Haruto leaned against the wall behind the school, a folded love letter in his hand.

“So… where is she?” He muttered. “The girls that I’ve dated were always first, but this one must be interesting.”

Itsuki behind the wall peeked around the corner. “I told you it’s a prank, she’s not coming.”

Toshiki sighed. “Would you relax?”

Footsteps echoed behind the school.

Haruto, Itsuki, and Toshiki turned toward the footsteps.

A figure walked around the corner.

Toshiki, and, Itsuki quickly hid behind the wall.

It was a boy. He had messy black hair, his bangs fell over his eyes, his hands shoved into the pockets of his school uniform.

Toshiki and Itsuki peeked around the corner.

“Oh.” Toshiki blinked. “Not a girl but… A boy?”

Itsuki whispers. “No way the schools biggest delquintcant will ever be able to seduce the most popular at guy at school.”

Haruto eye widened, shocked.

The boy stopped a few steps away from them and titled his head slightly.

“Hello.” His voice was calm, but stern. “Im Akito Sakamoto, from section D, and Im the one who wrote the letter.”

Haruto stared at him, unable to believe what he had just heard. “I swear I thought a girl wrote this to me it looks like a girls handwriting. Are you lying? D-do you really like me?”

Akito with a confused face. “I- it’s not like that! Im just teasing you. Plus you have no chance im straight!”

Haruto snapped. “Stop lying, it’s not you!”

“Fine then let’s compare pull out the letter, hurry up!”

Harutos face gloomy. “Are you serious!”

“See it’s the same, I told you it was me.”

Haruto quickly snatches the letter away. “This can’t be happening!”

“Think what you want im just messing with you… I also hate your fucking face too.”

“You’re just jealous, nothing is wrong with my face!”

“Let’s fight then.” Akito replies.

Toshiki whispers to Itsuki. “I wonder how you two began being freinds.”

Itsuki laughs then says. “This is Hillarious, this is worser than a prank.”

Haruto thinks to himself, embarrassed.

Something is not right did he just want to mess with me, or theres something else? I need to find it!

Akito then breaks the silence. “I’ll take my leave now… Goodbye.”

Haruto then yells. “W-wait you can’t just leave like this?”

Akito replies coldly “what!”

Haruto then says. “You started this stupid thing atleast take responsibility for it.”

Haruto slowly shows Akito the letter. “Date me or else I’ll show everyone this love letter at school.”

“WHAT!”

“And since you say your straight… I must try hard to make you fall in love with me right?”

“So yes or no?…. Choose wisely…”

“… Give me a minute.”

He thought to himself, mumbling words under his breath.

If I refuse… Izumi will find out.

If I accept… I’ll have to date the person I hate… And which is currently… My rival.

He closed his eyes.

Slightly opened his eyes. Stared at haruto with a stern look.

“I got my answer.”

“Mhm?”

“… Fine.”

3 hours earlier…

Akito leaned back in his chair, lazily spinning a pencil between his fingers.

The classroom buzzed with chatter until someone suddenly stopped behind his desk.

“Akito…”

He slightly looks up

Izumi stood there, clutching a pink envelope against her chest.

“Can you help me with something?”

Akito raised an eyebrow.

“Depends on what it is.”

Izumi hesitated before holding out the envelope.

“I… Wrote a love letter.”

Akito’s expression froze.

“… A love letter?”

She nodded shyly.

“It’s for Haruto.”

For a brief moment, Akito felt his chest tighten.

“… Haruto?”

Izumi looked down.

Akito sighed “So what do you need help on?”

“I don’t think my letters good enough.”

She smiled awkwardly.

“You’re better at writing words than I am…”

“Could you please rewrite it for me.”

Akito immediately shook his head.

“No.”

Izumi puffed out her cheeks.

“Please?”

“No.”

She gave him the biggest puppy-dog eyes she could manage.

“… Please?”

Akito looked at the folded paper in silence. He knew exactly why she had to come to him. His handwritingiting was neater, and he was better at writing the words himself. The problem wasn’t writing the letter…

The problem was… Who it was for.

He let out a loud sigh.

“… You’re impossible.”

Izumi chuckled a bit, and smiled.

“She gave him the letter.” And sat beside him with sparkling eyes.

Akito quietly rewrote everything she wanted to say, in his most neatest handwriting ever.

She watched him write, with those same sparkling eyes.

When he finished…

Akito carefully folded the letter.

While looking at Izumi. “Your really serious about him arent you?”

“Yes I’m so sure.” Izumi chuckled slightly.

Akito chest tightens.

He gives Izumi the love letter.

She carefully looks at it.

Then smiles brightly.

“It’s perfect! Thank you so much Akito.”

Akito looked away, slightly flustered. “Yeah yeah, just don’t embarrass yourself

She smiled.

“I won’t.”

During lunch break…

Izumi nervously slipped the letter into Haruto’s locker.

She smiled to herself.

“… I really hope he reads it.”

Just as school ended…

A teacher hurried over.

“Izumi.”

She turned around.

“… Yes teacher?”

“The principle need your help.”

Her smile disappeared.

“… Right now?”

“Yes.”

She glanced at the clock.

“… But…”

Then she looked at Akito.

“… Can you do me one favor?”

Akito already looked annoyed.

“What?”

“If Haruto is waiting at the back of our school…”

“… Can you go there and tell him to meet me somewhere else?”

Akito sighed.

“… That’s it?”

She nodded.

“Please? This is my only chance… While he’s still single.”

After a long silence...

“… Fine.”

She smiled.

“Thank you!”

Then she hurried away.

After school day ends…

Akito stuffed his hands into his pockets.

“… What a pain.”

He started walking toward the back of the school…

As Akito walked toward the meeting place, he couldn’t help but wonder what kind of person Haruto really was.

“hopefully this won’t take long,” he mumbled.

He took one last deep breath before continuing to the meeting place.
