Kane,a girl expected with love but welcomed with resentment. Kane was now five years but full of bruises all over her body. Did such a young girl really deserve to be persecuted by her own parents?.Her mother hated Kane so much that whenever she appeared in front her she would be disgusted. "Mommy why do hate me so much?",the young girl said to her mother with fright. The mother disdained Kane and beat her with no mercy. All Kane could do was cry and be helpless, wishing if maybe she was an orphan she would have lived a better life.

A few years later, Kane was now eleven years old,an age of which every child was enjoying going to school as they enjoyed their juniority.But on the other hand it was different for Kane,she just looked at children her age go and come back from school as they isolated her.She had no friends,no good basic needs any child would need. Her mother had fallen sick with terminal illness but still she didn't abandon the mother that hated and tortured her all through her childhood days. Since they couldn't afford the medical expenses,she just watched her mother getting weak as days went by.

"Come here Kane,"Her mother said in a debilitated voice. "What does she want? Does she feel remorseful for what she has been doing to me?,"numerous questions running through her head but with no response. She walked with heavy steps and with fear towards her mother's bed. "Go look for your dad,I don't think I can make it through the night"she said as she handed Kane a piece of paper. Kane was hesitant to talk back at her weak mother but still she wanted to confirm something before her mother kicked the bucket.

"Did you ever love me?,Why did you torture me through out my life?,What did I do that made you hate me so much?,Did you regret scourging me even once?",Kane asked her mother in a breaking voice. Her mother smirked and said,"You deserve what you got Kane you have no-one to blame.If not for you we would not have lived this kind of life,you were the curse in our lives and I am glad I can get rid of you even if it's by death cause I won't be seeing your disgusting face anymore." She said as she took her last breath.

Kane screamed in pain,not because she just lost her mother but because she had a mother like her. "Till the end she didn't love me even a little bit,she still regarded me as a curse,"She cried in pain. What did she do to deserve this kind of mother.Poor Kane sat and thought of who would help her bury that mother who hated and despised her so much. "Why should I think of her when she never thought of me?,"Kane said in anger as she packed her things. "You may as well rot and burn to ashes,"Kane said as she poured kerosene and lit their house on fire.

Kane decided to look for her father expecting her father loved her or was better than her mother....!😵

What will happen if she finds her father?Will her father accept her willingly?.What will her father's reaction be once he sees Kane at his doorstep??........!!!!!🤔

"Is my dad any better than my mother?,why did he abandon my mother?Is it okay to go find him?Will he be glad that I came to find him?,"Kane asked herself these questions and waited to find her answers once she found her father. She walked through the day and night cause she didn't have enough money for transportation to the city her father stayed.Despite being fatigued and famished she didn't give up finding her father. Kane had a slight ray of hope that maybe her father left her mother because her mother was that kind of a person.

After walking two days and one night she finally reached her destination but she was hesitating to enter that house. "Why would my dad live a lavish life while we struggled so much,does he have another family,is that why he felt us?" lots of questions running through her mind as she sat across the street opposite her father's house.She waited for a long time as she stared at that house that belonged to her father. Tears rolled down her cheeks,maybe because she was in so much pain, but her tears weren't warm anymore.

As she waited for the sun to rise,she saw a child younger than her come out laughing with a man and a woman linking their hands together. "Is that my dad?,who is that woman?why are they so happy?,will he accept me happily if I appear in front of him?"she thought to herself in anger and hatred. She was still shilly-shally about appearing in front of her dad,she was afraid of being hated and despised again. So she sat in front of their gate hoping maybe he was going to notice her,but as the gate opened she heard that woman saying to her father,"Honey there is a beggar at our doorstep,do something about it,or else it may block our way to success." "Soldier get rid of that obstacle in front of our gate,"said her father.

Poor Kane couldn't believe that her father wasn't any better than her evil mother,but she still convinced herself "maybe it's because he doesn't know I am his daughter." Having hopes that maybe if he knew her identity he would not look down upon her. Kane waited for days without food or water,but that family of three never came back till the next evening. Kane had fallen asleep at their doorstep while waiting,was this really fair for the young Kane??

At daybreak,her father got out alone while Kane followed him like shadow.She walked on the same path her father left footsteps but she still was invisible to her father.As she observed her father she felt slightly happy that she is also like every other child,she had a father.Finally she approached her father and tapped his shoulder,as he turned around,Kane smiled......!!

What will happen now that she has approached her father??What's the fate of Kane?? Will she be disheartened or pleased??...........🤔

***Scared,nervous and anxious,waiting to see her father's reaction once she told him her identity,Kane felt all these emotions just to get disappointed. "Who are you?,I have no money to give you,"her father said to her as he turned. "These beggars are bugging me everywhere,"he sighed in anger as he walked away. "But I am not a beggar,I am Stella's daughter,"she screamed desperately. Her father turned around shocked, "Whose daughter did you say you are?" Kane repeated herself but her father's reaction wasn't what she expected. "Dad it's me Kane,"she said.

He took steps backwards as if he was running away from Kane,"Stay away from me,"he said with anger.Kane didn't know how exactly she was supposed to feel after she saw her father's face.Having mixed feelings she didn't know whether to cry or be sad. "Since you have no where to go let's go to my place,"her father said to her. She was startled that those words came from her father's mouth. "Maybe he is not that bad,"she thought to herself. They walked together heading towards her father's place,she was nervous but excited that she was finally going to live with her father.

"How are they going to treat me?,will they like me? Will they mistreat me because I am an outcast?"Kane couldn't stop thinking about what was going to happen to her when she reached that house. Lost in her thoughts she reached her father's house without noticing ,"Hurry up,I have no time for you.My daughter is waiting for me inside,"her father said it recklessly without minding the fact Kane was also his daughter. Kane was finally sure of where she ranked in her father's heart,she was now aware of her place in that house.

"Honey,who is this?"said a woman who was elegantly dressed as she walked down the stairs. "Hmmmmmm...........she is the new maid,"he hesitated. "She looked like she had no place to go I decided to take her in,"he continued. "How could he rank me as their maid? Is he embarrassed to accept me as his daughter? Kane had lots of depressing questions running through her mind that made her heart ache as she thought about them.

"Hey go help Kate(her step-sister)bathe,"that woman said to Kane in a commanding voice.Was this fair for Kane she had to take care of a girl almost her age,prepare her to go to school and do everything for her.She felt so wronged,but had to bear with it because she had nowhere to go. Kane had no-one to turn to when she was experiencing so much in that house,she wished that she never went looking for her father if her life was going to be this difficult. Yet she wanted to gain something from her father even if her life was difficult.It was now time for her father to return home from work,Kane waited for him at the gate.

As her father approached the gate she ran and stood in front of the car, "Are you mad? do you want to get killed?,"her father said in anger. "As a father isn't he supposed to think about how I would get injured if he knocked me with his car?,"Kane thought to herself in resentment. That was when Kane realized she had to benefit from all the mistreatment she was receiving.

"Take me to school,"Kane said to her father."Why should I do that to someone like you?",He responded in a sarcastic way. "If you don't I will go tell your happy family that I am your daughter from another wife,"she said in a threatening voice.

What response will her father give her?Will she finally be able to go school like every other child?.....
