It's the year 20**, a lot has changed since the old times, once, all kinds of secondary genders started awakening.
Normal people without any pheromones or scent glands stayed the same, they're called the betas.
At the top of the chain sat alphas, superior beings with strong and dominant pheromones, 25% of population awakened as such, and many more are born as we speak.
At the very bottom, weak and strained, sit omegas, one would ask why? After all, they, no matter what gender, can give birth to a child, they are wanted, sold and used against their will.
They should be the ones ruling the world, because of their beauty and attractive pheromones, however people learnt to use that beauty.
They turned it against them and omegas started disappearing one by one.
Now, only 2% of the humans population are omegas, practical gone from the face of Earth.
Then another 2% belong to enigmas, the most superior secondary gender you'll find, they are mysterious, they don't reveal their genders easily and they rule the world.
