He finally returned home, to his grandmother.

It's just Ivan.
His grandma comes around the corner, her hand to her chest, imitating a strong southern accent.

I was beginning to worry you would die an old man....

A gentleman caller at last.
He goes to the living room where his childhood friend, Ivan waits, holding a bouquet of flowers.

You brought flowers?
Ivan
Am I not allowed to bring you flowers?
He said with a slight blush.
Lucas (MC)
You've never done it before.
Ivan
Well... Maybe I should bring you flowers more often.

He open his mouth as if he's about to say something, but stop himself.

Ivan runs a hand through his hair laughing at himself.

Ivan nearly trip backwards down the stairs as he leaves.

Lucas wander into the kitchen where his grandmother sits, sipping a cup of coffee.

His grandmother paused, cup still raised to her lips and quirks an eyebrow at him.

My friends and I have a trip planned for the summer.

So I'll be gone for a whole month.

Lucas! Goodness, you made me worry something was wrong.

Have fun with your friends, dear.

I'm not so old yet that I need you watching over me every second at every day.

You were barely apart for two weeks.

Yeah, but it felt like forever.
Lucas pry off of his friend and the whole group move inside the house.

Oh my god! Look at this place.

Isn't it gorgeous? My family comes here every summer.

You must have so many great memories here.

I do! I learned to ride a bike on the front driveway.

And I actually had my first kiss on the beach out back.

Drew comes up behind Sera and wrap his arm around her.

Our first kiss was pretty magical...

Ugh. Don't even start.
Amidst all this they fail to notice Ivan's gloomy expression.
