Testing My Impotent Boyfriend

chapter 1

I never thought I’d be the kind of girlfriend who had to test her boyfriend’s desire.

Liam Carter and I had been together for two years. He was everything I wanted on paper — handsome, successful, the 28-year-old VP at a major tech firm with a charming smile and kind heart. But lately, our relationship had become… cold.

It started six months ago. The kisses became quick pecks. The nights together turned into him rolling over with a tired “Not tonight, babe.” At first I thought it was work stress. Then I started wondering if it was me.

Tonight was supposed to be different. I cooked his favorite meal, wore the red dress he once said made me look irresistible, and lit candles in our apartment. When Liam walked through the door, looking exhausted in his tailored suit, I greeted him with a deep kiss.

He kissed me back… but pulled away too soon. “Smells amazing, Mia. Long day.”

We ate dinner, talking about surface things. After the plates were cleared, I tried again. I sat on his lap, running my fingers through his dark hair, pressing closer. “I miss you, Liam. I miss us.”

His hands rested on my waist, but there was no heat in his touch. No hunger. His body stayed tense. “Mia… I’m sorry. I’m just tired.”

Frustration and hurt bubbled up. I stood up, crossing my arms. “Tired? For six months? Liam, be honest with me. Are you… impotent? Is that what this is?”

The word hung heavy in the air. Liam’s face paled. He ran a hand over his face, looking defeated. “Mia… it’s complicated.”

“Complicated how?” My voice cracked. “I love you, but I can’t keep feeling unwanted. Tell me the truth.”

He looked at me with those warm brown eyes, full of guilt. “I want you. God, I do. But something’s wrong. I’ve been to doctors. They say it’s psychological. Stress. Past stuff I haven’t told you about.”

Tears stung my eyes. “Then let me help you. Let me test this. Let me fight for us.”

Liam stood up and pulled me into a hug. “I don’t deserve you, Mia. But if you’re willing… we can try.”

That night, as we lay in bed, I rested my head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. I was determined to test every limit, to bring back the passion we once had.

But deep down, I wondered if my “impotent” boyfriend was hiding something much bigger. Something that could either save us… or break us completely.

chapter 2

The next morning, I woke up before Liam. Sunlight filtered through the curtains as I watched him sleep, his face relaxed for once. Two years together, and I still found him incredibly handsome — dark hair tousled, strong jaw, the faint scar on his eyebrow from a childhood accident. But the distance between us in bed felt like a wall.

I made breakfast — eggs, toast, and fresh coffee — and waited. When Liam walked into the kitchen in his sweatpants, he gave me a small smile. “You didn’t have to do all this.”

“I want to,” I said, stepping close and wrapping my arms around his waist. “We’re going to try, remember? No more avoiding it.”

He hugged me back, but his body stayed tense. “Mia… I’m scared I’ll disappoint you again.”

“You won’t.” I rose on my tiptoes and kissed him softly, trying to pour all my love and hope into it. He kissed me back, his hands resting on my hips. For a moment, it felt like the old us — warm and connected. But when I pressed closer, he gently pulled away.

“Not now,” he murmured. “I have an important meeting this morning. Tonight?”

The rejection stung, but I nodded. “Tonight. And every night after, until we fix this.”

At work, I couldn’t focus. As a marketing coordinator, I spent the day staring at campaign ideas while my mind replayed Liam’s words. Psychological. Past stuff. What was he hiding? I decided to start small — testing his responses without pressure.

That evening, I prepared a relaxing night. Soft music, his favorite wine, and a back massage after dinner. Liam seemed more open as we talked about our days. When I started massaging his shoulders on the couch, he actually moaned softly in relief.

“That feels good,” he said, voice low. My hands moved down his back, and I felt him relax under my touch. Encouraged, I leaned in and kissed the side of his neck.

Liam turned, pulling me onto his lap. His hands roamed my back, and for the first time in months, I felt real heat in his touch. Our kiss deepened, passionate and full of longing. My heart raced with hope.

But when things started heating up, he suddenly tensed again and pulled back. “Mia… I’m sorry. It’s not you. I just… can’t.”

Frustration mixed with love made my eyes water. “Then tell me what happened in your past. The real reason. No more hiding, Liam. How can I help you if I don’t know what I’m fighting against?”

He looked torn, running a hand through his hair. “It’s my ex. Before you. She… cheated on me in a really cruel way. Made me feel like less of a man. I thought I was over it, but the stress at work brought everything back. Doctors say it’s all in my head.”

My heart ached for him. I cupped his face. “You are more than enough for me. We’ll take it slow. No pressure. Just us reconnecting.”

That night, we fell asleep holding each other. No big breakthroughs, but it felt like a small step forward.

The next day, while Liam was at work, I found an old box in the back of his closet while looking for something. Inside were photos of him with his ex — and a letter she wrote. The words made my stomach turn: cruel taunts about his “performance,” threats, and something about a secret he was keeping from everyone.

My hands shook as I put everything back. What else was Liam hiding? Was his “impotence” really just psychological… or was there something bigger he didn’t want me to discover?

I decided to keep digging. Loving him meant testing every boundary — even the ones he tried to hide.

chapter 3

The next few days felt like walking a tightrope. I loved Liam, but the secrets were starting to weigh on me. Every smile from him made my heart flutter with hope, but the old box in his closet haunted my thoughts. What exactly had his ex done? And what “secret” was she threatening to expose?

I decided to keep testing gently — no pressure, just closeness. On Wednesday evening, after work, I suggested we watch a movie on the couch. I curled up against his side in my favorite oversized shirt, my head on his chest. Liam wrapped an arm around me, his fingers absentmindedly tracing patterns on my shoulder.

Halfway through the film, I shifted and kissed him softly. He responded, his hand moving to my waist. The kiss grew warmer, and for a moment I felt that old spark. His breathing quickened, and his grip tightened. Hope surged through me.

“Mia…” he murmured against my lips, voice rough.

I pulled back slightly, looking into his warm brown eyes. “We don’t have to do anything you’re not ready for. I just want to be close to you.”

He nodded and kissed me again, slower this time. His hands explored my back, respectful but present. It wasn’t full passion yet, but it was progress. When we finally settled back to finish the movie, he held me tighter than he had in months.

“You’re too good to me,” he whispered later as we got ready for bed. “I’m trying, Mia. I really am.”

“I know,” I said, snuggling against him under the covers. “We’ll get there. Together.”

The next morning, while Liam was in the shower, curiosity got the better of me again. I quietly opened the box in the closet. The letter from his ex, Rachel, was even harsher than I remembered. She had mocked his “failures,” accused him of hiding something big about his family, and threatened to tell everyone if he left her.

My stomach twisted. Family secret? Liam had always said his parents were supportive but distant. Was there more?

I put everything back just as the shower turned off. When Liam came out, towel around his waist, looking handsome and vulnerable, guilt hit me hard. I hugged him tightly instead of asking questions.

That evening, we tried another test. I cooked a romantic dinner and suggested we dance in the living room after. Liam laughed but joined me, his arms around my waist as we swayed to soft music. The closeness felt natural. When he kissed me this time, there was real heat — his body responding more than there was real heat — his body responding more than it had in a long time.

“Mia, I want this,” he breathed, forehead against mine. “I want you.”

My heart soared. We moved to the bedroom, taking things slow. His touches were gentle and loving, even if full intimacy still felt out of reach. We fell asleep tangled together, closer than we’d been in months.

But the next day at work, I received a strange email from an unknown address. It contained a single photo: Liam with Rachel, looking intimate, dated just a few months before we met. Attached was a note:

He’s not who you think he is. Ask him about the real reason he can’t be with you. The impotence is just the beginning.

My hands shook as I deleted it. Liam had promised honesty, but these secrets kept piling up. Was his ex still involved? Or was there something darker he was hiding from me?

That night, I decided it was time for a real conversation. No more gentle testing. I needed the full truth if we were going to move forward.

As Liam walked through the door, I met him with a serious look. “We need to talk. About Rachel… and whatever you’re still hiding.”

His face paled. The wall was going up again.

And I was determined to break it down — no matter what I discovered.
