That maple tree in the middle of the school ground, is my favorite place... I often stay there, sit under that tree, no one sits beside me nor eat with me... I don't have any friends since elementary... I never talked to anyone... No one talked to me...

I was a loner up until Highschool, the will begin and will end but nothing changes... I still had no one to talk to... I will sit at the most back, and will stay quiet, and during break I will go and sit under that huge maple tree... I don't know why but I feel relaxed when I am sitting there... Months have passed but I never had someone to accompany me.. Until that guy came... He's a clueless transferee I'd say... Since the first day of school no one approached me... Even I am the class pres. But he... He approached me... He sat beside me, unlike everybody... Everybody'll avoid me, once I walk they'd stop talking... They won't sit beside me... That's why the two sits beside me are empty, even the seat in front of me... But I wonder why he would sat beside me in all places? There's so many vacant seats but he chose to sat beside me... "Hi, I'm Jules" I would not reply to those words... But he kept talking... He was noisy but his voice was like a melody to my ears as the time passes... He never shouts... His voice was soft... Until... I talked to him... "Why are you talking to me? Don't you know me?" I asked...

"Why? Are you a celebrity? Or an holy thing that I must not talk to you?" He said

"N-no, but..." I replied

"Ah... The rumors about you? That's not a problem I get rid of them..." And then smile...

He's the first person who talked to me at school... He never treated me the way others does... He protects me... He's the first friend I ever made... And he is also my first love

We will sit under that maple tree and he'll play his guitar, and I will sing... It's so fun to be with him...

He never cared of what will other say about me...

Other students will say... "He's crazy making friends with a devil..."

"He's insane... I wonder why would he make friends with the daughter of an skilled killer..."

Yes, that's right my father was an skilled killer...

He did killed many people by his bare hands... But he didn't do it by his own will... He was trying to protect me... He was controlled by those crazy people... And if he didn't obey them... They would kill me... He was scared of that... But no one knows that...

Jules never questioned me of why's my father a killer... Or am I a killer too... He never judged me...

We've been friends for 5 years... And we spent almost our times under that tree singing a song...

But when we're about to reach 3rd year college he got hospitalized and passed away...

I didn't know that he had a cancer and his life will end in 4 years but miraculously he lived for 5 years...

I blame my self for being clueless... I Didn't noticed that the red stains in his shirt was blood... Now, I realized why he had said those words "I'll be your friend until the day I die... Maybe our friendship will take years"

And now he's gone...

Years have passed but I still remember the day that he was rushed to the hospital... He told me not to worry...

That night I waited for the results... I stayed up night thinking about it... But his mother told me to take a rest... But the next day... I waked up late... Before I reached the hospital he passed away... I cried and Cried... How stupid I am! And I heard from his mother that Jules kept asking what time will I come... And he wrote a letter....

I cried because I was so stupid... But his mother thanked me for being at his son's side all the time... And for being his friend... And that his son was encouraged to live longer... He takes care of his self... And wakes up early so that he could see me...and that He wanted to go to school to meet me again...

I regret that I haven't told him how much I love him I was too late...

I skipped school... And cried all night long...

The next day I came to school... And I sat under that maple tree I read his letter...

-Hoy panget, are you crying? Please don't! I don't want to see you crying... You're so ugly if you do! Haha... Thanks for being with me... And sorry for not letting you know about my condition...-

I felt the summer breeze, and the leaves of the maple tree started falling and I felt his arms embracing me... I opened his notes... And saw my name in it... In his locker... There were stolen pictures of me... And all of my handwritings were there... And a letter fell... I read it...

"So, you finally opened my locker eh? SO YOU LIKE TOUCHING THINGS THAT YOU DON'T OWN?-" I laughed at that part... As if he knew that I will open his locker...

"-... Well... If you are reading this right now... That means... I already passed away... Sorry for leaving you... I don't want to die...but it's my destiny... It's so sad... I still wanna live... With you... Yiee... Haha.... Joan... Sorry if I didn't tell you about this... But please forget me... Find a guy who will love you and will never leave you... I love you... I really do love you but I didn't confess because I know that this day will come and I will have to leave... If only I don't have a cancer... I would surely date you... Remember the first day you talked to me? That's the time I feel in love with you... I tried to stop this feelings... But it kept growing and growing... When you hugged me out of the blue when I gave you those Birthday gift... I really want to hug you back and never let you go... I wished that that day would never come... The day I'll pass away... But I need to let you go... Cause I don't want you to be hurt... So please forget about me and live happily... I love you"

And suddenly a tear fell down from my eyes... I love you too...

Many years have passed but he's still a part of my heart... Up until now I still love him...

I'm a teacher now, and I still visit my favourite place... The tree of our memories... I still feel him sitting right beside me... Under that maple tree
