The sound of my alarm echoed through my room at 6:00 a.m.

I slowly opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling. Summer vacation was finally over, which meant only one thing—I had to survive another year of school.

After getting ready, I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs.

"You're going to be late on the first day?" Mom laughed as she handed me a piece of toast.

"I'm not late," I replied, checking the time on my phone. "I'm fashionably early."

The school halls were louder than I remembered. Everyone was busy catching up with their friends while I stood there wondering why I didn't stay in bed for another five minutes.

"Move!"

Someone bumped into my shoulder, causing my notebook to fall onto the floor.

"Oh! Sorry!"

Before I could say anything, the boy quickly picked it up and handed it back to me with an awkward smile.

"My bad."

"It's okay," I smiled politely.

And just like that, he disappeared into the crowd.

I just went to my class and sat on the last bench.

As I sat there a girl came to me and said that "you know the seat next to you is of the most popular boy"

I looked at her with blank expression and said "So what?"

She said that "huhhh, you're so mean,I was trying to warn you and you're saying "so what?"

At first I thought she's one those annoying students who came and warn you and scare you.

I thought she's the just one,but I didn't know she was saying the truth.

As I was thinking I just took a deep breath and started to read a novel.

It's book by "Renuka Gavrani" I was reading

My dad left us. My mom have to work alone, she spent half of her time in office, it's really hard....

Once I literally tried to give up... I tried to jump off a building...

And since it's my first day in another school,I left that school,After summer vacation started. Because some mf bullied me and I also threw hands on them,that's why we both got suspended but I force my mom that I don't want to be in that school anymore.

When suddenly someone threw a bag at the seat next to me.

First, I was processing the situation when suddenly our teacher also came.

But since I don't want to be in a popular or big school, My mom decided to choose a local, small one, near my house.

But unfortunately, we couldn't find any school near our house.

So, this high school is a little far, but I don't want my mom to worry about me, so I didn't complain her, I can manage it myself.

Anyway back to the class.

Unfortunately the first is math I hate the most.

He was teaching us, when a student came out of nowhere.

"Noah, you're again late" the math teacher said in a strict tone.

"You brat" "Go to your seat" the teacher said.

I got a feeling that he's going to sit next to me.

Well, of we talk about his visuals, he looks kinda ethereal, but about personality after his Convo with the teacher, In my opinion he's like that spoiled rich kid.

Anyway, he didn't even try to talk to me which I kind of liked.

The moment the bell rang, the whole class became noisy.

Some students immediately gathered around their friends while others rushed out of the classroom as if they had been waiting their entire lives for lunch break.

As for me?

I stayed exactly where I was.

Making new friends on the first day wasn't really my thing. Besides, I was already tired from waking up early.

I took out the lunch box my mom had packed for me this morning. She woke up earlier than usual just because it was my first day, so I couldn't let her hard work go to waste.

Just as I was about to take my first bite, someone suddenly sat on my desk.

I slowly looked up only to see Noah.

"You always stare at people this much?" he asked while looking at me.

"No? I was wondering why you're sitting on my desk," I replied.

"My mom did."

I was honestly surprised. I thought he would say something rude judging from his personality.

Before I could reply, one of his friends came running into our class.

"Noah! We're waiting for you!" he shouted.

I ignored his weird comment and finally started eating my lunch peacefully.

A few girls suddenly entered our classroom and immediately started whispering while looking at Noah's empty seat.

I quietly listened while pretending I wasn't interested at all.

Okay, maybe I was a little curious.

Apparently, Noah is one of the most popular students in our grade despite his horrible attitude.

Makes sense, I guess. Pretty privilege exists for a reason.

The lunch break finally ended, and everyone returned to their seats.

Noah walked into the classroom with his usual expressionless face and sat beside me.

"You talk a lot during lunch," he suddenly said.

Before I could think about it any further, our English teacher entered the classroom.

"Good afternoon, everyone. Since we have a new student today, let's have a small activity."

Then I just went to my home.

As I opened the door, my cat "Louise" was standing in front of the door.

I pat her, she's so soft, and fluffy. Just like a cotton.

Then I went to kitchen, only to find out there is nothing.

I was so hungry, but I controlled it.

And went to take a cold shower.

Then I just tie my hair, and started to study.

My tests are near, and I have to give my best.

At evening my mom came, she didn't make the dinner. She brought some stuff with her. That was fried chicken, I think she forgot I'm allergic to chickens.

I didn't complain, as I don't want her to get worried, I just said that I'm not hungry, and gave my piece to Louise.

My stomach was growling because, I haven't eaten anything accept that lunch in school.

I just went to sleep.

I didn't sleep at all.

As I got slept.

Alarm buzzed.

I woke up.

I got ready for school.

My made proper breakfast.

It was, omelette, roasted bread, and hot milk tea.

I was admiring the breakfast until.

"Looking delicious,right? I know you haven't eaten anything."

"Come eat with me" my mom said with a soft smile on her face.

"how do you know"I said.

" I may spend half my day in office, but I know whether you have eaten or not, after all I'm your mom" she said softly.

"you're the best, mom" I said.

"Now come, and eat or else you'll faint." she said.

I sat next to her and ate the breakfast.

It was so delicious.

Then she handed me 5000RS and said "go buy whatever you want"

"But—" I was saying then she said.

"Okay now I'm getting late, bye, take care of yourself, honey".

Then I got to know that, my mom is not bad she can be cruel sometimes, but the things she says is for my own good.

In the first time in these 2 difficult years, for her and for me as well.

She cared for me so much.

After dad left, she was kinda lost for some months, now that she's a single mom she has so many difficulties

okay back to real life.

I packed my bag, put my lunch in the bag, and went to school.
