Chapter 1:

- Meeting Tutankhamen

Kaede: *places offerings*

Tutankhamen: *appears in front of Kaede* Greetings, Kaede. I am the great king Tutankhamen. It’s time for your very first journey. I need you to save the worlds of Earth, Auldrant, Aselia, and Zalula from the Hyskos. They’ve scattered my treasures around the worlds.

Kaede: I accept your requests, but I can’t do them alone.

Tutankhamen: Don’t worry, you’ll find a party. *fades away and leaves a ring for Kaede*

Kaede: *grabs the ring* Your majesty, what is this?

Tutankhamen: It’s my Divine Ring. It will allow me to channel my power along with the power of the Egyptian gods. Please accept this ring as a gift.  It might control you.

Kaede: *puts on the ring*

Tutankhamen: Kaede, can you hear me?

Kaede: I hear you, your majesty.

Tutankhamen: Good. When you’ve gathered up a party, come to my tomb.

Kaede: I will…

- Exsphere Monster!

Kaede: *walks out of her apartment and hears a scream* What the? *looks around and sees damage* What’s going on?! *runs out of the breezeway and sees the news team*

Cop: Young lady, watch out!

Monster: *grabs Kaede from behind*

Kaede: Aaaaah! Let me go! *pulls out a rusty machete and stabs the monster*

Monster: *lets go of Kaede and backs up*

Kaede: *turns around and points knife at the monster* Stay back! What the Duat are you?!

Kratos: *runs in front of Kaede, pulls out his sword and attacks the monster*

Monster: *falls and gets back up*

Cop: *pulls out a gun and shoots the monster in the head*

Monster: *dies*

Kratos: *looks closely at the monster and takes the exsphere* An exsphere…

Kaede: *surprised with shock* Dear Gods… *looks around and sees the camera pointing at her and Kratos* Eh?

Lisa: *sobbing* I can’t believe that monster came in and destroyed parts of the neighborhood!

Anchorwoman: *holds microphone up to Kaede* We would like the people who attempted to save the neighborhood to speak.

Kaede: *nervous enough to blush* Well, um… My name is Kaede Ennead and I was taking a walk around my neighborhood until I heard people screaming. I went to see what was happening, then this huge monster grabbed me from behind and I stabbed it with my rusty machete. When I turned around, I saw this hideous thing! I got so scared I backed up! *looks at Kratos* Then this mysterious man came to the rescue.

Anchorwoman: *holds microphone up to Kratos* What was happening from your prospective, sir?

Kratos: My name’s Kratos Aurion. I was also taking a walk in this lovely place until I heard what was going on. I knew I had to do something when I saw this young lady get attacked by that monster. I just had to help her because she seems defenseless against such a monstrosity.

Lisa: *coming up to Kratos* Thank you so much for saving Kaede’s life and for attempting to save the neighborhood.

Kratos: Oh. It wasn’t just me who attempted, it was also Kaede who attempted to save the neighborhood and the man who killed the monster.

Cop: *blushes* It’s my duty as a police man to protect civilians and to keep order. I’m glad that you came to help and the lady could defend herself.

Kratos: *holds the exsphere to the camera* This is an exsphere. *explains what an exsphere is and does and how his wife Anna died the same way as the monster*

Lisa: *to the cop* I’m so glad that you, Kaede and Kratos stopped that monster.

*sirens from ambulances*

Cop: Oh, here come the ambulances.

Lisa: *sobs*

Kratos: *puts his hand on Lisa’s shoulder* Don’t worry ma’am. This place should eventually get fixed up.

Kaede: *gets teary-eyed* All those neighbors…

Kratos: *taps Kaede’s shoulder* Kaede, we need to talk.

Kaede: *dries her tears and blushes* Is this going to be a private conversation?

Kratos: I suggest we talk in a place where we won’t be disturbed.

Kaede: How about the laundry mat? I think it’s one of the quietest places in the neighborhood.

Kratos: *to everyone else* Alright. Kaede and I will have a talk in the laundry mat. I’ll be sure to take her home afterwards.

-The Chat with Kratos

Kaede: Okay, Kratos. How’d that strange monster get into my neighborhood?

Kratos: There must be a Desian ranch or something like that near by. *gives Kaede the exsphere* Exspheres are made from human lives. The monster we encountered must have been a victim of exsphere research.

Kaede: But this is pretty. *looks at the exsphere* Why would they turn a human life into such a thing?

Kratos: It’s what the Desians did to humans.

Kaede: *curious* What’s a Desian and a Desian ranch?

Kratos: A Desian ranch is a place where Desians turn humans into monsters. And a Desian is someone who tortures and kills humans. They implant exspheres into the hands of humans and remove them to turn them into monsters, just like the one you were attacked by. Desians were also half-elves because they were discriminated against for some reason.

Kaede: But have you heard of Adolf Hitler?

Kratos: Adolf Hitler?

Kaede: Yeah. He was a leader of a cruel group called the Nazis. Hitler hated the Jewish so much he was trying to commit a full genocide. He had no right to hate them. I bet the Desians were very much like the Nazis.

Kratos: During the Journey of Regeneration led by Lloyd, my friend Yuan and I betrayed an evil angel named Mithos Yggrasil.

Kaede: That reminds me. As a demon myself, I betrayed Satan Apophis, known as the evil snake god and the Devil. I also got this ring from King Tutankhamen and he put me on a journey to retrieve his treasures and to defeat the Hyskos.

Kratos: You can’t defeat the Hyskos all by yourself, but I wish you luck on your journey.

Kaede: *sighs*

Kratos: Do you want to go home?

Kaede: Yeah…

Kratos: Do you live around here?

Kaede: Yes… I do.

Anchorwoman: Oh, they’re back. Can we get your pictures for the news.

Kratos: I guess…

Kaede’s mom: What happened?

Kratos: *explains everything*

Kaede: *goes inside*

Tutanhotep: *walks up to Kaede and meows*

Kaede: You’re such a good kitty, Tutanhotep. *strokes Tutanhotep*

Chapter 2:

- Meeting Symphonia

Kaede: *leaves the pitcher out on the sidewalk in front of the laundry mat and moves the chair that held the door open*

Colette: Aah! *trips over the pitcher* Whoops. Oh, No. I emptied the whole pitcher and now it’s in the grass.

Kaede: *to herself with disbelief* Ra damn it… *opens the door and sees Colette* What the Duat was that all about?!

Emil: Calm down. It was an accident.

Lloyd: He’s right. It’s not a big deal.

Regal: *to Kaede* Excuse me, ma’am. Weren’t you the young women on the news, yesterday?

Kaede: *calms down* What do you mean? You saw what happened?

Regal: Yes. *shows Kaede a newspaper with her and Kratos’s picture on it* We saw you and Kratos on the news yesterday. I’m glad that you’re okay.

Kaede: Thanks. You guys know Kratos, too?

Lloyd: Yeah. He’s also my true father.

Regal: I’m also glad you didn’t kill the monster.

Kaede: Right. But I attacked it. A police man shot it in the head.

Lloyd: You could wind up in jail if you kill one of those monsters.

Regal: That’s exactly what happened to me long ago…

Kaede: *scared* Honestly! I didn’t kill it and I can’t afford to go back to jail!

Raine: How did you get arrested?

Kaede: *sighs with guilt* I attempted murder on a teacher who was mistreating me at school when I was 16…

Marta: *shocked* You did WHAT?!

Colette: *gets up* How could you do such a thing?!

Genis: *gets in front of Raine* My sister’s a teacher, too! Don’t you DARE hurt her!

Raine: *puts her hand on Genis’s shoulder* I don’t think she’s angry enough to hurt anyone right now.

Kaede: She’s right. I’m not itching for a fight at all. I was VERY angry back then.

Genis: *suspicious of Kaede* And what’s your name?

Kaede: My name’s Kaede Ennead and I live in this neighborhood. Who are you guys?

Everyone: *introduces themselves*

Colette: I’m sorry that I tripped over the pitcher.

Kaede: It’s okay. It’s actually my fault that I left it in your way. I’m sorry about that.

Tenebrae: *appears out of nowhere* Greetings. I am Tenebrae, the centurion of Darkness.

Kaede: *surprised* Oh. It’s nice to meet you. *strokes Tenebrae* Whoa! You’re so soft, softer than my kitty!

Presea: You have a kitty?

Kaede: Yes, I do. He’s a living treasure. *thinks about Lisa* I think I should check in with Lisa and see how she’s doing after that incident with the monster.

Regal: Good idea.

Kaede: Would you like to come with me?

Zelos: *comes up to Kaede* Sure!

-Checking In

Kaede: *comes in the office* Hi, Lisa. How are you doing?

Lisa: I’m still trying to get this place fixed up. It sure was a quite a bit of damage. *sees the people that Kaede brought in* Who are those people?

Kaede: Well… *explains how the met the people* … and I was put on a journey to retrieve the treasures of King Tutankhamen.

Lloyd: Who’s King Tutankhamen?

Kaede: You don’t know about a great ancient Egyptian pharaoh who gave me such an awesome and exciting quest?!

Raine: *gets into ruin mode* Did you say “ancient”?!

Genis: Uh, oh. Here we go again with the ruin mode…

Kaede: Yes I said “ancient”… Why?

Raine: *grabs Kaede* I LOVE ruins! Don’t you?

Kaede: *nervous* Yeah, especially Ancient Egyptian.

Raine: *squeezes Kaede* Now I’m not the only ruin-lover anymore!

Sheena: There’s no need to suffocate her, Raine!

Raine: *drops Kaede and gloats*

Genis: *notices Kaede’s ankh necklaces* What the heck are those symbols around your neck?

Kaede: Oh, they’re ankhs. The ankh is the ancient Egyptian symbol of life. It’s also known as a Kemetic cross. *remembers Kratos giving her the exsphere* I also have this I would like to show you. *pulls out the exsphere*

Lloyd: What? An exsphere? Where did you get that?

Kaede: Kratos gave it to me.
