Luca rushed toward the captain’s tent, but just as he was about to step inside, he froze. For someone inside had mentioned his name. He didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but curiosity got the better of him.
Vice captain Nicolas
Why won’t you let him be a knight your being a bit hard on him

I promise the old man I’d watch and that includes knowing when he’s ready I’d be a monster if I knighted him like that

A frantic figure slammed into Luca, knocking him off his feet.

Lucian scrambled to his feet and hurried toward the glow on the camp’s edge. By the time he reached the perimeter, a handful of people were already tossing buckets of water onto a small storage shed but wouldn’t even go out they even called the water saints but no matter how much water they poured on it, it evaporated almost instantly

What could have possible caused this!

As bickering erupted behind him, Luca tuned out the noise. He drifted toward the blaze, his gaze fixed on the burning shed, taking in every detail while everyone else was distracted.
Captain Valerious
What do you mean?
Luca
I-it’s just a guess because the person who set it didn’t chose something more flameable or important I-l just assume…
Captain Valerious

Chapter 2
Surprisingly someone was there, but it turned out to be two people instead of one. They all move deeper into the forest, attempting to catch up to the cloaked figures.
Finally they Trappt the two figures against the trees, the pursuers closed in. Before anyone could move, one person yanked their companion behind them to act as a shield.
Captain Valerious
stop in the name of Solaria!

They named a kingdom after the sun…
???
…and forgot what its warmth was for.
Captain Valerious
How dare you!
Enraged by the insult to his homeland, Captain Valerious lunged at the cloaked figure. He was instantly repelled by a sudden blast of fire, sending him airborne before he slammed hard into a nearby tree. Knocked unconscious by the impact, leaving Luca and Vice Captain Nicolas standing to face the threat.
Vice captain Nicolas
*whisper* Luca I’m gonna hold him off go get help
Luca
*whisper* b-but what about you
Vice captain Nicolas
I’ll be fine just go!
Luca was about to bolt when he spotted the second cloaked figure leap high into the air, aiming for the cliff above. He froze, his mind racing until a flash of inspiration hit. Sprinting over to the unconscious Captain Valerious, he snatched up the captain’s shield and charged toward the cloak man the man vice captain Nicolas was fighting with.
Vice captain Nicolas
Luca what are you doing I thought I told you to get help!
Luca leapt onto a rock and launched himself toward the cloaked man. Predicting the move, the enemy fired a burst of flames straight at him, but Luca shielded himself just in time.
The force of the blast flung him into the sky, much higher than expected. Coming back down, he crashed directly on top of the second cloaked figure, successfully stoping him before he could retreat.
Luca froze for a fraction of a second, finally catching a glimpse of the face hidden beneath the hood. Before he could process it, the figure shoved him hard to the ground and took off. Pushing himself up, Luca gave chase.
They sprinted for what felt like miles, plunging into a dense wall of mist. Luca closed the distance, reaching out to grab the thief just as the figure abruptly halted. Luca’s momentum carried him forward right off the edge of a hidden cliff.
As he plunged into the icy water below, he looked up just in time to watch the cloaked figure disappear into the fog, sinking deeper into the dark abyss.
Chapter 3
Captain Valerious, standing before the king, as he began his report
Captain Valerious
I apologies your could not find the dragon and as we were searching we got attack by two people
King Helios
Did you capture them?
Captain Valerious
no we got over powered and they got away…
King Helios
*sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose*
King Helios
How many casualties
Captain Valerious
only one and we are looking for him immediately
King Helios
No need focus all your efforts on finding the dragon
King Helios
That an order you are dismiss
Captain Valerious
There is one more thing
Captain Valerious
As the red haired masked man was about to kill my vice captain said that chains appear around him almost as if something was stopping him from taking his life
Captain Valerious

*bows and leaves*
The moment the door clicked shut behind the captain, the king stood and stormed out to the garden. He began violently tearing the space apart, stopping only when a purple haired priest stepped into view.
