Chapter 1 — The Meeting
The Kim and Jeon families had been rivals for generations.
Everyone knew it.
Their names carried power, wealth, influence—and years of resentment.
Tae had grown up hearing one rule more than any other:
Never trust a Jeon.
Jungkook had heard the opposite.
Never trust a Kim.
Neither of them knew that fate had already decided otherwise.
They met without knowing the other's family name.
It was supposed to be an ordinary evening.
It wasn't.
The moment Jungkook saw Tae, his wolf, Kuro, went completely silent.

Jungkook froze.
"What?"
For the first time in his life, Kuro sounded certain about something.Jungkook looked across the room.Tae was standing near the window, quietly talking to someone.He looked beautiful.Not because he was trying to attract attention.Quite the opposite.He looked like he wanted to disappear from the room.Jungkook couldn't stop staring.

"Go to him."

"We don't even know him."

"Then learn."
Jungkook smiled despite himself.
He walked toward Tae.
Tae noticed him approaching and frowned slightly.

"Can I help you?"
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook smiled.
"Maybe."
Jeon Jungkook
"I wanted to meet you."
Kim Taehyung
Tae raised an eyebrow.
"Why?"
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook looked directly into his eyes.
"Because I couldn't stop looking at you."
Kim Taehyung
Tae's cheeks warmed.
"You're bold."
Jeon Jungkook
"I've been told."
Neither knew that this simple conversation would change both their lives.
Neither knew that their families would eventually stand between them.
Neither knew how much pain they would endure.
And neither knew that one day they would sit beneath a peach tree and remember this very first meeting.
For now, there was only one thing Jungkook knew.
He wanted to know Tae.
And Kuro had already made his decision.

Jungkook smiled.
"I won't."
Chapter 2 — The Name They Shouldn't Have Known
Tae tried to ignore Jungkook after that evening.He really did.But Jungkook seemed determined to make that impossible.Every time Tae turned around,Jungkook was somewhere nearby.At first, Tae found it irritating.Then amusing.Then...dangerously comforting.

"Go talk to him."

"I already did."

"Then do it again."

Jungkook laughed quietly.
"You're becoming annoying."

"Because you are slow."

Jungkook shook his head.

He walked toward Tae.
"You're avoiding me."

Tae looked at him.
"I'm not."

"I've just been busy."
Jeon Jungkook
"Then let me help."
Kim Taehyung
Tae stared at him.
"You don't even know me."
Jeon Jungkook
"That's why I'm trying to."
Tae didn't know how to answer that.
There was something about Jungkook that made it difficult to remain cold.He was confident, but never forceful.Persistent, but never disrespectful.And whenever Tae looked into his eyes, he felt something inside him respond.Something that frightened him.

Haneul whispered,
"Mate."
Kim Taehyung
Tae immediately pushed the thought away.
"Don't start."

"I'm not starting anything. I'm telling you what I feel."

Tae looked away.
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook noticed.
"Did I make you uncomfortable?"
Kim Taehyung
Tae shook his head.
"No."
Jeon Jungkook
"Then can I ask you something?"
Jeon Jungkook
"Can I see you again?"
Kim Taehyung
Tae hesitated.
"Maybe."
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook smiled.
"I'll take maybe."
A few days later, Tae finally agreed to meet Jungkook.They walked through a quiet garden.For the first time, they spoke without anyone around them.Tae learned that Jungkook loved music.Jungkook learned that Tae loved quiet places.They argued about food.They laughed over stupid things.And somewhere between those small conversations,something changed.Tae began looking forward to seeing him.That scared him more than anything.Because he knew his family would never accept it if they discovered the truth.
Especially when Tae finally learned Jungkook's full name.

Jungkook noticed immediately.
"What happened?"

Tae stared at him.
"You're a Jeon."
Kim Taehyung
" And am Kim"

Jungkook's expression changed.
"And you're a Kim."
For the first time, neither wolf spoke.
Kuro jk wolf
Then Kuro growled softly.
"Mate."

"He's the one."
Kim Taehyung
Tae stepped back.
"This can't happen."
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook's heart sank.
"Why?"
Kim Taehyung
"You know why."
Jeon Jungkook
"Our families."
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook took a step closer.
"I don't care about their rivalry."
Kim Taehyung
"Because you don't know what they'll do."
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook's voice softened.
"Then we'll face it together."
Kim Taehyung
Tae shook his head.
"You don't understand."
Jeon Jungkook
"Then help me understand."
Kim Taehyung
Tae looked at him for a long moment.
"I can't."
He turned away.Jungkook didn't stop him.He only watched Tae walk away.
Kuro jk wolf
Kuro was unusually quiet.
"Don't give up."
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook clenched his jaw.
"I'm not."
That night, Tae sat alone in his room.

Haneul paced inside him.
"You like him."
Kim Taehyung
Tae closed his eyes.
"I know."

"Then why are you running?"
Kim Taehyung
"Because loving him could destroy everything."

Then softly—
"Maybe loving him is the first thing that's actually yours."
Tae opened his eyes.He had no answer.Because somewhere deep inside, he already knew.Jungkook wasn't the person he was afraid of.It was the world around them.And that world had already begun moving against them.
Chapter 3 — The Choice They Couldn't Make
Tae tried to stay away from Jungkook.For several days, he avoided the places they usually met.He stopped answering his messages.He even asked Suga to cover for him whenever Jungkook came looking.But Jungkook didn't get angry.
That somehow made everything harder.One evening, Tae found Suga sitting quietly in the living room.

Suga looked up.
"Knew what?"
Kim Taehyung
"About Jungkook."
Kim Taehyung
Tae stared at him.
"You knew he was a Jeon?"
Kim Taehyung
"And you didn't tell me to stay away?"
Suga
Suga shrugged.
"Would you have listened?"
Kim Taehyung
Tae couldn't help smiling.
"No."
Kim Taehyung
Tae sat beside him.
"I don't know what I'm doing."
Suga
Suga looked at him carefully.
"You don't have to decide everything today."
Kim Taehyung
"But our family will never accept him."
Kim Taehyung
"And if they find out..."
Suga
Suga's expression softened.
"Then we'll deal with it."
Kim Taehyung
Tae looked at him.
"You really think I should give him a chance?"
Suga
"I think you should decide for yourself."
Kim Taehyung
Tae lowered his gaze.
Suga
Suga continued quietly.
"Not your parents. Not the family. Not the rivalry. You."
Kim Taehyung
Tae didn't answer.
But that night, he finally sent Jungkook one message.
The reply came almost immediately.
They met the next evening.
Jungkook arrived first.When Tae walked toward him, he looked nervous.Jungkook noticed

"You don't have to be afraid of me."
Kim Taehyung
"I'm not afraid of you."
Jeon Jungkook
"Then what?"
Kim Taehyung
Tae looked down.
"Everything else."
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook stepped closer.
"I can't promise our families won't make this difficult."
Kim Taehyung
Tae looked at him.
Jeon Jungkook
" But I can promise you something "
Jeon Jungkook
"I won't force you."
Kim Taehyung
Tae's eyes softened.
"You won't?"
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook smiled.
"If you need time, I'll give you time."
Kim Taehyung
Tae swallowed.
"Why?"
Jeon Jungkook
"Because I want you to choose me."
Those words stayed with Tae.
He looked into Jungkook's eyes.

"And if I don't?"
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook's smile faded slightly.
"Then I'll respect your decision."
Kim Taehyung
Tae's chest tightened.

Haneul whispered inside him.
"He means it."
Kim Taehyung
Tae quietly answered,
"I know."
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook held out his hand.
"Can we start again?"
Kim Taehyung
Tae stared at his hand.
Then slowly placed his own in it.
"Maybe."
Jeon Jungkook
Jungkook smiled.
"Again with the maybe."
Kim Taehyung
Tae laughed softly.
"It's the best I can give you."
Jeon Jungkook
"I'll take it."
For the first time, Tae allowed himself to stay.They talked until late.They didn't make promises.They didn't talk about marriage.They didn't talk about forever.They simply sat together.And for Tae, that was enough.But neither of them knew that their families were already beginning to notice the change.
Tae's parents noticed that their son smiled more.They noticed that he was distracted.And most importantly—they noticed the name he tried so hard not to mention.
Mr. Kim
The moment his father heard it, his expression hardened.
"Stay away from him."
Kim Taehyung
Tae looked up.
"Why?"
Kim Taehyung
"Because he's a Jeon?"
Mr. Kim
"Because they're our enemies."
Kim Taehyung
Tae's voice became quiet.
"He's not."
Mr. Kim
His father stared at him.
"You don't decide that."
Tae clenched his fists.For the first time, he realized something.His family wasn't going to make this easy.And neither was his heart.Because now...he had already begun choosing Jungkook.
