Sessizlik & Bekleyiş: An Incomplete Story

Ch1: No One Reported Her Missing

"No one reported her missing.

That was the first sign she didn’t matter."

There were no calls made to the police, no trembling voices asking if anyone had seen her. No posters printed with a smiling photograph that begged strangers to care. No one stood beneath streetlights at night whispering her name into the dark, hoping the silence would answer back.

The world continued. It always does.

She lived in a place where people noticed everything late rent, broken streetlamps, unfamiliar faces but somehow, they did not notice her absence. Her door remained closed for days. Then weeks. Dust began to settle along the edges of her window like quiet confirmation that time had moved on without her.

No one knocked.

Perhaps they thought she had moved away. Or maybe they never thought about her at all.

It is strange, how easily a life can slip through the cracks. She had a name once. I won’t write it.

Not because I don’t know it but because it No longer belongs Anywhere.

Names requires Memory and Memory requires someone willing to hold on. No one did. Not for her.

And How smilingly she once said if No would be able to hold her then She wish, She would be forgotten, Like Ashes does in Water.

She used to sit by the window. Not waiting for someone in particular at least, that’s what she told herself. But people who sit like that, watching the same empty road every evening, are not just passing time. They are measuring it. Hoping that one day, something or someone will arrive and justify all the waiting.

Nothing ever did.

Cars passed. Strangers laughed. The world carried on with its usual indifference. And she stayed where she was, as if leaving that spot would mean missing the one moment that might change everything.

It never came.

There was a night cold, quieter than most when something shifted. No dramatic sound. No visible break.

Just a decision.

The kind that doesn’t announce itself. She stood up from the window, slowly, as though her body had already begun to forget its purpose. The room behind her was untouched books stacked neatly, a cup left half-full, a life paused in the middle of becoming something more.

Or less.

She didn’t pack anything. That’s important.

People who plan to return always leave things behind with care, like breadcrumbs leading them back. But she didn’t leave a trail. She left… nothing.

Because she wasn’t planning to Return.

You might think someone would remember her.

A neighbour, perhaps. Someone who had seen her in passing quiet, unremarkable, easy to overlook.

But memory is Selective. It keeps what is loud, what demands attention but it keeps hidden depth of Silence too.

She was good at disappearing. Long before she ever left.

I don’t know where she went. Or maybe I do.

But knowing doesn’t change anything.

Because this isn’t a story about where she ended up.

It’s about how she vanished while the world kept pretending she was never there to begin with.

There are still traces. Small ones. A silence that feels heavier than it should.

But traces fade. They always do.

But To her Never.

And when they’re gone Tell me,

What remains of a person No One Remembers?

I am writing this down before I forget too.

Because I think… I think I knew her once.

Ch 2: The Things No one was able to hear

There were things she never said. Not because she didn’t feel them.

But because she learned, very early, that saying things did not mean they would be heard.

She spoke, once. loudly & desperately.

But was not Just enough to be understood

Or at least, that’s what She believed at the time.

But understanding requires attention & attention is something the World rarely gives to those who don’t demand it. Even she demanded that time but was opposed with unhealed words.

Her words fell into Spaces already filled with noise laughter that didn’t include her, conversations that moved past her, people who nodded without listening.

So she stopped. Not all at once.

Silence, like disappearance is gradual.

People liked her better that way. Quiet people are easier to keep around. They don’t interrupt. They don’t complicate things. They don’t ask for more than what is given.

So she began to edit herself. Shorter replies. Fewer emotions. Eventually, nothing at all.

She became convenient. And convenience is often mistaken for acceptance.

There was one evening late, almost forgotten When she almost said everything.

I remember this clearly as I silently watching her.

She stood in front of someone who mattered. Maybe not in the way people expect but in the quiet, fragile way that makes a person believe they are seen.

She wasn’t. But she thought she was.

Her hands trembled slightly. Not enough for anyone to notice. Just enough for her to feel it.

“I’ve been…” she started. And then she stopped.

“You’ve been what?” I asked

“Nothing,” she said.

She Never told Me What Happened that Evening.

She stopped trying to explain herself. Stopped expecting anyone to notice the difference between her presence and her absence. Stopped believing that words had weight.

There are no recorded conversations left of her voice. No messages saved.

No words quoted or remembered.

Everything she never said remained with her.

And everything she did say Disappeared just as easily.

I try to remember what her voice sounded like.

Sometimes I think I almost have it. A certain softness. A hesitation before finishing a sentence.

But every time I reach for it, It slips. Like everything else about her.

She existed in fragments. And now, even those fragments are beginning to fade.

Silence did not take her.

It was given to her & made to believe she better not say out what she going through from inside. Again and again When she tries to say her talk but then she was made to remember Even being on her side she saw as No one really was her side & want her to hear.

Until she had nothing else left to become. Even if she wants to live for whom she wants too, but it wasn't easy for her & for them too. She has got this already in the silence of theirs. Now difficult it has turns out for them too now to keep her safe.

***TBC***...

Ch3: Whispers behind closed doors

It was never loud. That was the worst part.

If they had shouted, if they had openly rejected her, maybe she could have fought back.

Maybe she could have defended herself, or at least known exactly where she stood.

But instead, everything came in fragments half sentences, lowered voices, conversations that stopped the moment she walked in.

She learned to notice the pauses. The way laughter softened when she entered the room.

The way her exclusion from every single thing.

The way eyes met each other, silently communicating things she wasn’t meant to understand.

And then, one day, she finally heard it.

“You really think she belongs here?”

The words weren’t meant for her, but she heard them anyway.

She froze just outside the doorway, her fingers tightening around the edge of the wall as if it was the only thing holding her steady.

“She doesn’t fit,” another voice added. “It’s obvious.”

There was a small pause before someone else spoke again.

“You deserves someone better not her."

That sentence sank deeper than the rest.

Not because it was new but because it confirmed everything she had been feeling.

She didn’t belong. Not in their world. Not in his, nor in her. And maybe not even in their future too.

She stepped back quietly before they could notice her, her heart pounding in a way that felt unfamiliar like it was trying to escape something it couldn’t fight.

Later that night, everything seemed normal.

Too normal.

He sat beside her, his presence steady and familiar. For a moment, she wondered if she had imagined everything.

“You’ve been distant,” he said casually, glancing at her.

She almost laughed.

Distant. That word felt ironic.

“I’m just tired,” she replied softly.

It was easier than explaining the truth.

Easier than saying I feel unwanted everywhere and even that is starting to fade.

He leaned back slightly, studying her for a moment.

“You know they don’t mean anything, right?”

Her breath caught.

I see,so he knew, she smiled.

That realization didn’t comfort her it hurt more.

Because if he knew Why hadn’t he done anything?

“They’re just looking out for me,” he added, shrugging.

For me.

Not for us.

Not for her.

That single word created a distance that no physical closeness could erase.

She nodded slowly, forcing herself to stay calm.

“Yeah,” she said, even though it felt like something inside her had gone quiet.

That night, she lay awake.

Her mind replayed every word she had heard.

Every look. Every moment she had tried to ignore.

And for the first time, she didn’t question them.

She questioned him, his silence.

Because love was there. She could feel it.

But protection? That was missing. Or May be she felt Opposite who knows.

But without protection, love starts to feel fragile.

Temporary.

Like something that can be taken away at any moment and no one would stop it.

She turned slightly.

And a quiet thought formed in her heart, one she didn’t dare say out loud.

If I was really important …

Wouldn’t I have been protected & understood too by those whom i loved?
