My Man Is a Bird
Lost
Nayan Thapa
I never should've come here in the first place... ohooooo. Now I'm stranded in an endless desert
Nayan, a young man from Assam, traveled with a crew through the Thar Desert. During the journey, he got separated from the group and lost his way. Now it's his second day alone in the endless desert. Exhausted, thirsty, and surrounded by nothing but sand, he continues wandering in search of a way back, hoping to find his crew before it's too late.
Nayan Thapa
Hafff , i don't want to die like this
A sharp eagle's cry echoed across the silent desert.
Nayan stopped in his tracks and looked around, trying to find where the sound had come from.
His eyes scanned the endless dunes until they landed on an injured eagle lying in the sand, its wings battered and barely able to move.
Nayan Thapa
Oh god, Are you ok ?
As Nayan slowly reached out to pick up the injured eagle, the bird let out a deep, threatening screech.
Its sharp eyes locked onto him, and it spread its uninjured wing as if warning him to stay away. Even in pain, the eagle refused to let anyone touch it.
Nayan Thapa
Calm down! I am helping you!
The eagle stared at Nayan for a long moment. Sensing no fear or ill intent in his voice, it slowly lowered its guard and surrendered, allowing him to come closer.
.
Nayan Thapa
"Let me help you," Nayan whispered gently.
He uncapped the last bottle of water he had and carefully cleaned the eagle's wound.
Then, without hesitation, he tore a strip from his own shirt and wrapped it around the injured wing, making a simple bandage.
The eagle remained still, watching him quietly as the pain slowly began to ease
Nayan gently lifted the eagle into his arms and continued walking across the endless desert.
Nayan Thapa
You know, little eagle,
he said with a faint smile
Nayan Thapa
I came here hoping to find work. But some people betrayed my trust, and now I'm lost. I don't even know if I'll make it out of this desert alive... and neither do you.
He looked down at the injured bird.
Nayan Thapa
So, what do you say?
We find a way out together... or, if fate has other plans, we'll die together.
The eagle quietly looked back into Nayan's eyes. For a brief moment, its expression softened as if it truly understood every word.
It was a subtle look, one so faint that only another eagle, especially a female eagle, could have recognized what it meant.
Warmth
Night slowly fell over the Thar Desert.
The scorching heat of the day vanished, replaced by a biting cold that cut through the silence.
Exhausted, Nayan finally sat down against a sand dune, still holding the injured eagle in his arms.
Nayan Thapa
Don't worry,"
he whispered, gently stroking its feathers
"I'll keep you warm."
As the temperature continued to drop, Nayan took off his outer clothes and carefully wrapped them around the eagle.
The eagle looked at him for a long moment. Its golden eyes seemed to smile.
Nayan Thapa
Nayan chuckled weakly. "Why are you smiling?"
The eagle simply turned its head away, saying nothing.
Minutes turned into hours. The icy wind grew harsher, and Nayan's body began to tremble violently.
With no strength left, he slowly drifted into a deep sleep, shivering in the freezing desert night.
The eagle quietly slipped out of his arms.
A soft golden glow surrounded its body. Feathers dissolved into shimmering light, and within moments, the eagle transformed into a man.
He appeared to be about three years older than Nayan, standing nearly six and a half feet tall with a broad, powerful build.
His left arm remained wrapped in the bandage Nayan had made, still injured.
He looked down at the sleeping young man who had given away his own warmth without expecting anything in return.
Xiao Yun
Faint smile crossed his face.
Using his uninjured arm, the man gently pulled Nayan close against his chest, shielding him from the freezing wind.
Holding him carefully, he shared his body heat, making sure Nayan would survive the cold until sunrise.
The first rays of the morning sun spread across the desert, gently warming the cold sand.
Nayan slowly opened his eyes. For a moment, he was confused. The freezing cold from the night was gone.
He looked down and found the little eagle nestled against him, one of its healthy wings stretched over his chest as if it had spent the entire night trying to keep him warm.
Nayan Thapa
A soft laugh escaped his lips.
"So... you care about me too?"
Smiling warmly, Nayan gently pulled the eagle into a hug, careful not to touch its injured wing.
Nayan Thapa
"Thank you, little guy."

Ep 3
Unforgiving. Heat shimmered across the endless desert as Nayan continued walking, each step heavier than the last. Sweat soaked through his clothes, trickling down his face and neck. His breathing grew slower, but he refused to stop.
The little eagle stirred in his arms. It wriggled insistently, trying to free itself.
Nayan Thapa
Nayan loosened his grip just enough.
"Hey... what are you doing?"
he asked with a tired smile.
Instead of flying away, the eagle carefully climbed onto Nayan's shoulder. Using its one healthy wing, it stretched it gently over Nayan's head, shielding him from the scorching sunlight as best it could.
Nayan let out a soft laugh despite his exhaustion.
Nayan Thapa
"Are you worried about me?"
he asked warmly.
"Come down. I'm fine."
It only adjusted its wing a little more, determined to keep the harsh sun off the human who had carried and protected it.
