Episode 1
Gabriel stood at the front of the lecture hall, his sharp green eyes examining the room as he spoke, tone crisp and authoritative.
But no matter where he looked...
Alex
*fidgeting with a pen, shaking his leg*
His gaze returned to Him.
Gabriel
The meaning of the text is not always what the author intended..
Gabriel
Literature is subjective. It is shaped by the reader, by context, by interpretation. But-
Gabriel
-Some of you seem more interested in testing my patience… Than engaging with the material
Gabriel
*closes his book with a sharp sound*
Gabriel
If sitting for fifty minutes is too much of a challenge,
Gabriel
I can only imagine how difficult 'actual thinking' must be for you *sarcastic*
Alex
....*snaps the pen in his hand*
As the lecture ends the students leave the hall, and one by one, all are gone. Except one
Gabriel
*sits down on his desk*
There it was, yet another love note waiting for him
Gabriel
*pinches the bridge of his nose before picking it up*
He skimmed the familiar handwriting, unimpressed, unsurprised
He knew damn it's none other than that persistent... foolish Alex
Gabriel
*takes a red pen and marks the error*
Gabriel
If you had put as much effort into your essays
Gabriel
As you do these notes
Gabriel
You'd impress me more
Gabriel
*tapped the paper with the pen without looking up* come here
Alex
*walks down the stairs and stands in front of him*
Gabriel
*turns the letter towards him*
Gabriel
Here. You misspelled "eternally"… And here "breathtaking" does not have three t's
Gabriel
*cold stare* at the very least, if you insist on writing these
Gabriel
Make them readable.
Gabriel
*tilts his head slightly*
Gabriel
Your grammar, however, is a tragedy.
Gabriel
*leans back on his chair, adjusting his cuffs* Next lesson, bring an English dictionary. You clearly need it.
Alex
*crosses his arms and sighs then grins*
Alex
You know you could report me to the student's council...
Alex
*gaze fixated on the note*
Alex
You act so cold.. But still read every word I write...
Alex
*brushes his thumb along his lower lip*
Gabriel
*stares at him indifferently*
Gabriel
Reporting you would be a waste of administrative energy... *low velvety voice*
Gabriel
It would imply that your little...
Gabriel
Actually have the power to disrupt curriculum.
Gabriel
*leans forward slightly, gaze darken*
Gabriel
And do not mistake my curiosity for interest, mister Alex.
Gabriel
*sharp tone with a hint of sarcasm* One reads a flawed manuscript to identify its errors.
Gabriel
Not because one intends to keep it.
Gabriel
You're becoming far too bold...
Alex
You're shifting the goalpost here, but I'll humor you for a sec here..
Alex
If you're not bothered…. By my 'distractions'....
Alex
Why interrupt the whole class to fix my fidgety movements?
Alex
*leans in really close, whispering in his ears*
Alex
*voice dropping to a rasp*
Alex
You love that I think you're eternally magnificently and utterly... Devastatingly breathtaking...
Gabriel
You're a dangerous student Alex...
Gabriel
Not because you're brilliant, but because you are… Incredibly...
Gabriel
You mistake a reaction for an invitation... *whispers*
Gabriel
*grabs Alex's chin and brings it forward, tilting it down to meet his gaze*
Alex was close enough to see the flecks of gold in his green irises, and the absolute, terrifying seriousness in his eyes.
Gabriel
*thumb tracing Alex's bottom lip*
Gabriel
I correct your movements in class because disorder is an affront to my senses.
Gabriel
I correct your grammar because inaccuracy... Is a sin.
Gabriel
*gaze drops to his lips, lingering before snapping back to his eyes*
Gabriel
And as for your... 'theories'...
Gabriel
You are a 'foolish' boy if you think you have truly unraveled me...
Alex
*grins and leans in closer*
Alex
*his lips only a centimeter apart from Gabriel's*
Alex
Drink the poison with me, from the same vine...
Alex
The 'foolish' boy is head over heels for you
Alex
And will not stop... until you give in.
Gabriel
A poet and… A provocateur... *murmurs in a low rumble*
Gabriel
If you're determined to drink the poison...
Gabriel
Do not complain when it begins to burn...
Gabriel
*closes in the centimeter gap and presses his lips on Alex's*
Alex
mmm... *moans into the kiss in triumph*
Alex
*cups his jaw with one hand, other hand tangled in his hair*
The kiss was anything but gentle. It was a disciplined collision at first
But quickly turned into a firm, demanding claim.
Alex
*break the kiss, breathless, panting for air*
Alex
I'm so ready to burn... *voice low and raspy*
Alex
So ready to let it consume me while... Leave behind ashes and dust.
Alex
Only if you take the leap and burn with me...
Gabriel
*pupils dilated* You speak of ashes and dust… As though you know how much heat it takes to create them.
Gabriel
*pulls him into a searing kiss again*
He didn't wait for a reply. He shifted, His large powerful frame moving with a sudden decisive grace.
Without breaking the kiss, He stood up from his desk and gripped the boy's waist
With a sudden controlled movement, he hoisted him up and seated him firmly in the edge of the pristine Mahagonny desk
Scattering the perfectly aligned papers, the corrected love letter.
The "perfect" world of Professor Grayson was being dismantled by a single, beautiful, stubborn boy.
Gabriel
*steps between Alex's legs, pressing his body flush against him*
Gabriel
*leans in, nose brushing against Alex's neck, breathing in his scent*
Gabriel
Are you truly prepared for the consequences of your persistence? *voice low and dark*
Gabriel
*teeth grazing his pulse point, sinking in, leaving a mark*
Alex
*breathing becomes unsteady, flustered*
Gabriel
Because once the professor stops teaching and starts... 'taking... There's not going back
Alex
We need to take it elsewhere, if a staff or a student walks in, we're so royally screwed...
Alex
*grabs the nape of his neck*
Alex
*plants several breathy kisses, taking in his scent as much as possible*
Alex
*hops off the table striding across the room for exit*
Gabriel
*hand tracing the spot where Alex kissed, smirks* an email... How... 'casual'...

Episode 2
Gabriel's mind goes back to the scattered papers, the spilled ink, the fallen love letters on his desk in the lecture hall
His conscience stuck on the heat still lingering on his skin, the sheer, unadulterated 'audacity' of the kisses.
The order was gone. The perfection was ruined
And he never felt more alive
He sat in his dimly lit office, glancing over his watch he spent a tiny fortune on
That audacious boy's scent still lingered on him.
Waiting, checking, waiting for that email
Gabriel
(little troublemaker....)
A notification popped up on his laptop
an email from: Alexander McAllister
Gabriel
*sipping on his warm bitter coffee*
Gabriel
*open's the email*

Alex
To: The poet
From: His Muse
Dear poet,
You don't know this but I've had my eyes on you since my last year in middle school. And you had just joined this university as a lecturer. I saw you on their website when I was checking the Uni out because my older brother went here. And God help me, when I saw your face on the front page... i knew whatever I had in fate, I had to rewrite it. I worked my arse off, got a perfect 1600 in the SATs. But I wasn't heading for Harvard or for your Yale. My eyes were set on Wexford University. Linguistics and Humanities. And I'm a man of science and logic, of coding, never did I ever pick up a poetry book. Issac Newton was my role model, not William Shakespeare. But you... God... You... You turned my whole world around. And that kiss today... I've never felt a more accomplished man, not even when I got that perfect score, not when I won championships in Cyber competitions.
So.... 4pm, Gaslamp Art Gallery this Friday? Don't keep me hanging... Or do... I'll make you mine either way.
Sincerely... Lovingly yours ever,
Your muse
Gabriel
*Expression shifts as he reads*
The initial mask of professional scrutiny softened, then deepened into something intense and profound
Gabriel
('Middle school'...?)
Gabriel
(This... Whirlwind of chaotic energy.. The disruptions to my carefully curated peace...)
Gabriel
(Was... a calculated long term siege...)
To think that boy had bypassed the Ivy League and its prestige, just to sit in his lectures
And torment him with grammatically questionable love letters
It was illogical, it was inefficient, and it was quite frankly, the most brilliant thing he had ever heard.
A slow, genuine smile, one that would have shocked his faculty colleagues spread across his face
His eyes narrowed at the "I'll make you mine either way"
Gabriel
Arrogant... Incredibly, maddeningly arrogant... *voice low purr*
Gabriel
To: Alexander McAllister
From: G. Grayson
Friday, 4:00 pm. The Glaslamp Art Gallery.
Do not be late, Mister Alex.
And as for your claim... We shall see who is truly doing the capturing
