Caleb was my first boyfriend, first love, first everything.

I have been with him for 9 years.

We met in high school when we were in grade 7, we were

seatmates.

Someone tapped my shoulder while I was writing. I turned my

head from the side noticing a boy smiling “Hi, can we be friends? My name’s

Grayson Caleb Scott” he asked *he held his right hand to shake hands with her*

“Yes, my name’s Isla Piper Ford I accept his hands for a

handshake. Can I call you Caleb? You can call me Piper” I cheerfully said.

Caleb nodded and they talk in the meantime to kill time.

We started as best

friends.

“Caleb\, dude your drink *I walked towards him*\,” I said then

tossed him the bottle. Caleb noticed her while he was wiping his sweat.

“Thanks\, Piper *he smiled to me*”

Afterward, he confessed his love to me when we were in grade 11. It was our prom day.

“Piper, I don’t want to be your friend anymore.” He

seriously said while we were staring at the stars. We decided that we hang out here

on the rooftop, we got bored dancing in the gym. I immediately turned my head

and stood in front of him.

“What do you mean?” I asked

“*he stood up* I said I don’t want to be your friend

anymore. I want our relationship to be more than friends. I don’t want our

relationship just to be friends or like siblings. I like you no, I love you.

I’ve loved you since I first lay my eyes on you. You're different from other

girls. Your bold, boyish, strong, fierce, straight-forward, caring, and lovely.

You are not arrogant like other girls are, you were unique. You, take care of

me so much. That’s why I love you. Can I court you?” he said

He didn’t cope with his words he left so he sat again where we

sat a while ago. Then he buried his face in his hands hiding his red face.

“*I giggled*”

He removed his hands and stood up again. “Why are you

laughing?” Caleb questions me.

“*I sighed* so we were feeling the same thing for all the

years we’ve been together. You asked if you want to court me. My answer is yes.

Can you wait for my answer to being your girlfriend?”

I saw him nodded surprisingly. I gave him a kiss on the

cheeks then walked to the door. Caleb was dazed when I kissed him.

“Caleb, let’s go. You will take me home, right?” I shouted.

Then he recovered and ran towards me.

While walking down the stairs and to his car we're holding hands. And in his case, he's blushing didn't disappear from his face. I just kept laughing at him.

When I got to my house, I gave him a smack on his lips. And now his face is as red as a tomato.

 I let him court and date me for a year he was not in a hurry for my answer because we were still

young at that time. He was patient that what's I like about him. Caleb was not weak to give-up if he wants something, he does everything to be patient about it. He was caring and over-protective as in super over-protecting. I don’t know how many fights did he have when he was protecting me from perverts and annoying guys pestering me.

“Does assholes they pestered you again. I’m gonna broke their bones if they pestered you again.” He pissed said “Ouch *he hissed* Piper. Gentle please.”

I put more betadine on the cotton buds that I rubbed on his black eye.

“Don’t be pissed by those idiots. And you already broke their bones a while ago. Don’t always fight your handsomeness is going to be less if you always fight.”

We both laugh at what I said

 Then after our graduation. Our classmates and friends made a graduation party.

“Yes, we finally graduated.” He shouted at everyone who was partying. Everyone was screaming because of happiness. We graduated.

I was drinking while Caleb was glancing at me seeing what was I doing. I was gathering all my courage and stood up and go to Caleb who was talking to our other friends. I made a scene in front of our friends. Our friends were shocked and some people saw and we’re cheering for what I did. I got to hold his head and brought our lips closer. He responded to my kiss. Seeing his surprised face was something. Then I removed my hold in his head

“Caleb, you waited for a year. And my answer is yes. I’ll be your girlfriend.” I said

“Really. I’ll be good to you *he hugged me tightly*” people were congratulating us.

 Are college life was really intense we were busy most of the time, some of the time we managed to date and rest to relieve our stress.

“Wife, are your class done? Let’s date if you’re still tired maybe next time,” he asked me

“Hubby, I miss dating you. Let’s go.”

He calls me wife or wifey. And I call him hubby. At first, it was weird he called me wife but I instantly got used to it.

On our dates, he brings me to different places like beaches, valleys, oceans, flower farms, and other more. He also brings me to different restaurants like on our first date he brought me to a Japanese restaurant, on our second date a French one, and the third was an Italian restaurant. The rest of our other dates was history. If he already brought me to a restaurant we once ate, he will think about where should we eat next. If he can’t think of other restaurants like one time, he decorated his apartment with candles and petals of flowers that were circling the table. And we already have a romantic date in his apartment. It was simple but full of love

We lived together since college. Our life in the house was not a mess, we were in harmony.

“Hubby\, where did you put my keys? *I asked of him while finding it*”

“Wife, It’s near the tv.” He said.

“Oh\, thanks\, hubby. I’ll be going now *I waved goodbye*”

I was about to go to my car but he ran to me. Holding my paper works with him.

“Wife, you forgot your files, here. Do you want me to fetch after your work?” he asked then he gave me my files. I get my files in his hands.

“Hubby, thank you for this but you have work, today don’t you? It’s okay I can go home by myself.” I smiled

“No, I’ll be fetching you after your work. Yes, I do have work but if it’s you I’ll stop it. And besides my boss said I can get a day off. So, the whole day I can be with you.”

So stubborn

“Haha, okay fine. I’ll wait for you.” I kiss his cheeks before riding the car. He waved at me and entered our home again.

Sometimes I can be really moody but he tolerates it. He doesn’t get angry if I’m angry he even makes me happy.

“Hubby, I’m so busy so can you just don’t bother me. I need to finish all of this. So, don’t be a bother” I annoyedly said

I saw how his bright face becomes sad. He let go of my shoulders that his shaking. And go to the door then left. I felt guilty about what I said. It was already an hour he still didn’t come back. I worried it was already raining then immediately ran to the door. I was attempting to find him.

But I saw him opening the gates wet and he had a plastic bag with him. He noticed me, he smiled brightly. I on the other hand ran towards him then hug him. I apologized to him for what I said a while ago.

We entered our house I was surprised that he buys milk tea and chocolate cake my favorite. He said he wanted me to be happy so he bought it.

“Wife, I know your stress. But always remember to be happy. It’s okay if your moody or throwing tantrums at me at least it can lessen your stress.” He said while I was drying his hair that was wet a while ago.

“Hubby, thank you”

I said then we kiss.

We don’t usually fight we just fight if one of us we’re late in our date or if one of us is worried when we can’t text or call.

I was sitting on the couch when he kneeled in front of me.

“Wife, I’m sorry. I skipped our date and didn’t call nor text you. I won’t do it again. Please forgive me. Our boss invited us to drink I couldn’t say no.” He regretfully said.

I stood and reached for his hands and stood him. I caress his cheeks.

“Don’t do it again. You know I was really worried about what happened to you.”

He hugged me and apologized again.

It was really something when we stay strong for nine years, he didn’t get bored with me. I thought so, I really thought he won’t get bored.
