Whisper In Paris
Chapter 1: Bump of Fate
- Lada Viraj: Independent, reserved doctor; traveling alone to rest and reset.
- Dr. Saree Viraj (Lada’s Mother): Strict, disciplined, values duty and reputation; raised Lada with high expectations, rarely shows softness.
- Earn Praphas: Bright, carefree fashion model; on a family-arranged vacation.
- Madam Rosalind Praphas (Earn’s Mother): Kind, gentle, and outwardly sweet toward Earn, but firm and controlling behind the scenes; she believes stability and status equal happiness and has already planned a suitable marriage for Earn back home.
- Anawat Virakit: Earn’s fiancé; 32 years old, successful real estate and hospitality businessman, well-respected in high society. Polite, calm, and genuinely caring toward Earn, though unaware of her past love and true feelings. He sees their engagement as a mutually beneficial and stable arrangement.

Setting: Paris, late afternoon – cobblestone street near the Seine
(Lada walks alone, quiet and reserved, on a solo vacation to escape her mother’s strict rules and busy hospital shifts. Earn wanders the same street, bright and carefree, on a trip arranged by her loving but protective mom.)
Lada
(muttering) Finally… some peace away from work and Mother’s lectures.
Earn
(looking at a map, not watching ahead) Hmm, where’s that café Mom mentioned?
(They turn the same corner and collide gently. Earn stumbles, Lada catches her quickly.)
Earn
Oh! I’m so sorry! I wasn’t looking!
Lada
(heart skipping a beat, staring at her) It’s… it’s alright. I wasn’t paying attention either.
(Lada feels it instantly—this bright, warm girl has caught her eyes completely. Love at first sight.)
Earn
I’m Earn, by the way. Really, my bad for bumping into you.
Lada
(softly) Lada. No harm done. Nice to meet you, Earn.
(They exchange a quick smile, then go their separate ways—neither expecting to cross paths again so soon.)
Later that evening – Riverside bistro, warm lights
(Lada sits at a table, still thinking of the girl she bumped into. Then she sees Earn walk in.)
Lada
(whispering) It’s her…
Earn
(spotting Lada, surprised) Oh! You’re the one from earlier! What a coincidence!
Lada
(smiling, inviting her) Please, join me? I’d… really like that.
(They sit, start talking. Lada learns Earn is a model here on vacation with her mom’s arrangement; Earn hears Lada is a doctor traveling alone. Both share a little about their families—Lada’s mother is strict and demanding, while Earn’s is gentle, caring, and only wants her daughter happy.)
Lada
My mother expects nothing less than perfection in everything I do.
Earn
Mine is the opposite—she’s always sweet, looks after every little thing for me.
Lada
(to herself) And now… I don’t want this evening to end.
Chapter 2: Dinner Invitation
Riverside bistro, evening — soft string lights, gentle river breeze
(Conversation flows easily. Lada finds herself leaning in, captivated by Earn’s laughter. Earn feels unusually relaxed, as if she’s known Lada far longer.)
Lada
I’ve only been here three days, and I haven’t found a place that feels quite right… until now.
Earn
Me too! Mom booked all the hotels and tours, but this is the first spot that feels warm and real.
(Lada hesitates briefly, then gathers her courage — her heart already set from their first meeting.)
Lada
Earn… would you do me the honor of having dinner with me tomorrow night? There’s a quiet restaurant along the Seine I’ve been wanting to try.
Earn
(eyes lighting up) Really? I’d love that! It sounds lovely.
Lada
(smiling softly) Great. I’ll pick you up at seven. It’ll be my treat.
Earn
Thank you, Lada! This trip just got so much better.
(As they part ways, Lada watches her go, a rare, hopeful smile on her face. Back at her hotel, she gets a call from her mother.)
Mother of Lada: Dr. Saree Viraj
(on phone, sharp tone): Lada, have you finished reviewing those medical journals I sent? Don’t think vacation means you can slack off.
Lada
(calm but firm) I will, Mother. I’m resting as you advised.
Mother of Lada: Dr. Saree Viraj
Good. And remember — focus on your career. Distractions have no place in your future.
(Lada hangs up, her mind already drifting back to Earn, ignoring the warning.)
Chapter 3: Under Parisian Lights
Setting: Riverside bistro by the Seine, sunset turning into night — candlelight, string lights, water glinting gold
(Lada waits by the table, adjusting her suit. The moment Earn walks over in her soft blue dress, Lada’s breath catches again — love still fresh, growing stronger.)
Lada
You look… beautiful. More than I imagined.
Earn
(blushing, smiling) Thank you. You look very handsome yourself.
(They sit, candles between them. Conversation flows easy — travel, work, dreams.)
Lada
I became a doctor because my mother insisted. She says duty and reputation come first. I’ve never really chosen for myself.
Earn
Mine is so different. She’s always sweet, takes care of everything… but sometimes I wonder if she plans every part of my life too.
Lada
(leaning in, voice soft) Then let tonight be your choice. No plans, no rules — just us.
(Earn’s smile softens. Their hands brush lightly on the table; neither pulls away. Outside, the Eiffel Tower begins to sparkle, and Lada feels sure — this is no longer just a crush.)
Lada
Earn… I’m glad we bumped into each other. I don’t want this to end.
Earn
Me neither. Paris feels different now — brighter, warmer. Because of you.
