How are you all?
✧~Author~✧
This is a horror story... So I hope you'll like it.
✧~Author~✧
Let's start with the first chapter...
It was finally happening.
After eight long years of non-stop work, Bangtan was finally getting some real time off.
However, the circumstances weren't ideal.
The only reason they were gifted this vacation was because a worldwide pandemic shut down every single schedule they had planned.
It had been two months now since they held a concert, did an interview, filmed for Run BTS, or saw ARMY at all for that matter.
Needless to say the guys were getting restless, also depressed, and their manager had noticed.
Namjoon, Jin, Jimin, Yoongi, Taehyung, Jungkook, and Hobi all sat around a large square table inside one of the many offices at the new HYBE building.
It was a pretty empty room with nothing but black walls, a big gray table, and black chairs.
Manager Jung had called a surprise meeting.
Manager Jung
I noticed you all have been a little down lately with everything going on, so I called this meeting because I wanted to let you all know I put together a little surprise for you.
Manager Jung
I think it will be good for all of you, considering how the world has been lately.
Jungkook shot up from his chair in a burst of excitement.
~Jeon Jungkook~
Are we having a concert?!
This seemed to get the rest of the members excited and they all started making comments.
~Jung Hoseok~
Ahhh, I miss performing.
Hobi said as he sat forward.
~Park Jimin~
I miss ARMY so much.
Jimin said with a low voice and sullen eyes.
~Min Yoongi~
We're in the middle of a pandemic!
~Min Yoongi~
I don't see how we could magically have a concert right now.
Yoongi had always been the voice of reason, and everyone slumped back down when they realized he had a point.
~Min Yoongi~
💭 It was probably not a concert.
Taehyung and Jimin shot up out of their chairs in excitement.
~Kim Taehyung~
A vacation?!
~Kim Taehyung~
Like a real one? With hotels and pools and room service?
~Kim Taehyung~
But how...everything is shut down...
Taehyung felt a little sulky after saying that last part out loud.
Jin sounded annoyed, although he didn't mean to.
~Kim Seokjin~
Manager Jung, to be honest these last two months have felt like a vacation already.
~Kim Seokjin~
I would have been more excited to hear you had work for us.
~Kim Seokjin~
All we do now is well...nothing.
Manager Jung
I understand what you mean Jin, but I think this will be good for all seven of you, it will bring you some more mental clarity.
Manager Jung
And Taehyung, yes hotels are shut down, but I know a man who owns a house out in Bank Valley and he offered to let you guys stay there for two weeks for a decent price.
Manager Jung
I set this whole thing up about a week ago.
Manager Jung
I understand you guys have been bored at home already, but think of this as a new adventure in a new place.
Manager Jung was excited for them.

CHAPTER ~ 2
~Kim Namjoon~
Honestly it does sound like it'll be quite fun!
Namjoon was looking forward to something new these days.
Everything around him lately has been so depressing and repetitive.
Manager Jung
There is one little thing that I requested.
Manager Jung said a little hesitantly.
The seven members looked at their manager with a blank expression, none of them had any idea what he was going to say next.
Manager Jung
I know you all have smartphones that have constant internet access, and I know the only news on social media lately is depressing and offensive...
~Kim Namjoon~
💭 Where is he going with this?
Namjoon thought to himself, genuinely curious.
Manager Jung
I have decided that your smart phones are not going to go on your trip with you.
Manager Jung
I think being off the grid will help clear your heads.
Manager Jung
I got each of you these small flip phones that can be used for phone calls and texting, but that's it.
Manager Jung
I don't want you on social media while on your trip.
Manager Jung opened up a little brown bag and pulled out seven tiny red flip phones.
~Jeon Jungkook~
What?! No! How is this a vacation when I can't even have my own phone?! Ah!
Namjoon shot Jungkook a stinging glare, as If to say "Don't ever be disrespectful like that again to an elder."
Jungkook knew exactly what Namjoon's glare meant.
~Jeon Jungkook~
I'm sorry.
Jungkook frowned while slowly lowering his eyes to the floor.
He really was excited to go on a little adventure with his six hyungs, he was just a little bummed about the "off the grid" part of it.
The other six members thought it was a cool idea, actually.
They each took a phone from their manager and put each other's numbers in them.
Jimin turned to his manager.
~Park Jimin~
So when does this trip start?
Manager Jung
You head out tomorrow morning.
Manager Jung looked at them with a beaming smile.
~Kim Taehyung~
Tomorrow?! That's so soon...that's like...tomorrow?!
~Kim Taehyung~
I have so much to pack!
Taehyung was ecstatic for this trip.
Manager Jung
I should clarify that with no smartphones, that also means no laptops or computers either.
Manager Jung
Like I said, off the grid. It's good for your mental health. Think of it like some sort of two week long meditation exercise.
Manager Jung
Anyways, like Taehyung mentioned, you guys need to pack, so I will let you go now.
And with that, Manager Jung waved bye to the members as he exited the room giving a small wave.
Manager Jung
Have fun guys!
CHAPTER ~ 3
The trip to Bank Valley would take about two and a half hours.
It was in a part of Korea they had never visited before but they had heard about it on the news once, yet none of them could remember why.
The boys were throwing their luggage into the trunk of the large SUV they would all be riding in.
The seven of them decided to travel pretty light, they figured they could wash their clothes at the house they were staying at.
And aside from their tiny flip phones, they weren't allowed to bring their other electronics.
They were rushing to get their luggage in the car due to the fact that it had started raining outside, quickly turning into a monsoon.
Their manager had hired a driver to bring them to the house they'd be staying at, who would drop them off and return with the vehicle to the company.
HYBE couldn't afford to be out one of their vehicles for an entire two weeks.
Manager Jung figured they'd be okay without a car, they had phones and could call anytime if something happened.
He also figured they could call an Uber if need be, although he completely forgot that Uber was also on lock down and wasn't currently offering rides. Oops.
~Jung Hoseok~
How is it this cold in June?!
He was soaked from the rain and shivering while throwing the rest of his luggage into the back of the SUV.
The other members had already finished loading the car and were sitting in it, except Jin.
Jin noticed how much Hobi was shivering and ran over to him.
~Kim Seokjin~
Ah! Let hyung finish, you should just get in the car, you're freezing.
Jin said as he put his hands on Hobi's cheeks.
Jin loved being the oldest of the group, it gave him a sense of pride.
He was always extremely protective of the other members.
He was admittedly even extremely overprotective sometimes but he couldn't help it.
It was just some kind of internal instinct to protect the six younger members. After all, they were his little brothers.
He never really pulled the oldest hyung card on them or asked for a certain type of respect. That was pretty evident every single time Jungkook would tease him.
Ah, the maknae. He loved his maknae probably more than life itself. He practically raised him.
He had a soft spot for Jungkook, honestly they all did. Just something about him being the youngest made them all very protective towards that boy.
Hobi jumped into the vehicle as Jin threw the rest of the luggage into the trunk.
It was raining so hard at this point.
Jin slammed the trunk closed and hurriedly hopped into the back seat.
Finally, they were on the road.
~Park Jimin~
Two and a half hoursssss?
~Park Jimin~
Manager Jung couldn't have picked somewhere at least a little closer?
Jimin wouldn't have minded the long ride so much if it weren't for the fact he had no source of electronic entertainment.
~Kim Namjoon~
We've traveled further. I guess we will have to do this trip the old fashioned way.
