I'm Koharu Matsumoto, currently 14 years old but will soon turn 15. Today is my very first day at highschool.

Normally, every highschool student wishes to come into a relationship or make tons of friends during this time, but I, on the other hand, have no intention of falling in love and to make TONS of friends. I just want to study hard and grab a position among top 3 (To be exact, I'm aiming for #1). I will do my best and prove myself.

I quickly freshen up and dress myself up in my new uniform.

"Hmm... Looks just fine."

After I got ready, I head downstairs for breakfast. I saw my mom serving breakfast on the table, there I saw someone else already sitting there in formal clothing.

'It was none other than my dad'

My father, Kazumi Matsumoto, works as a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in one of the top corporations in Japan. He is the one the I admire the most. I want to become just like my father who worked hard to become what he is now.

My mom and dad, as if noticed my presence, turned around and greeted me with a smile

"Good morning, Koharu!"

I smiled and greeted them back, "Good morning, mom and dad~" Just then, someone came running from upstairs... It was my clumsy little sister.

Her name is Riko Matsumoto. She is 13 years old, 2nd year in middle school. She got her looks from mom, cute and angel like pretty. I got mine from Dad, hehe. Oh yeah, I remember dad telling us on their 10th wedding anniversary that mom used to be the campus bélle back in their days and my dad who was a college prince was head over heels for her. That's how they fell in love and ended up marrying and having us, hehe.

Riko came down and hugged me tightly and with a smile greeted me "Goodmorning, Koh Nee~" I hugged her back. She sometimes is so clingy that I can't help it and just give in. But I care about her the most. After this, happy interaction we finished our breakfast and packed up our stuff and left the house. Mom is also a employee of the same corporation my dad works at so they often go off to business trips together.

After leaving the house, I heard a sweet voice calling me from behind.

"...haru. Koharu~"

That sweet voice belonged to my best friend since Elementary School. Akari Sugawara, 15 years old, fortunately we're going to the same school this year too.

"Goodmorning, Akari~"

She linked her arm around mine and said resolutely,

"Let's make this year memorable and everlasting, Koh. Let's hunt for our fated guy and fall in love."

"Pfft. I wish your FATED GUY good luck. I hope he survive"

I giggled. At my comment, Akari pouted. She is so cute.

"Pfffffff. What are you saying, Koh? He will be the luckiest person to have a beauty like me, Fufu~"

With this hustle and bustle, we headed to the school.

(Nee: is a Japanese noun it means "sister")

On the way, me and Akari came to a halt when we spotted a guy who seemed to be waiting for us. We walked towards him. He flashed a smile at us when he saw us approaching.

He is my childhood friend and without a doubt my best friend, Ichiro Sasaki. We are neighbors and went to the same schools. He is bright and cheerful guy. He gives me older brother vibes.

"G'morning, Kocchan. G'morning, Akari"

He said flashing a bright smile.

'Oh man, it's brighter than my bald uncle's head.. I can't see anything'

"Good morning, Ichi" I replied with a smile.

"Good morning, Ichiro" Akari said.

"We should get going now, we can't afford to be late on our first day, right" He said.

"Yes, let's go!" Replied me and Akari in unison.

We reached the school and not to much surprise, we three were again classmates.

'Phew... Highschool life here I come! Just watch me top the whole grade!'

Just when I was having this thought, Ichi said to me..

"Oi, You must be all excited to become a model student, aren't ya."

"Of course, I do, hehe" I replied.

Just then, sensei came into the class. Everyone got settled in their seats.

"Good morning, everyone. I'm Seiichi Ohara, your homeroom teacher. I will be teaching you Math. Pleased to meet you all."

"Now, please introduce yourselves"

'So, he is our teacher... You have to do your best, Koharu'

Everyone started introducing themselves. Amongst them, the one who caught my eye was Haruki Fujihara. He stood out the most in class second to Ichiro. He had a handsome features and almost every girl in the class had a crush on him. He sat next to me on left side. But what caught my eye was not his "handsome features" but his last name "Fujihara". The corporation my father works in is called "Fujihara Corps." It maybe coincidence though. But he seem so uninterested in studying or maybe he is a loner (?) ...

'Whatever, all I need to do is study well. Just stay away from these ikemen, Koharu'

Just like this, first day came to end.

'I should review what I studied today when I get back home and maybe I should prepare next chapters beforehand. So, during exams I can go through the notes.'

With this organized plan in mind, I pack my stuff and got out of my seat to leave, just then I bumped into Haruki. I decided to apologise to him for not looking where I was going.

"I'm sor..." Before I could finish my sentence he left.

'Omg! what a brat! Well, whatever swearing at him would be a waste of time I should invest this time on studying, hehe'

I left the class with my best friends and started studying when I got back home.
