In 2019, Aarav at the age of 8, he came with the marksheet to show to his father Pradap.

Aarav asks his father "Dad, Look I got first rank"

Pradap said "That's my boy. What do you want as a present?"

"Dad, I want to watch the Avengers End Game movie. My friends have already seen the movie. I want to watch it too."

Aarav's Mom Latha said "Dinner is ready"

Pradap lifted his son Aarav said "Let's have dinner first"

At the dining hall, Aarav tugged his father shirt and asked "about movie"

"Let's go movie after dinner"

Aarav smiled and said "okay"

After the movie, they came out of theatre Aarav pointed out a girl crying for iron man's dead "Mom, look at that sister she is crying for iron man's dead"

Piyush pinched Aarohi's cheek "you are really something" (characters from my previous book Live in relationship)

Aarav looked at them and laughed, Aarav's mom pinched Aarav's ear and "Enough looking at them Let's go home"

Aarav's family returned home from the theatre in a two wheeler scooter and at the same time the car came in that way and hit them.

Aarav's Mom died at the spot. The person who hit them took them to the hospital. Aarav's father died after the two days of the accident. Aarav was in a coma for 1 month.

Aarav's relatives don't want to take responsibility for him. They decided to send to Orphanage. Venkat paid the whole bill of the hospital and discharged him and decided to take Aarav to his house.

Venkat brings Aarav to his house. Venkat said to Aarav "Aarav, This will be your family from now on"

Aarav asked "Why do you want to help me? When my relatives don't want to take me in but you do?"

Venkat said "because I owe your parents"

Prajakta same age as Aarav, came to her father Venkat "Dad, who is this boy?"

Venkat said "He is your brother"

Prajakta said with a sullen face "I already have a brother and he always fights with me. I don't want another brother"

Venkat kneeled down to face his daughter and asked "How about friend?"

Prajakta replied with big smile "Friend is okay"

Venkat showed the room to Aarav of his first son Varun who is 3 years older than Aarav and said "Varun, from now on you will be sharing your room with Aarav"

Varun replied "Dad, this is not fair"

Venkat said "I will get you laptop if you share your room with Aarav"

Varun replied "Fine"

Aarav placed his bag aside and sat in the corner of the bed. Varun said to Aarav "You have to behave as I say. If I don't like you, I will you kick out of my room"

Prajakta mom Sheela said "you can give a separate room for Aarav. It will be difficult for Aarav and Varun"

Venkat said "I don't want him to be alone. I hope they get along well"

Prajakta hold Aarav's hand "Come, let's play"

Aarav just followed Prajakta "I am Prajakta. What is your name?"

Aarav was being quiet and didn't utter a word. Prajakta said "you won't talk to me then I will start crying"

Prajakta made a sound of crying. The small boy replied "Aarav"

Prajakta stopped crying and asked "Aarav"

"My name. It's Aarav"

Prajakta asked "where are your parents?"

Aarav pointed to the sky. Prajakta said "you mean they became stars in the sky"

Tears falling in the Aarav's eyes. Prajakta held Aarav's palm. Remove the tears and said "I will be there for you so don't cry."

Aarav lifts his face to look at Prajakta for the first time and thinks "Life begins when a person starts breathing but it stops for me when my parents left me alone in this world. I started to breathe again after I met her. My heart is willing to beat for her again. At that moment I would not want to blame myself for my parent's death. I don't want to feel guilty or alone. I don't want to remember anything but her Prajakta"

Venkat gets admission for Aarav at the same school as Prajakta and Varun. Aarav got into the same class as Prajakta. Class room teacher informed "New student to transfer into this class. Be friendly with him."

Aarav introduced himself to the other students in the class "Hi, I am Aarav. Let's get along well"

Aarav looked at Prajakta smiling at him. He got to his seat in the last row.

At interval, Prajakta sat next to Aarav and gave him Chocolate. "I am very happy. You will be studying same class as mine"

Prajakta sat diagonally to Aarav in the class. Aarav is not ready to mingle with anyone. He is quiet and alone.

At lunch, Aarav was sitting alone to have lunch. Prajakta usually has lunch with her friends when he sees he is sitting alone. Prajakta pulled Aarav to sit with her friends to have lunch.

Prajakta's friend Payal asked pointing at Aarav's and my lunch "How come you both have the same lunch?"

Prajakta said "Aarav is staying in my house. My father bought him home for me"

Aarav looked at Prajakta and other friends quersously said "For you"

Before Prajakta said anything awkward. Aarav said "I am her cousin"

Venkat picks up his children from school. Varun and Aarav don't get along. Venkat asked "Aarav, how was your first day at school?"

Aarav said in low voice "It's good uncle"

Prajakta said "Dad, Aarav got same class as mine"

Venkat said "That's really good to hear"

Varun asked "When will he leave our home?"

Venkat said "You like it or not. He will be staying with us from now on."

Varun said "I don't want him to be in my room"

Prajakta said "Dad, Aarav can share with my room"

Venkat said "Aarav, don't listen to Varun. I will get you a separate room for you"

Varun asked "Dad, when you are buying me a laptop?"

Venkat said "I will think about it, when you get first rank"

Prajakta mocked Varun "He will not get more than 70 percentage"

Varun said "If I got more than 70 percent. Can you get me a laptop?"

Venkat said "More than 80 percent"

Prajakta asked "Aarav, how much percentage you will get in your exams?"

Aarav said "Above 80 percentage"

Prajakta raised her hand to give high five to Aarav "me too". Aarav lifted his hand and Prajakta slapped the palms of Aarav's with one's own.

After the exam, Aarav got 1st rank in the class. Prajakta got 78 percent and Aarav got 98 percent.

Prajakta went to Aarav and said with the sullen face "Did you said above 80 you actually got 98 percentage"

Aarav said "I didn't lie, I actually got above 80. You got 78. The person who lied is you but I am not angry at you". He got up from his place and left outside of the classroom

Prajakta called "Aarav, I didn't finish yet. Wait, I need to talk"

At home, Prajakta went slowly with the marksheet first "Dad, I need your signature"

Venkat signed right away saying "Not bad. Still you need to improve your marks"

Prajakta nods her head "Yes Dad"

Venkat asked "Varun, where is your marksheet?"

Varun muttered to Prajakta "How much Aarav got?"

Prajakta replied "See it yourself. I already got signed in my marksheet and I am leaving to my room"

Venkat asked "What are you both talking about? Where is your marksheet?"

Varun took his marksheet out of his bag and gave to his father "65 percent. Don't you ever think about the laptop." and signed his marksheet. "Where is Aarav?"

Varun replied "He will be probably in his room"

"Ask him to come with the marksheet. I will sign it"

Aarav went to Venkat with the marksheet. Venkat asked "Why don't you get a sign in the marksheet?"

"I am worried. You will scold"

"Don't worry, I will not scold you whatever mark you got" Venkat got a marksheet from Aarav's hand.

"Not me, Varun and Prajakta" when Venkat looked at the marksheet. He is surprised to see 98 percent.

Venkat said "I will not scold them nor compare them with you for your sake."

Aarav smiled "Thanks uncle"

Venkat said to Sheela "Aarav is very considerate"

Sheela said "I know, he helps me in the kitchen too. But Varun he don't like him"

Venkat replied "They will resolve their problems on their own"

Prajakta peeped into Varun's room to ask Aarav to play with her. She sat on the bed and heard the sound of crack. She stood up and found a PlayStation joystick of Varun's. Her eyebrows lowered and pulled closer together and lips tightened and curled inwards and the corner of her mouth pointed downwards.

Varun came to his room and found a broken joystick in Prajakta's hand. Varun took a joystick from her hand "Why are you here?"

She said in a trembling voice "I am looking for Aarav. I accidentally sat on the joystick"

Varun pushed her down. She fell to the ground.

Aarav came to the room and asked "What are you doing? She is your sister"

Varun grabbed Aarav's collar. "Exactly, she is my sister. Don't come between us. If you didn't come here, I would be so happy. "

Prajakta held Varun's hand and said to Varun "What are you doing? I broke the joystick."

Varun looked at her "But you came here looking for him. Is that reason enough?"

Prajakta said "I am gonna call mother" and rushed to the kitchen to call her mother.

"Mom, Varun is fighting with Aarav"

Sheela came to Varun's room with Prajakta "Varun, take your hands off from his collar"

Varun said "Mom, Because of him. Prajakta broke my joystick"

Sheela said "I will buy you a new one. Now apologise to him for what you have done?"

"Mom, Why should I apologise? Why is he here? I don't want share my room with stranger"

Aarav looked down to the floor "Aunty, I will leave this house"

Sheela kneeled down to Aarav "You are not going anywhere."

Prajakta said "Mom, I will share my room with Aarav"

Sheela smiled "Look, Prajakta likes you. Don't bother about Varun. You can stay in Prajakta's room." she looked at Prajakta "Take Aarav to your room"

After Prajakta and Aarav left, Sheela warned Varun "Behave yourself. Why are you always picking on him? I want you to accept him as your brother."

Varun said "I don't need any brother"

Sheela kneeled to look at his face "Varun, He lost his parents. Why do you make him worry?"

Varun said "There are so many people outside without parents, why do you make a big fuss about him?"

Sheela said "You are grounded until you apologise to Aarav"

In Prajakta's room, Aarav and Prajakta sat on the bed and talked to each other. Prajakta said "Don't mind Varun, he is always like that"

Sheela came to Prajakta's room "Go to bed. Tomorrow you have to go to School" she turned off lights

At midnight, Aarav started talking in his sleep in the bed "Maa, Paa, don't leave me. Maa, stay by my side. Maa.. Maa…"

Prajakta wakes up at the sound of him and switches on the bedside lamp. She saw Aarav call his mom in his sleep. Prajakta placed her hand on the left side of his cheeks "Aarav…"

Aarav held her hand and brought it between the pillow and right side of his cheeks "Maa.. Don't leave me alone"

Prajakta looked at him. He mumbled "Maa.. I miss you" and slept. Prajakta's eyes grew heavy and closed her eyes and slept.
