Like every other morning, the sun was rising beautifully, bathing the city in a golden glow. People were rushing to work, caught up in the usual morning hustle.
In the middle of the crowd, a young man was running for his life. If he didn't hurry, he was going to miss his metro.
His wavy blonde hair flew wildly across his face, but even in a panicked rush, he looked effortlessly breathtaking. He wore a simple black T-shirt paired with white pants, throwing a jacket over his shoulders to shield himself from the chilly morning air.
Darting through the closing doors, he managed to slip into the metro at the very last second.

(Slides down the metro seat, panting heavily)

(Wipes a stray lock of blonde hair from his forehead and sighs in deep relief)

(Thinking) Thank God... I actually made it. If I was even a second later, I'd be doomed.

(spots an empty seat nearby and quickly sits down, finally catching his breath)

(glances down at his watch and smiles slightly)

(Thinking) Perfect. I’ll actually be right on time today... as long as nothing goes wrong.
Narrator: Taehyung looked around the crowded metro car. It was filled with the usual morning crowd—older corporate workers gripping their briefcases, young professionals scrolling through their phones, and college students cramming for morning exams.
Turning his attention away from the crowd, he leaned his head against the glass window, watching the city blur past under the early morning sun. A sense of calm washed over him. He was genuinely looking forward to the day.
Narrator: Taehyung was an orphan. With no family to call his own, he had learned early on to rely entirely on himself. Yet, he wasn't bitter. He was a happy, gentle soul who genuinely enjoyed his own company.

(Thinking) People always pity me for being alone, but I like the quiet. Why wish for things to be different when life is already peaceful?
Narrator: Because he was quiet and kept to himself, his inner circle was almost non-existent. He didn't have close friends—just a few office colleagues he shared casual small talk with. But to Taehyung, his solitary life was perfectly complete.

It was Jimin, a boy from his office. He was one of the few people Taehyung talked to. Jimin was very good-looking. He also had blonde hair, just like Taehyung. He was wearing a pink shirt, black pants, and a navy blue jacket.

Good morning! What are you thinking about so seriously? 😉

Smiles)
Nothing. You scared me a little bit.
jimin
(smiles sillily at Taehyung)
I am sorry, Taehyung! I will try not to sneak up on you next time.

By the way, this is the first time we have ever met on the metro, right?

(smiles back)
Yes, it is the first time. We usually take different trains.
They talked for a few minutes. Suddenly, BZZZT! All the lights inside the metro completely turned off.
The train stopped moving. Everyone inside panicked and started shouting. It was total chaos.
After a few scary minutes, the lights suddenly came back on. Everyone sighed in big relief.
Taehyung
(Taehyung looks at Jimin, breathing heavily)

(smiles weakly, trying to calm down)
Thank God... I really thought something bad was happening.

(looks out the window and screams loudly)
What the fuck?! Where the hell are we?! 😱
Everyone quickly ran to the windows to look outside. Their jaws dropped.
The normal city view was gone. Instead, the metro was parked right in front of a creepy, completely abandoned school.

The metro stayed parked right in front of the gate of the creepy, abandoned school. Inside the train, everyone was panicking.
Taehyung was scared too, but he was mostly confused. What was going on?

(crying, gripping Taehyung's arm tightly)
Taehyung... what is happening? Where are we?! 😭

(holds Jimin's hands to try and calm him down)
Jimin, look at me. Stay calm, okay? Don't panic. We are together. We will figure this out.
Around them, the other passengers were in the same state. Some were deeply confused, while others were already screaming and crying.
SWOOSH! Suddenly, the metro doors slid open by themselves. Everyone flinched in fear.
Taehyung was standing very close to the door. He stood up straight to take a look, but Jimin quickly grabbed his hand.

(shaking his head, terrified)
Tae, no! Don't go near it!
Taehyung
(speaks in a very soft, calm voice)
Jimin, we have to look outside to understand where we are. I am only going to look, okay? I won't step out.
Taehyung gently walked toward the open door and looked outside. The area was completely empty. No people.
He stared at the old school building. It looked heavily burned, like a terrible fire accident had happened there a long time ago.
Seeing Taehyung look out safely, a few other passengers gathered behind him to look out too.
Suddenly, a black crow came flying straight toward the open door! Everyone shrieked and jumped back away from the door.
The crow flew right into the metro car. It landed and sat on the metal hand support rail that passengers hold onto while standing.
The crow tilted its head, staring intently at the passengers. It looked like a human who was studying them.

Passenger 1
(trying to act brave, raising his voice)
Listen up, everyone! Maybe the train just got lost or took a wrong turn. The rescue team will come for us soon. We should just stay inside and wait!
Many passengers nodded, agreeing with him. But suddenly, a very dry, raspy voice echoed through the train.
Raspy Voice
They will not come...
Everyone froze. They looked around at each other, trying to see who spoke, but everyone shook their heads. No human had opened their mouth.

Passenger 1
(angry and frightened, shouting)
Who said that?! Step forward! Why are you trying to scare everyone?!
Taehyung stood silently, observing the entire crowd. Next to him, Jimin pointed a shaking finger at the center of the train.
jimin
(voice trembling with fear)
It... it was the crow. I saw it. The crow spoke! 😰

Passenger 2
(scoffing, looking at Jimin with a judging face)
Are you serious? Are you so scared that you've started imagining things now? Crows don't talk!
Right at that moment, the creepy, scratchy voice spoke up again.
