CAN I TAKE A BITE OF YOU??
EP-1
The rain showed no signs of stopping.
I parked my scooter in front of the enormous mansion and looked at my phone.
I was a college student, but I also worked as a part-time food delivery girl. Life hadn't exactly been kind to me.
My parents died in a car accident when I was five.
Since then, I had been living with my relatives.
Or, to be more accurate, my abusive relatives.
Every day felt like walking on eggshells. Every mistake was another reason for them to remind me that I was a burden.
That's why I worked so hard. I attended college during the day, delivered food at night, and saved every rupee I earned.
As soon as I made enough money, I would leave this country and never look back.
I sighed and adjusted the delivery bag on my shoulder.
The mansion standing before me looked straight out of a horror movie.
It was huge, surrounded by iron gates and tall trees that swayed violently in the storm.
Maya sharma/FL
"Who even lived here?"
I walked to the front door and pressed the doorbell.
Rainwater dripped from my hair onto my face.
I pressed it again. Still nothing.
Maya sharma/FL
"What the hell is wrong with this customer?"
Maya sharma/FL
"Don't tell me they're dead."
The rain grew heavier. I was completely drenched now.
Maya sharma/FL
"Can't they see it's raining this badly? I still have to go home."
I reached for my phone to call the customer, but before I could, my eyes landed on the front door.
It was slightly open. Unlocked.
A chill ran down my spine.
Maya sharma/FL
"Okay, that's definitely not creepy at all."
I pushed the door open. The mansion was dark. Completely silent. No lights. No footsteps. Nothing.
Only the sound of the rain outside.
I called out. No response.
I stepped inside cautiously, my wet shoes echoing against the marble floor.
Maya sharma/FL
"Food delivery!"
The air inside felt strangely cold.
For some reason, it felt as if someone was watching me.
I tightened my grip on the food bag.
Maya sharma/FL
"Listen, if you're a serial killer, I should tell you I'm very disappointing as a victim."
Maya sharma/FL
"Where the hell is this customer?"
I looked around the mansion nervously.
The entire place was decorated in red and black. Dark wallpaper covered the walls, and ancient paintings hung everywhere. Even though the house was spotless, it felt... old.
Not the kind of old that needed renovation.
The kind of old that looked like a king had lived here centuries ago.
A shiver ran down my spine.
Who even decorated their house like this?
I sighed and looked at my phone.
Customer: Lucian blackwood.
Maya sharma/FL
*muttered* "Lucian?"
Some foreigner with terrible taste in interior design. God knows what's wrong with this person.
Taking a deep breath, I shouted,
Maya sharma/FL
"SIR LUCIAN! YOUR ORDER!"
My voice echoed through the entire mansion.
A vase fell somewhere nearby.
I nearly screamed, My heart jumped into my throat.
A tall figure stood among the shadows. He had to be at least six foot four. The darkness hid his face, making him look even more terrifying.
Oh my God. Don't tell me he's actually a serial killer. Shit.
Maya sharma/FL
"Are... are you Lucian?"
Maya sharma/FL
"Here's your order."
The figure didn't move. Then a deep voice echoed through the mansion.
???
"I haven't ordered this."
Maya sharma/FL
*eyes widened* "What?"
???
"I don't want this food."
Maya sharma/FL
"Well, somebody did. And I drove twenty minutes through a storm for this."
I took a deep breath. Nope. I was not getting murdered tonight.
Maya sharma/FL
"Listen, Enough of your Halloween act. This is India. We don't celebrate Halloween."
Maya sharma/FL
"I'm leaving your takeout here, and I'm going home."
I turned around and froze. My entire body went cold. He was standing right behind me.
One second he had been across the room. The next- He was right there.
My breath hitched as his voice whispered against my ear.
???
"I said I don't want this food."
My hands trembled slightly.
Maya sharma/FL
"O-Okay..."
Unfortunately, my legs had resigned from their job.
Maya sharma/FL
"T-Then what do you want?"
I somehow managed to ask.
For a moment, the mansion became completely silent.
Maya sharma/FL
*eyes widened* "what??"
Excuse me? Was this man flirting with me? I swallowed.
Maya sharma/FL
"At least turn the lights on.."
Maya sharma/FL
"This looks like a horror movie where the ghost drags the heroine into darkness instead of some romantic scene."
I forced a nervous smile.
Maya sharma/FL
"See, Mr. Lucian Blackwood-"
Lucian Draven/ML
"I'm Lucian Draven."
I blinked. My brain stopped functioning.
My eyes slowly dropped to my phone.
Customer: Lucian Blackwood.
I slowly looked back at the terrifying man standing in front of me. Wrong house.
I had entered the wrong house. Oh my God. You absolute fool, Maya.
You broke into a stranger's mansion during a thunderstorm.
And apparently, the stranger was either: A serial killer. A ghost. Or a very handsome psychopath.
Maya sharma/FL
"Ha... haha..."
Maya sharma/FL
"Well, my bad. I'm actually looking for Lucian Blackwood."
The man suddenly appeared inches away from me again. How was he doing that His cold voice brushed against my ear.
Lucian Draven/ML
"I don't like it when you take another man's name in your mouth."
Even ghosts were possessive these days?
Was this man a Wattpad dark romance writer before he died?

EP-2
Lucian Draven/ML
"Can I take a bite of you?"
Maya sharma/FL
"YOU, CREEP!"
I screamed and stumbled backward.
Every survival instinct inside me activated at once.
I turned around and nearly slipped on the marble floor, but before I could reach the door, a cold voice echoed behind me.
The thunder outside illuminated the room for a split second.
I still couldn't see his face clearly.
Which was somehow even more terrifying.
Maya sharma/FL
"Leave me alone!"
Lucian Draven/ML
"Not until you answer me."
My brain was malfunctioning.
Maya sharma/FL
"What kind of question is that?!"
He tilted his head slightly.
Lucian Draven/ML
"I'm asking for your permission."
I stared at the darkness.
Maya sharma/FL
"Permission to WHAT?!"
Lucian Draven/ML
"To take a bite."
Maya sharma/FL
"THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT BETTER!"
I spun around and bolted for the door.
Before I knew it, someone caught me from behind.
A strong hand gripped my arm, stopping me in my tracks.
Lucian Draven/ML
"I won't let you leave until I get what I want."
A calm voice spoke behind me.
Lucian Draven/ML
"I won't let you leave until I get what I want."
Lucian Draven/ML
"I'm asking you politely."
Lucian Draven/ML
"Can I take a bite of you?"
Was this man mentally ill?
This was his definition of being polite?
"May I politely murder you?"
"Would you kindly lie down in this coffin?"
"Please don't scream while I bury you."
No.. Absolutely not. Come on, Maya. Use your brain.
I slowly turned around, forcing the most awkward smile in human history.
Maya sharma/FL
"I'll let you... bite me..."
Maya sharma/FL
"...Only if you show me your face first."
Maya sharma/FL
"What if you're some serial killer trying to trick me?"
Maya sharma/FL
"I need proof that you're at least a decent-looking psychopath."
A low chuckle escaped him.
Lucian Draven/ML
"I'll show you my face."
Lucian Draven/ML
"Then you'll let me take a bite?"
Maya sharma/FL
"Uh... yeah."
I pointed toward the wall.
Maya sharma/FL
"First, turn on the lights."
Instead of answering, he released me.
A bolt of lightning tore across the sky.
The entire mansion lit up.
A pair of crimson-red eyes stared straight at me.
No... Not teeth. Fangs???
Every horror movie I'd ever watched suddenly made perfect sense.
I screamed at the top of my lungs, dropped the delivery bag, and sprinted out of the mansion.
I didn't care about the rain.
I didn't care about the thunderstorm.
I didn't even care that I had left my scooter behind.
Behind her, Lucian watched the tiny human disappear into the rain.
His expression remained unreadable.
One of his vampire guards stepped out of the shadows.
Briar (guard)
"My King..."
Lucian's gaze remained fixed on the open front gate.
Lucian Draven/ML
"...She runs surprisingly fast."
Briar (guard)
*blinked* "Should I bring her back?"
Lucian Draven/ML
"She'll come back."
Briar (guard)
"How can you be so certain?"
His crimson eyes remained fixed on the open gate, a possessive glint flashing through them.
Lucian Draven/ML
*smirked* "I know my little cupcake will come back to where she belongs."
Lucian Draven/ML
"And I'll make sure of it."
