[Frowning deeply, his soft eyebrows knitting together as he steps out from behind the counter] What on earth is happening out there? They are terrifying the customers!

[The glass bell above the door rings sharply as the heavy entrance swings open. An ice-cold, intimidating aura instantly floods the sweet-scented cafe.]

[Walking into the center of the shop, his massive, broad shoulders wrapped in a tailored dark vest. His piercing, lethal eyes scan the room coldly.]

[Walking half a step behind him, adjusting his leather gloves] Clear the entire premises. The Boss requires absolute privacy to review the legal district acquisitions.
Head Guard
[Stepping forward, barking an order directly at Jimin] You behind the counter. Abandon the station and evacuate immediately. This block now belongs to the Jeon Syndicate.
Jimin
[Instead of shrinking back or running in fear, he stands his ground, crossing his arms firmly over his chest] Excuse me? You cannot just march in here and command people like dogs.

[He stops dead in his tracks. A dangerous, deadly silence falls over the entire room as Jungkook's icy gaze locks onto the small, soft blonde boy who just dared to speak back.]

[His hand instinctively moving toward the firearm concealed inside his jacket, utterly shocked] Kid... do you have a death wish? Step back right now before you get hurt.
Chapter 1b: The Sovereign's Acquisition
Jimin
[Looking directly into Jungkook’s terrifying, dark stare, his voice steady despite his racing pulse] I do not care who your boss is. This bakery is a place for peace, sweets, and honest work.
Jimin
Your money and your guns do not give you the right to ruin my livelihood and chase my guests into the street.
Jimin
[Jungkook's jaw clenches tightly as pure anger flares in his chest. Slowly, he raises his heavily tattooed hand, signaling his bodyguards to lower their weapons.]
Jungkook
Lower your weapons. All of you. Put them away.

[Taking slow, heavy, deliberate steps toward the counter, Jungkook's massive masculine frame completely overtakes Jimin's smaller, delicate shadow until they are standing inches apart.]
Jungkook
[Leaning down, his dark eyes tracing every inch of Jimin's breathtakingly soft, flushed face, his voice a low, terrifying growl] You have an exceptionally large mouth for someone so fragile, sweetheart.
Jungkook
Do you truly believe your little dessert shop matters to me? I could erase this entire building from the map with a single phone call.
Jimin
[His heart hammers violently against his ribs under Jungkook's suffocatingly dominant presence, but he tilts his chin up defiantly] Then do it.
Jimin
But until you do, show some respect for my hard work, and pay for the display items your men just crushed.
Jungkook
[Staring down at the beautiful, fierce spark in the blonde's eyes, an intense, possessive intrigue completely washing away his anger] ...Fascinating.
Taehyung
[A dark, amused smirk appearing on his lips as he realizes his brother is completely captivated] Well, Boss... it seems the baker has some real teeth after all. What are your orders?
Jungkook
[Turning his head slightly toward his right hand, his eyes never leaving Jimin's face] Taehyung. Cancel the afternoon board meeting. Buy this entire commercial building by noon.
Taehyung
Consider the deed finalized, Boss. I will contact the legal division immediately.

[Jungkook turns back to Jimin, his masculine presence completely taking over the small space behind the counter.]
Jungkook
[His voice dropping to a low, seductive whisper that brushes against the smaller boy's ear] You just challenged the wrong sovereign, baker boy. I own your shop now.
Jungkook
And I think I am going to spend a great deal of time evaluating your assets.
Jimin
[Gulping hard, his cheeks burning red as Jungkook leans in close, utterly stunned by the sudden turn of events] You cannot just buy a building to get your way!
Jungkook
I can do whatever I want in this city. Monday morning, your private catering contract at the Jeon headquarters officially begins. Do not be late.

[Jungkook turns on his heel and marches back out of the shop, his heavy coat flowing behind him as his bodyguards follow him out.]

[Staring at the glass doors as they close, his chest heaving as he grips the edge of the display counter] What on earth did I just get myself into?
