"WAIT!! DONT PUSH—" that's it Ji-an's finger slipped, the grenade flew and then came a scream from his teammates, the screen flashed red. A deafening explosion echoed through the map before the words DEFEAT splashed across the center of his monitor.

(Silence.)

Ji-an blinked once...twice.....then with slow realisation with what he had just done, his hands slowly moved towards his face flushed with red cheeks due to embarrassment and covered it up to bury himself in it.

"I can explain.." Ji-an spoke.

The silence lasted half a second before his chat exploded

[LMAOOOO]

[HE BLEW UP HIS OWN TEAM AGAIN]

[SOMEONE SAVE HIM... GGS]

[Clip it! Clip it! Clip it!]

Ji-an let out a dramatic groan before dragging his hands down his face that was totally flushed red like tomatoes. Then adjusting himself over again...he said "It wasn't my fault! My fingers slipped!"

His teammates erupted in the voice chat,

"Your fingers always slip in the best situation!!"

"You threw the grenade at us AGAIN!! JI-AN!!"

"I was trying to defend you!!!"

"By what? Sending us back to the lobby?!!"

But just when he was about to defend himself, a familiar username appeared in the chat!

The entire chat froze for exactly one second. Then,

[HE IS HEREEEEE!!!!]

[The Hater logged in lessgoo!!!!]

[Now the stream can officially begin! Haha!]

Ji-an sighed and pointed at the monitor as if he could somehow see the anonymous viewer

"YOU—"

before he could say the whole sentence another chat popped up almost instantly.

[AlphaWolf99: Maybe try aiming the enemy next time.]

The whole chat gasped, Ji-an clutched his chest "...That's it"

he stood up from his chair quickly as it rolled backwards and pointed at his camera.

"YOU! DON'T YOU HAVE A LIFE??!! I AM BANNING YOU TODAY ONCE FOR ALL!!!"

His chat exploded with panic on the side

[NOOOOOOO!]

[YOU SAY THIS EVERY STREAM]

[DONT YOU DARE!]

He hovered his cursor over the ban button but then something in him stopped for a second. He hesitated and then silence filled in for a few seconds

"....."

"...."

"...nah"

He let out a deep sigh.

"I need him here so I have someone to blame when I lose.."

That's when another chat popped up

[AlphaWolf99: banning me won't fix your skill issue]

The chat exploded with mixed emotions some with laughter and some saying he was being way too mean to Ji-an. But Ji-an decided to ignore him this time..he pulled back his chair and sat down asking his teammates to begin with another match.

Meanwhile behind the screen somewhere with the username 'AlphaWolf99' someone couldn't help but smile.

The stream ended around late night around 12 Am with Ji-an waving a good bye to his viewers. The apartment fell silent the moment the stream ended.

No more notifications. No more laughter. No more voices echoing through his headset.

Ji-an slipped it off with a tired sigh and glanced around the small apartment that had been his home for the past four years.

It wasn't much, but it was enough.

After losing his parents in a car accident, it had become just him—no warm meals waiting on the table, no one reminding him to sleep earlier, no one to complain about his late-night gaming sessions.

He learned to live with the silence.

So instead, he filled it with laughter—his own, and the millions of people who tuned in to watch him every day.

With a small smile, he grabbed his phone.

"Now... what should I order for dinner?"

Just then his phone rang, it was his manager.

"Ji-an! You wouldn't believe what just happened"

"What happened?"

"You are invited as the most successful omega creator to the biggest gaming convention in the city!!"

Excitement filled Ji-an and he couldn't hold back from screaming anymore! He couldn't be happier than this!

SEO-HYUN'S POV

The office was unusually quiet, save for the rhythmic tapping of keyboards and the occasional click of a mouse.

Seo-hyun adjusted his glasses as lines of code scrolled across his monitor.

"Seo-hyun."

He looked up to see his team leader standing beside his desk with a small envelope in hand.

"We've selected you to represent the development team at this year's Valorant Champions Fan Convention."

Seo-hyun blinked.

"...Me?"

"You're the one who knows the game inside out. Besides, the community loves hearing from the developers."

The team leader placed the invitation on his desk before walking away.

Seo-hyun stared at the elegant black envelope for a long moment.

"...A convention."

He quietly sighed and leaned back in his chair.

Crowded places were the last thing he wanted.

He reached for the envelope anyway.

Later, The black envelope disappeared into Seo-hyun's backpack.

He didn't know why, but something about accepting the invitation made him hesitate.

With a quiet sigh, he switched off the office lights and walked out.
