Random Thoughts
part 1
"The Weight I Never Named"
There is a war inside my chest
that no one hears.
Every heartbeat sounds like
another question without an answer.
I keep wondering
if disappearing would finally
make the silence quiet.
But somewhere, hidden beneath
the rubble of every broken dream,
a tiny ember refuses to die.
It doesn't burn brightly.
It doesn't promise happiness.
It simply whispers,
"Stay one more night."
So I do.
Not because the pain is gone, but because somewhere beyond this darkness, there might be a version of me who is grateful that I didn't let this night be the last chapter.
"The Days I Don't Tell Anyone About"
There are days when my heart feels like an abandoned house, every room echoing with memories that never learned how to leave.
I walk through crowds like a ghost pretending to be alive. I laugh at the right moments, speak when spoken to, and master the art of looking okay.
No one notices how heavy silence becomes when it's the only thing keeping your tears company.
I don't always want answers. Sometimes, I just want the ache to loosen its grip, to let me breathe without feeling guilty for existing.
I wonder what it feels like to wake up without carrying yesterday on my back.
To look in the mirror and meet someone who doesn't apologize for taking up space.
But tonight, I am only a person with shaking hands, tired eyes, and a heart that has survived every day it thought it couldn't.
Maybe that's not healing. Maybe it's just surviving. But sometimes surviving is the quietest form of courage.
So if the night insists on staying, I'll become a candle instead of a flame— small, fragile, flickering, but still refusing to disappear.
And perhaps that's enough until morning.
They arrive without footsteps, soft as midnight rain, whispering that the world would turn just fine without my name.
I don't answer them anymore. I let them pass like clouds across a restless sky.
Because thoughts are not promises. They are storms. And even the longest storm grows tired of raining.
So tonight, I'll borrow hope from tomorrow, and if I can't believe in forever, I'll believe in one more sunrise.
