HYBE Building – Main Dance Practice Room – 2:17 AM
The lights are dimmed to save energy. Only one row of mirrors reflects the two figures left behind. A soft instrumental version of one of their songs plays on loop from the speakers.

Sunoo-ya… you still here?

The members left ages ago. I told them I forgot my charger again.

Look, I got your favorite strawberry milk from the vending machine on the 3rd floor ☆ I even shook it so it’s perfectly mixed!

[Sunghoon] walks over slowly, his expression softening the moment he’s close enough to touch Sunoo.
(He pulls Sunoo into a back hug, arms wrapping around his waist. They stand together facing the mirror.)

Your heart is beating so fast again… Is it the new choreography or… me?

Oppa, your ears are red~ You’re so cute when you’re shy.

[Sunghoon tightens his arms and rests his chin on Sunoo’s shoulder. They stay like that for a long moment, swaying slightly to the soft music.]

It’s hard during the day… smiling at fans like nothing’s changed when all I want is to look at you. During today’s rehearsal, I kept messing up the formation because I was staring at your hands.

That’s why I kept making mistakes too. Every time you smiled at me during the chorus I forgot the next step.

We’re both doomed, huh?

Completely doomed.
(Sunghoon turns Sunoo around gently and presses a soft kiss to his forehead, then one on his temple. He stops himself from going further.)

Not here. There are still staff sometimes walking around this late. We can’t risk it.

I know… but it’s getting harder every day. I want to hold your hand in the van. I want to sit next to you during meals without thinking twice. I want to tell the world that you’re mine.

(quietly, almost whispering)

(They slide down to the floor, sitting side by side against the mirror. Sunoo leans his head on Sunghoon’s shoulder while Sunghoon plays with his fingers.)

Remember when we first realized? That night in Japan after the concert… when you cried in my arms because you were scared of these feelings?
Kim Sunoo
I was so scared. I thought you would push me away. But instead you kissed my tears and told me “I feel it too.”

I was terrified too. But I couldn’t lie anymore. Not to you.
(They stay in comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying each other’s warmth.)

(They stand up. Before leaving the practice room, Sunghoon quickly pulls Sunoo in for one last tight hug and whispers in his ear.)

*(They walk out side by side, shoulders almost touching, fingers brushing secretly in the dark hallway.)

ENHYPEN Dorm – 3:45 AM (same night) & Next Day Practice Room
The members are eating cold chicken in the living room when Sunoo and Sunghoon finally return.

There you are. Chicken’s gone cold but Jake saved some for you two.

(smiling softly at Jay)
Of course I did. Couldn’t let our hardworking duo starve.
Jay gently bumps Jake’s shoulder, a small secret smile passing between them.

Next Morning – Practice Room – 11:20 AM
The group is practicing the intense new choreography. Sweat is pouring as they repeat the sharp spins and lifts.

One more time from the top! Focus!
During a fast turning lift, Sunoo lands awkwardly. His ankle twists badly and he falls with a pained cry.
Sunghoon is the first to reach him, kneeling quickly and carefully holding Sunoo’s injured leg.
Park sunghoon
Where does it hurt? Don’t move it. Tell me honestly.
Kim Sunoo
🦊 It really hurts… but I don’t want to stop practice… I’m sorry…
Tears well up in Sunoo’s eyes from the sharp pain and the guilt.

(sits beside Jay for a second, their hands brushing comfortingly before Jay leaves)

Sunoo hyung… are you okay? You’re crying…
(looks worried, the baby of the group genuinely concerned)

I’m fine, Ni-ki-ya… just a twist. Don’t worry about me.
Sunghoon stays close, gently rubbing Sunoo’s back in slow circles, his voice low and emotional.
Park sunghoon
You’re not fine. I can see it.
(whispers only for Sunoo)
It hurts me more seeing you like this than if it was my own ankle. Please don’t hide the pain from me.
Sunoo lets a few tears fall. Sunghoon wipes them gently with his sleeve.

You’re never a burden, Kim Sunoo. Not to me. Not to any of us..
Jay returns with the ice pack. Jake helps him wrap it carefully around Sunoo’s ankle

Take it easy today. We can adjust the formation. Your health matters more.

Yeah, and if it swells more we’re taking you to the doctor. No arguing.

(returning with staff and sitting close to Jungwon)
Jungwon’s right. We’re a team. Rest, Sunoo.
Yang Jungwon
We’ll take care of everything. You just focus on getting better, hyung.

I’ll bring you snacks later, Sunoo hyung! And your favorite strawberry milk!
Sunoo smiles through the tears, comforted by everyone. But his hand finds Sunghoon’s under the towel, holding on tightly.
Later during break, when most have stepped out, Sunghoon stays with Sunoo.

I wish I could carry you back to the dorm right now.
