Alice sat up quickly grabbing the blankets it had been dark she quickly grabbed her clothes and her phone ordering a cab she looked around her the shower had been on steam pouring out that blacked her vision she ran out of the room what happened why was I in that room her body started to ache why doesn’t my body ache once the cab arrived she left.

...5 years later...

“Momma!” A child said Alice looked down it had been Quincy his hair was black with green eyes he was quite short a bit for his age though he like to eat a lot “what’s up hon?” She said Quincy smiled “momma uncle Lance asked when might the pork and rice be done?” Quincy said Alice looked at the food it had been finished but she was hoping to add more she shook her head “y-yeah it’s finished tell your uncle to set plates.” She said Quincy nodded he ran out of the kitchen immediately.

It’s been 5 year since that incident I found out after the incident I was pregnant it went well during that time I have been estranged from my family but in return I met lance he hadn’t mind I was pregnant and having a child out of wedlock he loved me the way I was and he loves my son unconditionally.

Alice had took out the Pan carrying it to the dining room lance looked at her noticing he got up and walked towards her “Alice let me carry that.” He said Alice looked down he smiled “no you don’t have to I can carry it.” She said lance smiled “No a women shouldn’t carry such a heavy item.” He said putting his hand on the Pan she sighed releasing it she quickly walked towards the table and sat down lance quickly scoop out food on each of their plates Emily’s stomach rumbled.

Lance sat down he looked at her smiling “Uncle lance are you going to propose to mommy?” Quincy said Alice and lance blushed a bit Alice looked at lance he had short blonde hair he had a tall stature his eye colors was a light blue “Quincy!” She said Quincy rubbed the back of his head smiling “sorry momma and uncle lance just wondering.” He said Alice sighed she looked at her watch “I-I better go I will be late for work!” She said.

Lance nodded “okay love I’ll watch Quincy!” He said Alice smiled she got up kissing quincy’s forehead and hugging lance kissing him afterwards she grabbed her keys and left.

Alice looked at her office she had worked harder then anyone here since the day she got the job she was a rising star in her career she had been the manager of all the others her job was to oversee all sections she had quite enjoyed it seeing the many actors and other famous people she grabbed her keys unlocking the door she felt a slight tap on her shoulder she turned around and saw it had been her ex best friend Emily quake.

She had a smile Alice looked at her and Alice looked back at her Emily was one of the friends that drugged her causing her to get pregnant and to have to leave the acting (entertainment) world Emily hadn’t known Alice known.

The only reason Alice hadn’t confronted her was because she wanted enough proof to put her behind bars “so Alice how’s my favorite person Quincy?” Emily said Alice looked down then back up at her smiling “he’s... great just last week he started school he’s learning about numbers and stuff I wouldn’t know much though.” Alice said Emily nodded “Alice I wanted to tell you something that I haven’t told Eric.” Emily said Alice nodded as she knew she would find out sooner or later.

She smiled “I’m a month pregnant with Eric’s baby!” She said Alice smiled “that’s good for you maybe our kids would hang out when their older.” Alice said Emily nodded she waved bye and left Alice turned around entering her work space she closed and locked the door she silently screamed “that bitch I’ll make her pay!” She said Alice calmed down she immediately sat down.

Alice looked at her phones lock it had been of her, Quincy and lance at The Brooklyn bridge it had been months since they lived in the city they had moved a few months ago to westChester Quincy had gained a lot more friends than when they lived in the great big apple.

Alice put down her phone she looked at her computer typing and doing her work.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Alice jumped a bit she looked at the door “I-It’s open!” She said the door opened revealing a tall handsome man he had short black hair following with deep blue eyes he looked at Alice confused “So your the CEO of Maine Corp NY?” He said alice nodded she looked at the man thinking he had looked a bit familiar “who are you?” She said the man groaned pinching the bridge of his nose “I’m the boss of this entire company....” he said Alice blushed she stood up immediately “it’s nice to see you sir and yeah I’m the ceo sorry for my rudeness... it’s just no one has ever seen you... or at least in the New York departments!” Alice said.

He smiled “has there been anything going on?” He said Alice tangled her blonde hair around her fingers nervous “N-No sir.” Alice said she heard a lot about the (entire) company’s head she heard that he was ruthless and easily angered.

He looked at her stretching his hand “I’m Michael Maine I hope to have fond memories of working with you.” He said Alice looked at his hand nervous she shook his hand “me too sir.”

Author note: I have no clue how company works I don’t know if there are many building of a company and so there’s multiple ceos or such.... so yeah sorry.

Alice looked at Michael in front of him she blushed “alright it’s good to meet my employees.” He said leaving the room Alice groaned.

A few hours later

“Mommy!” Quincy said Alice smiled she had got out of work early to see her son Quincy ran up to his mom hugging her he looked at her smiling “mommy.... it’s so fun at school we learned about a lot of things like numbers and stuff.” He said Alice smiled “that’s great Quincy... why don’t you go up to your room while I talk to your uncle.” She said Quincy smiled he immediately ran to his room lance walked closer to Alice, Alice smiled “thanks... for picking him up for me.” She said lance smiled “no problem anyway Emily came here earlier today and she’s still here.” He said Alice looked down lance sighed “I’ll go alright.” He said walking away.

Alice walked towards the main room Emily had been waiting she looked at Alice smiling, she quickly sat down “so Emily what brings you to my humble aboat?” She said Emily smiled “nothing just.... just wanted to visit.” She said Alice nodded.

Alice sighed “I’m going to be making some food do you mind if you set the plates?” Alice said Emily smiled she nodded Alice and emily got up Alice and Emily walked towards the kitchen she felt a sharp pain in her side along with a warm liquid dripping she looked down there had been blood on her clothes she turned around Emily had a knife she had stabbed Alice in the back “w-why?” Alice said Emily looked at her nervous “y-you weren’t supposed to come back alive when we sold you to that gang... I’m sorry I’m just finishing a debt to them.”

Emily had let go of the knife that was lodged into Alice’s side Alice fell hitting her head on the hard cold floor her vision soon faded the last thing she saw was a flash of blue and red lights she closed her eyes.

She slowly began to regain consciousness slowly she looked next to her, her boss had been sitting across the room while her son was next to her Michael noticed her gaze, Alice looked at him confused “w-what happened wh-where am I?” Alice felt a sharp pain at her side she looked where it had hurt there she saw the many bandages blood had by now seaped through “Alice your in a hospita”. He said Alice looked at him confused.

“W-why am I in a hospital?!” She said Michael got up trying to calm her “Alice don’t you remember Emily stabbed you.” He said Alice looked at him her eyes began to tear up she looked down at her hands “w-why why me?” She said Michael looked at her shrugging.
