It's a normal rainy day in Paris.

School was cancelled for the day due to the heavy rain. Marinette decided to spend the time sewing and catching up on schoolwork. Her parents were currently in China for a family event that would take 1 month so Marinette was home alone. She had locked the front door and gone up the stairs with a stash of cookies for feeding Tikki later on when she got hungry.

Up in her room, she was studying when her phone buzzed with a picture. It was one of Lila and Alya at Alya's house having a sleepover. In matching LB onesies. 'Wish you were here girl', the caption read. But Marinette would have rather gone running in the rain than go there to her house when SHE was there. She referring to the devil incarnate Lila Rossi sitting there with a fake smile plastered all over her fake face. Ugh she hated that girl. How come she was the only one who saw though their lies? Even Adrien didn't believe her, and that sorta stung.

She sighed, leaving the message on read and going back to studying. "Don't worry Marinette", Tikki said, "sooner or later Lila will be exposed". Marinette just sighed and went back to reading. Tikki watched her chosen sadly and went back to sleep in the little house Marinette had made for her.

It was gonna be a LONG day.

Adrien was bored. He was bored af. He had all the gadgets he wanted but he was still bored.

Plagg sat in the corner munching on his camembert. He watched as his chosen picked up his phone when a notification rang. It was a picture of Alya and Lila at a sleepover that she had posted on her status. Plagg watched as his chosen scrunched up his face in confusion. This interested him a lot. He flew over and sat on Adrien's shoulder.

Adrien pov

I stared in confusion at the picture. Didn't Alya say she was going to invite Marinette over to the sleepover? How come she wasn't there? I quickly texted Alya and a few minutes later she replied that Marinette said she was busy so she couldn't come. A few minutes later, Alya texted that Marinette had been acting weird and maybe I should check on her. I was surprised because Alya is supposed to be Mari's best friend so......

I called Alya for an explanation and Lila picked up

Lila: hi Adrien

Adrien: hey, where's Alya

Lila: oh she's in the washroom. Is there anything you would like me to ask her?

Adrien: yeah ask her why she isn't checking up on Marinette. They're supposed to be best friends

Lila: ..........

Adrien: hello?

Lila: oh Adrien didn't you know? Alya told me that Marinette got jealous that we were hanging out so she didn't wanna come.

Adrien: That doesn't sound like her.... Don't worry I'll ask her myself

Lila: Adrien wai-...

I hang up the call and proceeded to call Marinette, but she wasn't answering. "Hmm weird". I call like 5 times. No answer or straight to voicemail. Ok this is bugging me. Why isn't she answering, isn't she ok? "Maybe I should visit her as Chat Noir and check on her".

I turn to Plagg and he seems to understand, after all, he likes Marinette. "Plagg, claws out" I transform and hop out of my window into the rain towards the familiar bakery.

Meanwhile at Alya's house.....

Lila was freaking out. She had initially thought Adrien would get a bit upset at Marinette over what she said but he instead became concerned. Ughhh why is it so hard to turn him against her. She had already partially turned Alya and her other friends against her, except for Chloe, Sabrina, Nathaniel, Marc , Mylene, Ivan and Alex and Juleka, but the others seem to bend to her will. Even Rose. But the one she wanted to acquire the most always seemed to have a heart. It was so annoying. "Hey wait, I have an idea." She smiled evily. "Hey Alya?" "Yeah?" she called from the washroom. "I just saw a text from Marinette. She....doesn't seem happy that I'm here with you". "What? That's crazy. She and I are besties so she would understand. " I don't think she does", I say pretending to be sad. " I deleted the message cuz it was too mean". No sound comes out of the bathroom. A few minutes later Alya comes out and says "gimme the phone Lila" I give it to her and she walks to another room and doesn't see my smile.

This should be good.
