namjoon/vampire
"if you need help finding classroom, my office is on the second floor" he said
Namjoon/vampire
"Try not to wander into the west wing "
taehyung/witch
Taehyung frowned. " why"
Namjoon/vampire
He smiled lightly" you'll get lost "
Something told taehyung that wasn't the real reason
During lunch, Daehun watched from across the hall.
He had noticed Jungkook's attention.
And he hated it.
Jungkook never wasted time on humans.
Never.
Yet for two days he had watched Taehyung
Protected him.
Observed him.
It irritated Daehun more than he cared to admit.
kang daehun/ vampire/Jungkook's enemy
"what make him so special"
No answer came.
But Daehun intended to find out.
Even if he had to do it himself.
The afternoon passed quietly.
Until the final bell rang.
Students drifted toward the dormitories.
Taehyung decided to explore the academy before sunset.
The corridors twisted endlessly.
Every hallway looked identical.
Eventually he realized he was lost.
Again.
taehyung/witch
"I should've asked namjoon
He sighed.
Turning another corner, he froze.
The hallway ahead was completely empty.
Unlike the others, this corridor felt...
Different.
Colder.
Blue flames burned inside silver candle holders.
Ancient portraits lined the walls.
At the very end stood a massive black door carved with moons and stars.
The same symbols from his dream.
His heartbeat quickened.
Without thinking, he walked closer.
The air grew colder.
His wrist tingled.
He reached toward the carved door.
The moment his fingertips brushed the wood...
Silver light burst beneath his hand.
The symbols glowed.
The entire corridor trembled.
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"what are you doing?"
Taehyung jumped.
Jungkook stood behind him.
His expression had gone pale.
Not angry.
Alarmed.
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"you shouldn't be here"
taehyung/witch
"I got lost"
Jungkook looked at the glowing door.
Then at Taehyung
His jaw tightened.
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"the door hasn't reacted in centuries"
taehyung/witch
"What does that mean"
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"it means...."
Before Jungkook could answer, the light vanished.
The corridor returned to normal.
Silence filled the space.
Jungkook stared at the door for several long moments.
Finally he looked back at Taehyung
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"You didn't see anything "
taehyung/witch
Taehyung folded his arms "I definitely did"
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
He sighed "this academy has secret
taehyung/witch
"I've noticed "
jeon jungkook/vampire prince
"And for your own safety " his voice softened "stop searching for them
taehyung/witch
" I don't think the secrets are giving me much of a choice"
For the first time, Jungkook didn't argue.
Because deep inside...
He feared Taehyung was right.
Far beneath Blackthorn Academy, ancient silver runes flickered to life.
Something long asleep had awakened.
And it had recognized the boy whose touch could open doors forgotten by time.
