He didn't really understand marriage or step siblings yet.. But the idea of having a brother. That was exciting

*sits by the window, staring outside*

*sighs, sits beside him anyway*

*without thinking, taeha runs forward and pushes Liam out of the way*
The bike swerves narrowly missing Liam. Taeha falls hard onto the pavement

*rips out his ear buds, eyes wide as he sees taeha on the ground bruised*

*looking up at liam, worried* are you okay brother..? Did it hit you..? Are you hurt?

*voice sharp, panicked* you idiot what were you thinking..?

*rushes to taeha helping him up carefully*

*smiles* you... You finally spoke..

*didn't answer immediately just stares at him, then carefully examines taeha's scrapes*

*helps taeha to stand up and made him sits on the stair nearby*

Liam walks to a nearby shop and returns with small bag

You came back so fast.. *smiling despite the pain*

*hands taeha a cup of ice cream from the bag*

*hugged the cup to his chest then tearing it open and eating happily*

*crouched down in front of him and opening the packet of bandage stripes*

*pressed the plasters over his small scrapes*

It doesn't even hurt anymore... *licking the spoon*

*glanced at him briefly then sits beside him*

Why are you doing this? I've ignored you for a year.. But why you didn't give up?

Because you're my brother..

You always walk fast put your headphones on and act like no one's around but I can see it.. You're lonely

I don't want to see you like that

So even if you push me away.. I'll be still here.. Because brothers shouldn't be alone..

*grinning and eating ice cream*

*felt something shift, smiles a little*

*shook his head, trying to suppress but the warmth in chest wouldn't go away*
From that day.. Something in Liam shifted.. It wasn't sudden or dramatic.. He didn't suddenly open his arms wide or start talking too much.. But there was a change
He no longer walked so fast, let his headphones hang loose around his neck and taeha caught him smiling faintly at his silly jokes too..
Episode 3
The house slept in perfect Silence
Taeha moved carefully down the hallway with two bags like everything that he owned that mattered fit into those bags
He reached the front door.. Paused for a moment then he turned the handle
But the same time.. The lights on

*flinched, heart slammed painfully against his ribs as he turned around

For a moment neither moved
