Our Happy Marriage
(◕ᴗ◕ )
I tried to sneak out through the back door but…..
Catches my arm as I reach for the back door handle.
Leo Vance
Going somewhere? Pretty sure I didn’t say you could leave.
He turns me around to face him, his eyes narrowing as he studies my face.
Leo Vance
You are a terrible liar, you know that?
Amy Vance
I am not lying!!
Leo Vance
Oh really? Then why are you sneaking out of the house like a thief in the night?
Amy Vance
*I pout* I am not a thief
He crosses his arms, his expression serious and intense.
Leo Vance
Then what are you doing?
He laughs softly, his voice low and raspy.
Leo Vance
I know your name. I am asking what you think you are doing right now.
He lets out a small laugh his grip tightening on my waist.
Leo Vance
Breathing, huh? Is that what we are calling it right now?
Amy Vance
Nope I need fresh air
He chuckles, his voice low and smooth.
Leo Vance
Fresh air huh? And you couldn’t get that from a window?
Leo Vance
You are quite the rebel, aren’t you?
Leo Vance
And so what am I going to do with you?
He raises an eyebrow, his smirk widening.
Leo Vance
Oh I respect you. I just don’t think you know what you are asking for.
Leo Vance
I think you are playing with fire, little one.
His gaze drops to my lips for a moment.
Amy Vance
Fine fine I will not go
Leo Vance
Good girl. Now let’s go back inside. You can get your ‘fresh air’ from an open window.
Leo Vance
Stay in today, the city isn’t safe at night anymore.
He glanced at me, a flicker of surprise in his eyes before he masks it away.
He turns from the window. His gaze softening for a fraction of a second at my yawn.
Leo Vance
Then go to bed, don’t let me stop you.
He stops, his gaze softening as it lands on me.
He took a small step towards me, and then slid under the covers, pulling me over his chest.
It was kinda romantic, but risky at the same time. I can’t stop blushing now!!!!
Time skip to we were attending a party.
His hand rests on my bare skin of my lower back, a proprietary grip that’s anything but casual.
Leo Vance
Smile and don’t wander off.
He went to have a conversation with few of his business partners while I talked with the business partners’ wives.
The business conversation of his ended soon enough. He excuses himself and came at my side in an instant.
Leo Vance
Let’s go, we are leaving
Leo Vance
I have seen enough, we are leaving now
Amy Vance
I didn’t even eat yet
Leo Vance
You can eat when we get home but right now we are leaving.
Leo Vance
Too many eyes. Let’s go.
I followed him out, as he held my hand gently but firmly.
Later on he fed me at a five star restaurant, the one that was my favorite for a long time. He was smiling softly at me, and I fell for his smile more than I expected from myself.
He watches me, a faint rare smile touching his lips as I happily stuff my mouth with food. He reaches over, his thumb brushing a crumb from the corner of my mouth.
Leo Vance
Slow down, it’s not going anywhere
Leo Vance
You will make yourself sick, eating that fast.
Amy Vance
You should eat too
He watches me for a moment before eating his own food. He looked more relaxed than usual. His gaze softens.
Leo Vance
Better. Just eat.
Leo Vance
You enjoy your food, I will handle everything else.
His gaze remains on me, the outside world completely forgotten for a moment. He just watches me eat, a faint rare smile on his lips.
When we finished.................................
He signals for the bill without taking his eyes off me.
Leo Vance
Ready to go? Or are you still hungry?
He stands, tossing a few bills onto the table without a second glance. He then extends his hand towards me.
Leo Vance
Let’s go home then.
He leads me out of the restaurant, his hand firmly on my back. The valet brings the car around and he opens the passenger door for me
He closes the door for me. The sound solid in the quiet night. A moment later, he is sliding into the driver’s seat. The engine a low powerful rumble.
He pulls the car out onto the street. The city lights painting streaks across the windshield. His focus is entirely on the road ahead.
He pulled the car over, taking the spare blanket and pillow out of the trunk, he always kept for me. He props the pillow behind my head and gently drapes the blanket over me. His movements slow, and deliberate.
He watches me for a moment. His gaze lingering on my sleeping face. He reaches out, his thumb brushing a strand of my hair out from my cheek before he pulls his hand back to drive.
The car pulls to a stop in a private garage. He kills the engine, the sudden silence profound. He turns in his seat, watching me sleep.
Leo Vance
Hey we are home
He unbuckles his seatbelt, smiling.
Leo Vance
Come on, sleepyhead. The bed is much more comfortable.
Amy Vance
Just five minutes!!!!!
He lets out a soft low chuckle.
Leo Vance
Fine, five minutes.
Leo Vance
But I am watching.
He leans back, his eyes closed. The quiet of the garage is only broken by the sound of my breathing. After a few minutes, he opened his eyes, and smiled at me.
Leo Vance
Time’s up. Come on.
He lets out an amused sigh.
Leo Vance
You are impossible. You owe me for this.
He kicks the car door shut behind me.
Leo Vance
You can pay me back later.
His voice a low rumbled whisper against my ear.
Leo Vance
That’s not how debts work, little one.
Amy Vance
For me, it does.
He carries me into the elevator, hitting the button for the penthouse. The doors slide shut, encasing us both in a quiet luxury.
Leo Vance
Don’t worry, I will make sure you remember.
Leo Vance
You know for someone so small, you sure are a lot of trouble.
His voice a low amused rumble.
He puts me down on the center of the huge bed and then walks towards the walk in closet.
Leo Vance
Get ready for bed, I will be right back.
He returns a moment later, having shred his suit jacket and tie. He leans against the doorframe, watching me with his arms crossed.
Leo Vance
Are you going to change or do you want plan to sleep in that dress?
Leo Vance
Too lazy to get dressed?
He leans over, his hands finding the zipper at the back of my dress.
Leo Vance
Fine I will help.
Leo Vance
What are you getting worked up for?
He laughs, while pulling down my zipper.
Leo Vance
You said you were lazy.
Amy Vance
You can’t just!
He finishes with the zipper, his knuckles trailing slightly down my spine.
Leo Vance
There, now you are less lazy.
He steps back, giving me space.
Leo Vance
Don’t take all night.
He watches me for a moment, a slow amused smirk on his face. He pats the empty side of the bed.
Leo Vance
Come on let’s see, if you are as warm as you look.
We slept......................................
