Zhyrine grinned while staring at the towering gate in front of her. The smile plastered in her pinkish lips widened as she moves forward at the entrance. Eyes turned towards her as she passes among the crowd. Envious and amazed stares followed her petite form as she make her way.

Zhyrine roamed her eyes at the towering buildings in front of her. The walls of the building were engraved with various design, the front of the campus is spacious and the floor is made of bricks. While the University logo stand visible at the middle part.

Zhyrine stopped in her tracks when she realized something.

"Wah! I forgot to take the map." she mumbled. She stayed up last night making her fake identity that she forgot to print the school map.

She can't help but sigh "I should just ask for direction." she mumbled to herself.

She roamed her eyes at the crowd. Her eyes unexpectedly landed on a boy carrying different kind of snacks between his arms while smiling. Zhyrine smiled and made her way to the boy.

"Excuse me." she called out. The boy turned his face to her, revealing a delicate face. His eyes were blue and his hair is as white as snow. Zhyrine can't help but feel awed at the innocent looking boy. It was her first time seeing someone as cute as him.

"Do you know the Tertiary building?" Zhyrine asked. The boy stared at her then suddenly beamed.

"Wahh! What section are you?" The boy asked cheerfully.

"Umm...they said it was Astatine." Zhyrine answered unsure and the boy beamed once more.

"Really?! Me too! I'm on my way there, we should go together!" Zhyrine grinned and nodded.

"Sure! Let's go!"

"My name is Zyne, what's yours?" Zhyrine asked as they both make their way to one of the buildings.

"Mine is Yuki, do you want some?" he offered his snacks.

"What's that?"

"Junk foods, it's bad for your health but it yummy!" Zhyrine's eyes twinkled in delight, she had only seen those in pictures but she had never tasted one.

"Can I have one?!" she beamed.

"Sure!" he responded cheery and gave Zhyrine one of the snacks stuck on his arms.

Zhyrine stared at it with eyes twinkling. She tried to open the wrapper but the plastic won't tear, she huffed in frustration and Yuki giggled at Zhyrine.

"Here, hold this for me. I'll open it." Zhyrine took the snacks. She watched as Yuki tears the wrapper using his teeth. She looked at Yuki with amazement.

"Whoah! That's amazing!" she said amused.

Yuki giggled and gave back the opened snack. Zhyrine gave Yuki's snacks to him and took hers. She grabbed one chip from the bag and tasted it.

"Woah! It's so good!" Zhyrine exclaimed making Yuki chuckle at her.

"Is this your first time eating junk foods?" Zhyrine nodded with her cheeks full of chips on each sides.

"You're like a squirrel!" Yuki said giggling.

After a few minutes, they reached the room. The room is wide and spacious furthermore all the furniture were top notch quality considering that their are only twenty-five seats on the spacious room.

Yuki and Zhyrine both entered the room and eyes went upon them. There are still few students present in the room and all were looking at the duo.

"Where should we sit?" Zhyrine asked and Yuki pointed at the corner seats. Zhyrine nodded and grinned.

They both sat and placed their bag on the bag placement beside the table.

The seats were made of dark wood and has a maroon colored cushion. The tables are also made of dark colored wood and has the university logo engraved on the upper side.

The two both ate snacks while Yuki share humorous stories at Zhyrine. Suddenly a voice interrupted the both of them.

"Hey you, what's your name?" a guy appeared with an arrogant expression. Yuki and Zhyrine look at the man.

"My name's Zyne." she answered casually. The guy raised one of his eyebrows at her and crossed his arms.

"Last name?" he asked arrogantly.

"Valeine" Zhyrine answered and the guy didn't answer for a few seonds.

"Doesn't ring a bell, what is your family's company name?" he asked. Zhyrine thought for a moment before answering.

"My family doesn't have a company, they are both average doctors." Zhyrine answered simply and the guy looked at him with a ridiculing expression.

"Then how did you even get to enter here?"

"I'm an scholar." Zhyrine answered and the guy laughed.

"Has good looks but a plain commoner..."

"What about you?" he turned to Yuki.

"Yuki Coarce" he answered and the guy's eye widened.

"One of The Elites?!" Yuki nodded annoyed at the surprised guy.

"Wow, we should be friends then. My family runs the Carlone Inc. my name is Gilbert Carlone." he introduced, his tone sounding the opposite from before.

Zhyrine on the other hand just continued to eat snacks while staring at the guy called Gilbert.

"No thanks, I'd rather be with Zyne" Yuki said coldly making Gilbert speechless

and swallow the lump on his throat.

"O-Okay." he stuttered and left.

Yuki turned to Zhyrine and smiled. Zhyrine grinned back and Yuki started sharing stories to her like nothing happened.

Few minutes passed and more students came.

"Yo! Yuki!" the two turned their eyes at the voice. It was guy with a red hair, his sleeves is rolled unto his arms, the first three buttons of his uniform were opened and his tie is lying loosely. He also has a black earring in one of his ears.

"Rue!" Yuki called back, his eyes went at the other men beside him. Yuki waves his hands towards them and some waved back. The group of guys went towards the two.

"Zyne, let me introduce my friends. This is Rue," Yuki pointed at the guy with the red hair.

Zhyrine nodded and smiled "Nice to meet you my name's Zyne Valein!" Zhyrine introduced herself cheerfully and grinned at them.

"Ohh a cutie!" one of the guys interjected.

"That's Chain, he's playboy so don't get too close to him." Yuki said and Zhyrine looked at him confused.

"What's a playboy?" she asked innocently. The group looked at her surprised at her question.

"A man who plays with different girls at the same time. So don't fall for his tricks." Yuki explained and Zhyrine nodded.

"I'm not a playbo--" Chain was about to argue but Yuki cut him off.

"Next is Harris." Yuki introduced and the man called Harris kindly waved his hand to her. Zhyrine smiled at Harris.

"And this is Titus, Aries, Loki, Hathor and...where's Zyco?" Yuki asked.

"He said he's not gonna come." Harris responded.

"Why? Is he sick?" Zhyrine interjected. The guys look at each other and Chain bursted out laughing. Yuki also giggled beside her. On the other hand, Zhyrine looked at them confused.

"Nope, no way. That guy could never get sick." Aries said between his laughter.

"Huh? But humans are prone to diseases, how come he can't get sick. Is he not human?" Zhyrine asked and looked at them innocently.

"Zyne..." Yuki mumbled and stared at Zhyrine with an unbelievable expression.

"It was a joke." Titus said.

"Ohh, it was a joke.." Zhyrine said as if she just realized something.

"She's interesting." Aries murmured to himself. A smirk appeared on his lips as he kept his eyes towards Zhyrine.

Everyone's gaze went upon the door when it suddenly opened revealing a middle aged woman wearing a professional outfit. Her heels clicked as she made her way towards the front desk.

She cleared her throat before speaking "Veinlourd students of Astatine Section go back to your seats." she spoke with professionalism and strictness lacing every word.

The students immediately went to their seats and the woman spoke once more.

"My name is Professor Laurah Florestian and I will be responsible for

this class. However, before we start, kindly introduce yourself. Starting with you." she said and pointed at the first student in front.

He stood and introduced himself. The other students soon did as well and the woman nodded in satisfaction after it ended.

"Good. We may now start the lesson."

"The sky has lost it's color again..."

Zyco turned to Zhyrine. A wide smile is plastered upon her lips, the ray of sunset shone on her delicate face and for once, Zyco felt hypnotized, he couldn't avert his gaze from her. His lips parted as he stare at the mesmerising tranquil sight.

"What's wrong?"

He snapped from his thoughts as the angelic voice appeared. Zhyrine laid her eyes on him with a wondered expression.

"Nothing." he answered and avoided her gaze.

"Eh? You're weird..." Zhyrine murmured and pouted.

"Anyway, you said before that you already met me. When was it?"

"At the Royal Banquet."

"Mmm..." Zhyrine nodded at his answer.

Silence enveloped the two as they walk upon the rough brick floor leading towards the Girl's Dormitory. The sunset shone upon them resulting a tranquil and lovely sight.

"You're also a member of The Elites right?" Zyco nodded at her question.

"Your friends are really interesting! Also Yuki! He gave me the food called junkfood, it was so delicious, it was my first time trying it!" she exclaimed with an overwhelming excitement.

"We have them at the Ex-House."

"Ex-House?"

"Exclusive house for the Elite members."

"Ehh..?! That's amazing! So you all get to have your own house, i'm jealous..." she spoke with a whining tone and pouted her lips.

"I'll take you there sometime."

"Really?! You promise?!"

Zyco replied with a nod. She stopped from her tracks and turned towards his direction. She stood infront of him with a smile on her lips.

Raising her pinky finger she spoke "Seal it!"

Zyco stared at her for a moment. The girl that stood in front her is smiling widely and for some reason, he cannot resist. He unconsciously raised his pinky finger. Zhyrine clung her finger to his and she giggled in delight.

"You promised!"

THE NEXT DAY

"Is this a sign that the world has changed it's axis or something?"

"Nope, maybe a sign that aliens have invaded earth and for some reason that alien looked like Zyco."

"Quit it guys." Titus snapped at Chain and Aries. The two both turned their attention to Titus.

"B-But...just look!" Chain exclaimed as he point his finger towards the direction of Zyco and Zhyrine who were both having a conversation, Zhyrine would occasionally laugh while Zyco stayed the same.

"That! Isn't near to the word normal!"

"We should really pack now and go to Mars...this is a sig--" Aries was cut off when Hathor forcedly elbowed his head.

"Noisy." Hathor hissed as he glare at Aries.

"That hurts you know!"

"I know." he stated plainly.

"You four-eyed!" Aries fumed glaring at Hathor. However, Hathor ignored his ranting and had his attention focused upon the book he held but on his mind, he too was surprised. Zyco wasn't the type to have a conversation with others excluding them. Be it a boy or girl, he never spoke unless it is very important.

"It's that girl."

Their eyes went to Harris who unexpectedly spoke. Harris had his eyes at Zyco and Zhyrine, observing them.

"Yeah, that girl. How did she make Zyco talk and even notice her? Is she a witch or something?" Rue asked while laying his back at the chair and rocking it back and forth and both her arms rested on the back of his head.

"No...Zyne is..strange. There's something about her that I can't explain."

Yuki stated unsure. He stared at the Zyco and Zhyrine, he's unsure but he felt that something is definitely strange. As if there is something between them... His deep thought enveloped him into silence.

On the other hand, a smirk appeared in Loki's lips as he too, continuously to gaze at them. His expression was unreadable.

"Yes! Food i'm coming!!! Let's go Yuki!"

"Mm! Leggo!!"

Zhyrine and Yuki clung their arms together and ran off the room while both laughing. Their laughter echoed until their presence disappeared.

"Yuki just got himself a twin." Chain commented and shook his head slightly and the others nodded in agreement.

On the other side, a girl wearing the same uniform stood with poise as she listens to the student nervously speaking in front of her. Her gaze is sharp and her expression is vicious.

The dimmed light that spread upon the corner of the hallway gave out a mysterious sight.

"So her name is Zyne Valeine." she spoke, lacing with ridiculing tone. Her voice sounds angelic and at the same time, venomous.

"Where are they right now?" her sharp gaze turned towards the cowering girl in front of her. The girl kept her head bowed, refusing to meet the girl's deadly gaze.

"A-At the c-cafeteria miss."

Her knees trembled and sweat formed upon her forehead. She felt nervous at the presence of the girl that stood inches away from her. She can feel her sharp gaze directed upon her.

A sigh of relief released from her mouth as soon as the girl turned her heel and left.

As soon as they arrived at the cafeteria, the next minutes consist of Zhyrine and Yuki eating delightful with an unfading smiles. Their trays were filled of various food and the other students stared at them with a weird expression.

"Hi!" a voice of a girl appeared catching their attention. Zhyrine stopped from her tracks and turned her gaze at the owner of the voice.

It was a girl with long purple hair with a wide smile plastered upon her pinkish lips. Her poise held elegance and innocence.

"Hello!" Zhyrine greeted back cheerfully.

"You're Zyne right?" her voice sounds angelic and care free. But neither were those two adjectives seemed befitting.

"Yes that's my name, is there something wrong?"

"Not really, it's just..." she moved her face close towards Zhyrine's ear and whispered.

"...you better stay away from The Elites or I'll crush you, you little piece of bug."

She retracted her face immediately and showed a flawlessly innocent smile as if she never said those cruel words.

Zhyrine stayed quite and stared at her until a mischievous smile rose upon Zhyrine's lips.

Then she answered...

"Oh! That's so nice of you! Of course I accept you offer! Let's be friends!" Zhyrine exclaimed and stood from her seat. She clung her pale arms unto the purple colored hair girl.

The girl looked at her with a shocked expression and Zhyrine continued to smile innocently at her.

"Y-You...!"

"Kristine...?"

Zhyrine and the girl both tilted their head towards the voice. The Elite members stood behind them with mixed expressions, Zhyrine smiled at them and wave her hands as a greeting.

"What are you two doing?" Chain asked with a suspicious look as he glance towards Zhyrine's arm that clung towards the girl named Kristine.

"Nothing, she came up to me just awhile ago and offered friendship! She's so nice so I agreed!" Zhyrine explained, beaming in happiness, contrasting Kristine's who held an awkward expression.

"She offered...friendship?" Aries spoke with an unsure tone, his voice hesitating at the last word. The expression written in his face denotes confusion and disbelief.

Zhyrine nodded "Mm-m!"

Both Chain and Aries tilted their heads towards each other's direction. Their eyes as if sent a message with the other.

Zhyrine felt a hand grab her wrist and pulled her, her arms separating from Kristine's. With eyes widened in surprise and confusion, she tilted her head to look at the person at fault.

She saw Zyco who wore a serious expression. His gaze were sharp as it focuses upon Kristine. The atmosphere changed in a second, his aura emitted a frightening feeling. As if he's threatening someone without using obvious words.

Kristine bit the inside of her cheeks. She felt frightened at the man who stood few feets from her. This was the first time he looked at her with such a sharp gaze.

She turned her gaze to Zhyrine, her eyes glared sharply at her. Her face held a furious and accusing expression as she look at her.

"Scram."

Kristine's eyes widened as her gaze averted from Zhyrine to Zyco, she suddenly felt coldness rushed upon her body when her eyes met his sharp ones. Her feet felt as if they were stuck on the marbled floor. She can feel the coldness at that single hurtful word he spoke.

The students who watched at the corners gave a frightened look. Some avoided their gaze from the scene and some swallowed the lump on their throats as they feel the atmosphere turning dark.

The whole cafeteria was enveloped in silence. Not a single soul had the audacity to speak nor make a noise.

"Zyco I--" her words were cut off as his gaze became more intent and frightening.

"Scram."

He repeated, however, his voice held much more coldness than before. Zhyrine glanced at Zyco and saw his face held a dark expression.

Zhyrine raised both her hands, she reached Zyco's face and placed her hands on each cheeks. Zyco's gaze tilted towards her.

Zhyrine stared intently through his gray orbs "Are you angry?" she asked, the few words that escaped upon her lips sounds soothing due to her low and calm voice.

The Elite members watched the scene as they look forward what happens next.

"No."

His tone went back to normal. The Elite members and the students who watched the scene had shock expressions on their faces.

Zhyrine pouted "Then why are you making that scary face?"

"Sorry...did I scare you."

Zhyrine nodded at him "Look, everybody turned silent."

Zyco roamed his gaze at the corners and the students quickly tilted their heads to avoid his gaze.

Kristine clenched her fist, her nails digging unto her palm. She bit the inside of her cheeks as she turned her heel and left the scene without any word.

"What a show." Loki commented and casually walked towards the table where Yuki sat in silence. The others just stared at him, confused on how he could act so normally after witnessing the unimaginable scene.

"Why are you guys so quiet?"

Their eyes went to Zhyrine. She smiled at them "Let's eat!" she exclaimed.

"Y-Yeah! We should, I'm famished." Chain stammered awkwardly. They all went to order and afterwards sat on the table with their trays, the awkward tension slowly disappeared as Zhyrine asked them various of questions as they eat.

"That's all, farewell Astatinians." the professor bid and left the room.

"That Calculus messed up my brain." Yuki wearily slumped on his desk and Zhyrine chuckled at him.

Veinlourd University is a high end prestigious school, however, it's also an exclusive school for geniuses. Lessons were advanced and students were trained at their limits. They doesn't focus on an specific area where a student is good at, instead they push their limits at every subject.

The whole class' attention went upon the door when it opened, revealing the next professor. He wore a black suit with a blue checkered polo inside, black slacks, black rimmed glasses and brown formal shoes. But his obese stomach and bald head stood out the most.

"Today's topic is all about European History. As an outstanding Astatinian, I'm guessing you all must have an individual overview about the lesson." he spoke in a raucous voice.

"Now, any volunteers?" few students raised their hands and stated insights about the lesson.

The professor nodded in satisfaction. He scanned his gaze upon each students until it landed to Zhyrine.

"You." he called out and pointed his fatty finger, Zhyrine stood up.

"You look like you weren't listening at your classmates, what are the influences of Greeks and Romans to European culture? State." he ordered with an strict tone and crossed his arms.

Zhyrine already scanned the books given to them before and it was all in her head. Zhyrine looked at him plainly and answered.

"The Ancient Greeks gave Europe its name: the word "Europe" first appeared in a song of praise to the Greek god, Apollo, dating back to the eighth century BC, whose authorship is attributed to Homer. Greece is generally recognized as the cradle of European civilisation and its contribution is emphasized at a few levels. Stefan Czarnowski indicates that although the Greeks were not the only ones whose legacy we use; although one may get into an argument about which plays a more important role in our culture today—the legacy of Hellas, Rome or Israel—they were the first to make the man and his reason to apply this principle in practice. Since the fifth century BC the European civilisation has found in Greece its elemental features, but also the seeds of its problems. After all, in Ancient Greece one may find the praise of democracy and freedom, but also the apotheosis of tyranny. The Greeks asked almost all the questions and expressed almost all the doubts that people can have in the face of the mystery of the world, the life and other people, as well--" Zhyrine was cut off when the professor suddenly shouted.

"Stop!" Zhyrine blinked at him confused.

"Why? But I still haven't finished." she reasoned.

"No, that's all. You may take your seat."

Zhyrine sat and she noticed the deafening silence. She scanned her gaze around the four corners of the spotless room and noticed her classmates gaping at her with their books on their hand, disbelief were written in their faces including the members of The Elites.

Zhyrine scratched her head confused upon their reactions.

"Z-Zyne...did you memorized the whole book?" Zhyrine turned to Yuki who stared at her with an unreadable expression.

"I think so." she answered unsure.

"Yo-You think so...?"

"Mmm...I just scanned them before hand."

Yuki stared at Zhyrine in disbelief. His jaw almost dropping to the floor. He himself can memorize the whole book, considering the fact that he is a member of The Elites, it's merely a piece of cake. However, it takes time, over a week or more atleast.

But Zhyrine memorized it within less than a week. Why less than a week? Because the book were exclusive only for Veinlourds students and they aren't publicly released. The books were all distributed at a certain time, the first day of school, and it still hasn't been a week since school started. But her answer were completely similar towards the words written in the book, she stated them without any problem, neither did she pause to think of the next sentence.

'How did she memorize it at the shortest time? Except....'

"Z-Zyne...do you have photographic memory?"

"Yep! How'd you know?!!"

Yuki looked at her with a surprised reaction. Photographic Memory is extremely rare among grown-ups, it is mostly found on children at age six to twelve.

However there are few people who has it and one of them is Zyco, who is the top student of Veinlourd University.
