"You're too slow!" the trainer shouted, striking simon's back with a practice stick.
Simon couldn't help glaring at her. Oh God, if only I could kick this woman's butt. Ever since he became an idol trainee, the trainer had made her the constant target of criticism.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. I'll try harder," he said, bowing.
(IN HIS IMAGINATION)
"Who do you think you are?" simon snapped, grabbing the woman's hair.
"Touch me again, and I swear—well... I don't hit people, but don't push me!"
The woman immediately dropped to her knees.
"Oh, sir simon, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it. Please forgive me!"
Simon looked down at her and shoved her face away in annoyance.
(BACK TO REALITY)
A smile escaped simon 's lips as he thought about the imaginary scene.
"What are you smiling about?" Mrs Caroline asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Nothing, ma'am. I'm sorry," Simon replied quickly, bowing once again.
Okay we'll take a break see you later in 30 minutes, Mrs Caroline said tapping her stick
And don't mess it up again,Mrs Caroline said glaring at Simon
Simon sighed heading to the other side of the room
He remembered when she had made him practice in front of everyone, and he made a lot of mistakes He even stepped on a girl. Remembering it made him shiver .
After practice, Simon couldn't help wondering why he was always the target. he remembered being bullied when he was younger and how he had never been able to stand up for himself.
Lost in thought, he didn't realise he had been standing in the same spot for several minutes. his clothes had become caught on a doorknob, and as he struggled to free himself, the delicate fabric tore, ripping off the lower part of his outfit.
Frustrated, Simon rolled his bright sea-blue eyes.
"Can this day get any worse?" he whispered.
Little did he know... it was only the beginning.
When his name was called, simon froze in shock.
Everyone around him erupted into cheers. For them, becoming an idol trainee was a dream come true.
For simon...
It was the beginning of a nightmare.
Simon was the only child of two successful business owners. His father owned a large company, while his mother ran a famous five-star restaurant.
As for Simon 's dream?
It had never been the stage.
he wanted to build a company of his own, inherit his father's business one day, and live life on his own terms.
But he was standing in the training hall because of one reason—
It was his father's wish.
"You'll become a celebrity," he would always say with confidence.
"And you have such a beautiful voice! Why not become a singer? Maybe a K-pop idol... or even a T-pop idol," her mother would add excitedly.
"We'll watch you on television every day and proudly tell everyone, 'That's our son.'"
Their eyes always sparkled as they imagined him accepting award after award.
There was only one problem.
The rules of the family were absolute.
No child was allowed to question their parents' decisions.
Simon had tried countless times to object.
Every single attempt ended with the same reminder—
"Those are the family rules."
Simon let out a quiet sigh as he walked onto the stage, wearing a smile he didn't truly feel. The audience erupted into cheers for the four winners, their excitement echoing throughout the hall.
The CEO of Steros Company stepped onto the stage. Every step he took was calm, measured, and confident—the stride of a man who looked as though he owned the world.
"Thank you all for participating in this competition," he began. "I am truly delighted to introduce our new boy group."
He paused, letting his gaze sweep across the cheering crowd.
"As you all know, this is not only the first kpop idols but also the very first idol group to debut under Steros Company."
A proud smile spread across his face.
"Although many of you already know them, I'd like each member to introduce himself once again."
He turned toward the boys and gestured to the person standing on the far left.
"simon, please begin."
The moment he reached for the microphone, the audience burst into even louder cheers.
Simon let out a quiet sigh as he walked onto the stage, wearing a smile that wasn't his own. The audience erupted into cheers for the four winners, their excitement filling every corner of the arena.
The CEO of Steros Company stepped onto the stage. Every movement was calm, precise, and filled with confidence—the walk of a man who knew exactly what he had built.
"Thank you all for participating in this competition," he began. "Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for Steros Company."
He paused, allowing the cheers to settle before continuing.
"As many of you already know, these four young men will become the very first boy group to debut under our company."
The crowd roared even louder.
"Although you've already come to know them throughout this competition, I'd like each member to introduce himself once more."
He turned to the group and gestured toward the young man standing on the far left.
"Simon, you're first."
Simon took a slow breath before stepping forward. The microphone felt unusually heavy in his hand as thousands of eyes focused on him.
This isn't where I want to be...
He forced another smile.
"Hello, everyone." His voice echoed through the venue. "My name is Simon. I'm honoured to stand here with my teammates, and I hope you'll continue to support us as we work hard to become artists you'll be proud of."
The crowd exploded into applause and excited screams.
Simon smiled politely and bowed.
Inside, however, he felt nothing.
Not excitement.
Not happiness.
Only the quiet hope that one day... he would be free to chase the dream that truly belonged to him.
Simon stepped forward, his footsteps feeling heavier than ever. Beside him, the CEO, Mr Charles, watched with a satisfied smile.
"Hello, everyone! My name is Simon." He rubbed the back of his neck with a nervous grin. "It's my first time standing here as an artist, so... I'm a little nervous."
He suddenly struck a dramatic diva pose.
The audience burst into laughter.
"By the way, I'm the main vocalist of the group. I'm half Korean, half Russian, and I'm eighteen years old."
Simon bowed before returning to his place as the crowd applauded warmly.
The next member stepped forward. His dark eyes carried a mysterious charm, while his black outfit gave him a cool, intimidating aura.
As he reached the spotlight, the crowd cheered loudly.
"Hello, everyone. My name is Cealum, and I'm—"
"Wait a second," Mr Charles interrupted with a smile. "What does your name mean? I've never heard it before."
Cealum chuckled.
"It's derived from Latin. It means 'gentleman.'"
Mr Charles stared at him in surprise.
"Really? You don't look gentle at all. You look fierce!"
The audience laughed, and Cealum laughed along with them.
"I'm actually from Rome," he added.
Mr Charles blinked.
"Seriously? I would've guessed you were Chinese."
"I hear that all the time," Cealum replied with a smile that instantly transformed his cold expression into an adorable one.
The crowd couldn't stop admiring the sudden change.
"You're so cute!" a girl shouted from the audience.
Cheers erupted once again.
"I'm eighteen years old. Please take good care of me."
He bowed politely before stepping back into line.
The next member walked forward with a bright smile that made him look as though he had just won the greatest prize of his life.
Before he could even speak, the crowd started chanting.
"NYN! NYN! NYN!"
He laughed into the microphone.
"Hello, everyone. My name is Deamon—"
"NYN!" the audience interrupted again.
He laughed even harder.
"That's actually my TikTok name."
The audience erupted with cheers.
"I'm Korean, I'm eighteen years old, and it's a pleasure to meet you all."
He bowed and returned to his position while the crowd continued chanting his nickname.
Before the final member could introduce himself, the audience was already calling out to him.
"Dancing Machine!"
Max immediately covered his face with both hands, his shyness taking over as the crowd continued cheering.
His warm brown eyes peeked through his fingers.
"Sawasdee," he greeted in Thai with a smile.
"Sawasdee ka!" many fans replied, making everyone laugh.
"My name is Max. I'm half Thai and half Nigerian, and I'm eighteen years old."
He bowed quickly before trying to retreat.
"Dancing Machine!" the crowd shouted again.
Mr Charles smiled.
"So your father is Nigerian and your mother is Thai?"
"Yes, sir," Max replied. "I moved here last year."
The audience applauded warmly as all four members stood together on stage—the very first boy group of Steros Company.
As the cheers continued, Mr Charles raised a hand, signalling for the audience to quiet down.
He turned to the boys with an exaggerated look of panic.
"You all forgot to tell everyone your positions in the group!"
His playful expression made both the audience and the members burst into laughter.
"Alright, let's try that again." He pointed at Simon with a grin.
"Starting with Simon from Alvin and the Chipmunks."
The crowd laughed loudly.
Simon forced himself to laugh along. If only you knew what I was calling you in my head...
"I'm the main vocalist of the group," he said with a smile.
"I'm the main rapper," Cealum said confidently.
"I'm the main visual," Deamon introduced himself proudly.
Max stepped forward.
"I'm the—"
"Dancing Machine!" the crowd shouted before he could finish.
Max laughed shyly and scratched the back of his head.
"No, everyone," he said with a smile. "I'm the main dancer and the lead rapper."
The audience laughed and applauded once again.
Mr Charles stepped to the centre of the stage and looked at the sea of excited fans.
"Then, it is my honour to officially introduce Steros Company's very first boy group!"
The arena exploded with deafening cheers as thousands of fans welcomed the four members to the beginning of their new journey.
