Arranged to the Speed Demon
trouble
Female Lead (FL): Elvira
Age / Year: 20 | Junior Year Business & Fashion Merchandising
Status: High-Profile Student / Daughter of a Prominent Family
Personality: Sharp-witted, stylish, and fiercely independent. She’s clever, quick on her feet, and refuses to let her family treat her life like a business transaction. Underneath her chic, confident exterior, she’s a loyal friend who panics just a little bit when things spiral out of her control.
University Reputation: Known for her effortless aesthetic, sharp intellect, and zero-tolerance policy for snobs or arrogant campus guys
🏎️ Male Lead (ML): Dino Beganovic
Age / Year: 21 | Final Year Sports Management & Mechanical Engineering
Status: Star Athlete (Professional Ferrari Academy Racer) / University’s Golden Boy
Personality: Calm, composed, and highly disciplined under pressure. To outsiders, he seems reserved, intense, and completely focused on his racing career. But behind closed doors—and around Elvira—he is quietly observant, incredibly protective, and has a dry, razor-sharp sense of humor.
University Reputation: The campus idol who rarely shows up to parties and turns down every romantic confession because his calendar is completely consumed by telemetry data, gym sessions, and race circuits.
(A noisy, cobblestone street in Bosnia. Squeal of high-speed tires nearby.)
elvira(fl)
WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM?! He almost hit us!
lejla
Shh! Elvira, keep your voice down!
elvira(fl)
Keep my voice down? That idiot is driving like he owns the entire town!
lejla
Do you even know who that is?
elvira(fl)
I don’t care if he’s the mayor!
lejla
That’s Dino Beganovic! He’s a national-level racer and our senior! Don’t do anything crazy!
elvira(fl)
Senior or not, he needs a lesson in road rules.
(Screech of brakes. A sleek sports car pulls over up ahead.)
(A stylish girl runs up to the driver's side door.)
lejla
Woah... isn’t that Aida?
lejla
His friend. Everyone knows she’s obsessed with him.
(Aida leans down and hugs Dino tightly through the car window. They talk and laugh for a moment.)
dino(ml)
I have to go, Aida. Catch you later.
(Dino revs the engine and speeds off. Aida blows a big flying kiss after the car.)
elvira(fl)
Cute? It’s cringey. Let’s go, my dad is calling.
..
Elvira, where are you? Come home fast.
elvira(fl)
Is everything okay?
..
Your uncle and his family are here. They brought a marriage proposal for you.
elvira(fl)
WHAT?! Baba, no!
..
Just come home now. We will discuss it.
lejla
What happened? Your face went pale!
elvira(fl)
I'm in big trouble...
marriage
The tranquil air inside the women’s section of the central masjid felt like a world away from the noise of the city. Soft sunlight filtered through the stained-glass arches, casting warm patterns across the carpet.
Elvira smoothed down the folds of her pale beige abaya and adjusted her matching hijab, making sure every strand of hair was neatly tucked away. Next to her, Amina was busily re-tying her scarf, sighing under her breath.
..
"I still say you should’ve let me talk back to that speed-maniac earlier
elvira(fl)
Amina, we are in the house of Allah. Forget about that guy and his loud sports car. Focus on your prayer.
Before Amina could offer a witty reply, the resonant, deep sound of a microphone adjusting echoed through the speakers. A second later, the first notes of the Adhan began to echo through the dome.
The voice was unlike anything they usually heard during the afternoon prayers. It wasn't the trembling, familiar voice of the elderly local imam. This voice was breathtakingly clear—rich, smooth, and full of effortless melody that made every person in the hall freeze in place. The recitation carried a quiet, commanding humility that raised goosebumps on Elvira’s arms.
..
Amina’s eyes widened, her jaw dropping slightly. She leaned over to Elvira, whispering, "Did we get a new Hujur? Who is reciting?"

Amina’s eyes widened, her jaw dropping slightly. She leaned over to Elvira, whispering, "Did we get a new Hujur? Who is reciting?"
elvira(fl)
"I... I think so," Elvira murmured, her heart oddly heavy with curiosity. "That doesn't sound like Sheikh Rahil at all
Unable to resist, both girls cautiously crept toward the carved wooden balcony railing overlooking the main prayer hall below. They leaned forward, looking down toward the mimbar.
Directly in front of the microphone stood a tall, broad-shouldered young man wearing a crisp white thawb. His stance was relaxed yet disciplined. However, from their angle on the upper floor, only his back was visible. The shadow of his sharp jawline showed slightly as he turned to adjust the mic, but his face remained completely hidden from their view.
Neither of them had any idea that the mysterious, soulful voice echoing through the masjid belonged to Dino Beganovic—the very same "arrogant driver" Elvira had cursed on the street just hours prior. Underneath the high-profile racer persona was a man who deeply cherished his roots, frequently slipping into the local masjid quietly whenever he returned home to visit his family.
..
Whoever he is, his voice is incredible," Amina whispered as they stepped back to join the prayer rows.
Elvira simply nodded, still feeling the strange lingering calm of the recitation as they joined the congregation for Salah.
An hour later, Elvira reached her family’s house, kicking off her shoes near the door. The peaceful feeling from the masjid vanished the moment she stepped into the living room.
The house was in total disarray. Her mother was frantically pacing back and forth with a glass of water, while her aunt was dabbing her father’s forehead with a damp cloth. Her father lay slumped dramatically on the velvet sofa, holding his chest with a weak groan.
elvira(fl)
Baba!" Elvira cried out, rushing to his side, her heart dropping into her stomach. "What happened?! Did someone call an ambulance?
..
"Oh, Elvira, you're back!" her mother gasped, placing a hand over her heart. "Your father... his blood pressure spiked out of nowhere! The doctor says he needs complete rest and no stress!"
Her father let out a feeble, exaggerated cough, opening one eye slightly to look at Elvira.
..
Elvira... my chest," her dad groaned weakly, clutching his shirt. "I don't know how much time I have left
elvira(fl)
Baba, stop talking like that! What caused this?"
..
"It’s... it’s your future, my daughter," her father whimpered, pulling off a performance worthy of an Oscar. "My heart breaks knowing you are refusing the proposal from your uncle’s family. Such a good, respectable boy... If I die knowing you are all alone without a settled match, I won't rest in peace!"
Elvira stood frozen, looking from her mother’s anxious face to her father’s pitiful expression. She wasn't stupid—the subtle winks her aunt was passing to her mother gave the entire game away. Her father was completely faking the dramatic episode just to guilt-trip her into agreeing to the arranged marriage.
Panic flared in her chest. She couldn't accept this proposal, but if she flat-out refused right now, her father would drag this medical drama out for weeks.
She needed an emergency exit, and she needed it immediately.
elvira(fl)
Baba," Elvira blurted out before she could second-guess herself. "You don't have to worry about my marriage
..
Her father’s groaning stopped instantly. He sat up a little too quickly for a dying man. "What do you mean?"

[Living Room - Evening]
(Elvira sits stiffly on the sofa while her family and the prospective groom, Ahsan, sit across from her.)
..
(Smiles, clearing his throat loudly)
..
"Elvira... I wrote something for you. From my heart."
elvira(fl)
Oh... you really didn't have to
..
Your beauty is like a fresh cucumber in the garden... crunchy, green, and full of water—
elvira(fl)
(Gags softly, pressing a hand to her mouth)
..
(Whispers frantically)
"Elvira, hold it in!"
..
When I look at you, my heart barks like a—"
elvira(fl)
"I—I'm so sorry—"
(She bolts out of the room toward the bathroom)
[15 Minutes Later - Living Room]
(Elvira walks back in, wiping her mouth with a tissue. Her dad and Ahsan are standing together, both looking furious.)
..
Elvira! What is the meaning of this?!"
elvira(fl)
"Baba, I felt sick—"
..
Sick?! Uncle, she didn't just throw up! She has morning sickness!"
..
You’re pregnant, aren’t you?! That’s why you’re rejecting me!"
..
Is this true, Elvira?! Are you carrying someone's child?!"
..
Baba... you actually believe him?"
..
Answer me! Why else would you throw up out of nowhere?!"
elvira(fl)
"I knew it. You don't trust your own daughter."
elvira(fl)
(Reaches into her abaya pocket and throws a unused, sealed test kit onto the table)
"Here."
elvira(fl)
A pregnancy test. Brand new."
..
"You brought that with you?!"
elvira(fl)
Take it. Go to the pharmacy, test it, do whatever you want."
elvira(fl)
(Looking at her dad, tears spilling over)
"I’m not pregnant, Baba. His poetry was just that terrible."
(Ahsan stares at the box on the table, speechless. Elvira’s dad looks at the unused test, his face red with a mix of anger and sudden embarrassment.)
..
(Muttering)
"Elvira... I—"
elvira(fl)
Don't. Just don't, Baba."
