In a place where every grade is a weapon and every mistake is remembered, only one thing matters, being the best. Not just the best but someone who stands out among the rest.

It's Monday but it's not an ordinary day. It's another start of the week. The day most students hated the most, but not for me. It's the day where I would prove that I am better among anyone else in this institution.

I came from the country side of this province and I live in a condo here in the city just to enter in the most finest college of education school in the whole province.

I choose this school simply because aside that they give a quality education they also provide an intricate training ground for education majors for the future run. Aside from that, I got a scholarship that would cover my tuition which is very beneficial for someone like me. Someone who belongs to the middle class family.

I am here for one thing and one thing only. To graduate as the Summa Cum Laude among all of the education majors in this school. A very promising dream, but it's free anyway right? So why not try?

This school only offers one course and that is education. The school is composed with different sections an area for basic education student, highschool and the college building which I'm currently walking at.

"Alexand!" Friz called me in the hallway. "Have you studied for the upcoming quiz this 10 am?" She continued as she tails behind me panting.

"You're asking me that?" I said as I raised my brow at her. "Hehe right, of course you studied already" Friz added jokingly as we enter our classroom.

We are divided into different blocks based on majors. I who took Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics as my major along with the Science major are in the same block which is categorized as Block A.

Block B on the other hand is composed mainly with English Majors they are place in one block because they are a lot, and the last but not the least Block C which is mainly composed with pre service teachers who took up Elementary Education and Special Needs Education.

I like to believe that we are categorized based on intellectual capacity but then again our dean of the college stated that we are not. I'm a 3rd year student now. One more year and I will finally be done with college. I just hope that there would be no distractions along the way. What could possibly go wrong right?

"Ughhhh!! That was such a hectic quiz! I hope my score is okay" Friz frustratingly said while grabing some of her hair.

"Alright everybody rotate your papers and we'll check it" Prof Eve said as we rotate our papers to the other column.

"Before I would announce the top scorer of our quiz I would like to commend everyone for doing their best in the quiz, give your self a pat in the back." She said while holding our papers. Here's the thing, not to be boastful or something, but I'm sure the top scorer is gonna be me.

"29/30 we have Alexand Venice Allguere, well done miss Alexand followed by Friz 26/30 Dhea by-" she announce.

You see, I'm always gonna be top of my game no matter what.
