...“Maddie wake up!” Dad said Maddie got up she quickly looked at her dad she groaned “w-what time is it?” Maddie said dad looked at her upset “it’s 5:00 AM you’ll be late for the bus to your school.” Maddie jumped up quickly she looked at her timer “crap!” She said Maddie looked at the mirror she had slightly red hair following with silver hair and blue water like eyes ....

...Maddie quickly took out a pair of clothes she quickly pushed her dad out when she was alone she quickly had put the clothes on she looked down and noticed the small necklace her necklace or at least her diseased mothers she quickly grabbed it and had put ...

...A few minutes later...

... Maddie had arrived at the bus stop where the she would be picked up she quickly entered the bus many people had been there some with strange new features on their bodies like wings and some with horns, some with really pink skin Maddie quickly chose her seat and sat down....

...The bus started to move each town it moved too had filled the bus with few people Maddie looked out the window....

... “Maddie! Maddie!” Maddie got up quickly she turned around and saw her mom she had looked a bit like Maddie but older Maddie quickly hugged her mom “mommy!” Maddie said smiling “Maddison me and your father got big news!” Her mom said Maddie smiled “what is it momma?” Her mom grabbed maddies hand placing it on her stomach “your going to be a sister!” Maddie looked at her mom wowed Maddie jumped around happily....

... Back to present time...

...That moment in maddies life was the last happy day then came her brothers birth she had died giving birth to him but her sacrifice had been in vain as her brother hated himself that’s why before Maddie left she had asked her dad to send her brother to visit her from time to time....

Maddie grabbed out her phone she quickly unlocked it scrolling through her contacts then through her media’s then her games she quickly turned it off and it had put her phone back into her pocket.

One week later

Maddie looked at her locker she sighed as the locker had old writing that might be even older then her she quickly opened it the locker had looked better then the door she quickly stuffed her stuff inside and walked off to class one thing I learned about this school is that there’s not specific age to go here there’s a part of school for every age from one to 30 but high schoolers and middle schoolers stay in the same classroom.

Maddie got to the classroom she had quickly grabbed a seat a male teacher walked in his face had looked like he was tired he had long black hair with grayish eyes “hello everyone I’m Micah your teacher.” He said he grabbed attendance paper and started calling out names alphabetically.

“Maddison Elm!” He said Maddie stood up “I’m here sir.” Maddie sat back down immediately Ivan nodded he had put away the attendance paper and looked at everyone “so can someone start by telling me your power or powers?” Maddie got back up sighing “I’ll start first I guess my power is elemental manipulation and creation.” She said he smiled “can you demenstrate?” He said Maddie nodded she lifted her hand a blue flame appeared Ivan nodded Maddie sat down.

A hour later

Everyone looked at Maddie strangely the females wanted to be her and the males wanted to be with her Maddie looked up at a tv pretending to not to noticed them the tv was switched to the news channel “Today we report another severely injured vigilant has been found it appears someone with a heat powers burned him but the NOPD would like to announce something.” The tv immediately switched to the chief of police “the severely vigilante is victor Thorne due to vilgilantism being illegal he won’t be facing charges but instead he wont be eligible to get the polices help if he continues... but we all would like to remind you that vigilantism is illegal anyone recognizeable ever commuting vigilantism won’t be protected by the law.” Everyone started whispering Maddie looked at the tv shocked a tear rolled down her face.

Maddie got up she quickly packed up her stuff but stopped to listen for more information but she was unlucky luckily for her though she’s been to this town when she was little she had know what hospital he would be in.

A few minutes later

Maddie had gotten through the security as they recognized her she entered victors room he had been laying down half way burned victor looked at the door shocked to see Maddie, Maddie quickly pulled a seat next to him she sat next to him “you idiot what were you thinking!” She said Victor frowned “I-I’m sorry Maddie... I just had to help I couldn’t just sit there and watch someone get killed.” He said maddie got up angrily “so you were going to leave me alone?!” She said crying “no.... I’m sorry it won’t happen again.” He said Maddie looked at him still angered “your power isn’t even that strong to be doing this you idiot you only have one life and a medium grade healing factor it can’t protect you from lost limbs like high grade healing factor you idiot!” She said.

Victor looked down his arm was burned entirely his body kept trying to heal but failed turning into ash each time “fine I’ll stop but because I don’t want to leave you.. and your not alone you have your baby brother..” he said Maddie looked down “I know but I mean... your the only person I love love my brother it’s a sibling love but you it’s like if you die I would lose apart of me.” She said victor smiled “thanks I think I will get better.... anyway I forgot to ask how’s your brother doing?” Victor said Maddie frowned “for a 3 year old he could hold a lot of resentment for himself... he blames himself for our moms death.... dad and me have no clue of what to do we tried explaining it wasn’t his fault for his abilities to have activated so early.... and how do you explain it was our mothers fault she was the one who took ability enhancers when she was pregnant?!” Maddie said..

She frowned victor caressed her face “don’t worry... you should try getting him to your place let him stay with you for a while show him it wasn’t his fault tell him that you still love him and if he tries to think of a way to make you hate him don’t give out so easily love him no matter what.” Victor said Maddie nodded she smiled.

Maddie looked across the room she had been cooking as today was the day her brother would come and stay over she took off her oven mits she then quickly walked over to the door unlocking it once she opened it she saw her little brother he had short silver hair his eyes were a dark blue color following with circles around his eyes showing that he hasn’t slept well he also had a small backpack he looked up at his sister Maddie looked around but her dad was not in sight “where dad thomas?” She said.

He looked down “he said he had some things to do so he headed back quickly but not before telling me to give you this.” He said pulling out a filled piece of paper and handing it to Maddie she quickly moved aside “ your room is next to my room you can recognize it by the doors color sign... it’s your favorite color if you need help just ask okay.” She said Thomas nodded he slowly walked to the room maddie waited until he was gone she opened the letter.

I’m going to try and explain this you know me not very good at letters..... Maddie I’m afraid to say that for the foreseeable future i will lose all contact with you and your brother I know this seems sudden and this might even be a bad choice that I might regret but I can’t do it looking at him.... all I see is your mom he looks so much like her I can’t risk hurting you guys again so yeah please don’t try to find me I have already made the arrangements for you to become the legal guardian of your brother tell him I love him and that neither his mothers death nor me leaving is his fault..

Maddie re fold the paper she quickly stuffed it into her pocket she had felt strange but she knows it isn’t sorrow she felt a bit sad of course but there was a opposite feeling she ignored it and went back to her cooking.

A few minutes later

Maddie sat at a table along with her brother he had a frown on his face Maddie looked at him confused “what’s wrong Thomas?” She said he took out a small iPod that was given to him by their dad tears started to fall down his eyes “I can’t get it to work?” He said Maddie grabbed the device looking at it from every angle but no damage she tried turning it on but nothing she looked over at him “I’ll buy you a new one.” She said he shook his head “I don’t want a new one.” He said Maddie looked at him a bit annoyed ‘kids these days are spoiled but Thomas is different.’

Maddie remember something the reason he didn’t want a new one the songs on the iPod were all song by their mom.

Time to explain their parents power

My moms power was a emitter type power she was able to blast beams of fire while my dads power was ice control and creation I have a mutation of his power he calls mine elemental Thomas power is more complicated than mines our dads and ours moms power he’s able to combust rays of fire imagine his power activating early on while our moms pregnant with him.... yeah pretty gruesome she was (freezer) burned from the inside out.

Maddie sighed “luckily I have a computer I can take out the chip and download the songs so you can listen on the computer.” She said Thomas smiled he nodded.
