Sometimes life changes without asking for permission
One day you're worrying about assignments and exams
The next day you're worrying about rent groceries and whether your younger sister will be able to stay in school
That was Weiverly Tan Garcia's reality
At twenty years old she was trying to balance college while taking care of her eighteen year old sister Willow after their mother's passing
Money became harder to earn than she had ever imagined
Every application she sent was filled with hope
Every rejection made her question if she could keep going
Then something unexpected happened
Three companies accepted her application on the same day
She smiled for the first time in weeks
But she could only choose one
Knowing she had spent most of her life taking care of Willow she quietly accepted the babysitting job
She packed her bag took a deep breath and prepared herself for her first day
To her it was just another job

The sound of an alarm filled the small apartment
Weiverly slowly reached for her phone and turned it off
She sat up stretched her arms and made her bed before walking to the kitchen
After a few minutes the smell of breakfast spread through the apartment
Willow walked out of her room still looking sleepy

Good morning, Did you sleep well
Willow
You woke up early again
Weiverly
I have an interview today
Willow
You're definitely getting the job
Weiverly smiled while placing breakfast on the table
The sisters ate together while talking about school and college
After eating Weiverly washed the dishes then went back to her room
She changed into a white blouse black slacks and a pair of simple shoes
Weiverly
Yeah I'll be back later
Weiverly
Take care while I'm gone
Willow nodded before locking the door after her sister left
Outside the morning air felt cool as Weiverly walked toward the bus stop with a folded piece of paper in her hand
She looked at the address once then continued walking
Chapter 2 - The meeting
Weiverly stepped off the bus, then checked the address written on the folded paper
She looked around before stopping in front of a large black gate
Taking a deep breath, she pressed the doorbell
A few moments later, the gate slowly opened
A guard approached her with a polite smile

Good morning, Miss Are you Weiverly Tan Garcia?
Guard
Mrs Dela Cruz is expecting you Please, come in
She followed the stone pathway while quietly admiring the large garden
The house was bigger than anything she had ever seen
Before she could knock, the front door opened
A woman with a warm smile welcomed her inside

Yes, ma'am Good morning

Good morning Please, come in
Weiverly politely entered the house and followed Mrs Dela Cruz into the living room

No, dear Jera doesn't need a babysitter
Weiverly slowly looked at Jade

Weiverly blinked twice, unsure if she had heard correctly
Jade finally looked up from her phone

Then why do you need a babysitter?
Jade sighed and rolled her eyes

Jade has a stable job, earns her own money, and is very capable
