AMELIA'S POV:

I was dreaming of me setting down on the frosty, emerald grass, staring at the unclouded, azure sky in a field when I heard a faint beeping sound coming from a small rustic house at a great distance. And so I ran towards it and as the sound got more and more vivid, I woke up from the loud beeping noise of my alarm clock.

I got out of the bed and did a few stretches to start my day. Just like a normal particular day, I rouse from sleep every 4:55 in the morning to make sure im early to school constantly.

After I completed my morning stretching, I headed to the shower. Everyone in the house is still asleep and would normally wake up from the echoing sound of the water from the bathroom near their room while I take a shower.

after I got out of the bathroom, usually mom goes to the kitchen after she wakes up to prepare breakfast and I would see a glimpse of light coming out of the kitchen door, but today I didn't. Wearing only my light blue bathrobe and matching towel on my head, I went to their bedroom to wake my mom up.

When I opened the door to their bedroom, unexpectedly, no one was there. Weird. Are they playing a prank on me? Nahhh, that's not like them.

I caught a glimpse of a paper with my name on it beside my dad's phone on the table beside their bed. It's from dad,

"HEY MY LITTLE PRINCESS, you might be wondering where we are now. Well, there was an emergency meeting at work, so I drove mom to her work with Lynna, since I know you won't be taking care of her. You wont be going to school since i cant drive you there today. We'll be back soon, LOVE YOU DEAR."

There's something thats isn't right here... Lemme tell you whats wrong here. First of all he never calls me Little Princess and he never calls my little sister, Lynna, directly by her name Lynna, she usually gets the nicknames like princess, cupcake, sweety pie, and other cringe pet names. There is also the fact that the bathroom floor was dry, a sign that no one showered before me, and there's the fact that no one will go to a work meeting without their phone, and lastly and is the most important wrong thing, is that this is neither dad, mom, nor Lynna's handwriting, and its obviously not mine either.

I went back to my bedroom still shocked from what's currently happening, it took me a while to completely process everything that happened. This is just the worst way to start a beautiful Monday morning, knowing your parents and siblings went missing and a weird creepy letter appeared out of no where that you don't even know who it's exactly from, its just not.

I dialed one of my best friends, Dhalia. She picked up.

"Hey Lia...?"

"OH MY GOSH ATHY! I thought you disappeared too!" she panicked.

"wait, what do you mean by disappeared too??" I asked.

"well.. I just got news from my aunt that my cousin, Jake, has gone missing, even mom, dad, AND LAURA!" she cried.

"WHAT? LAURA'S GONE MISSING TOO? How did you even get the information that she went missing?"

"well, she called me last night and told me that she forgot her favorite shoes at my house and she would pick it up early in the morning after she wakes up, and just a while ago I waited for her to come by but she didn't, then after a few minutes passed I got tired of waiting so I visited her house, her older brother opened the door and had tears all over his red face, he told me that his little brother and Laura went missing..." she explained.

Laura's parents passed away 2 years ago and is now living with her brothers, she has 1 older and 1 younger brother. She is a person who loves collecting shoes and bags, and she lets us borrow her stuff and sometimes leaves her stuff at our houses so she we can borrow it or she can use them as backup.

"Did something else weird happened? Like, uhhh, did you see any letter?"

"YES! when i came to check on my parents they left a letter saying that they will go down to the bakery early today, at first i thought that they just wanted to change the schedule and all but when i went down, the bakery lights were off and no one was there, nothing was touched either."

Dhalia is the only child in their family, she gets spoiled by her parents because of that. Their family owns the most popular bakery in town, some people from the city even come to our small town just to buy from their bakery. Dhalia is the type of person that you'll get the first impression that she's the mean type and so full of herself, but she's no where there, she's actually the type of person who would always joke around and would send you som-- almost all of her derpy pictures, the type that you can rely on when no one is their for you, the type to talk to you first and be your friend when she sees you all alone in one corner.

After I told her about what happened here the past 2 hours ago, unexpectedly the handwriting was unfamiliar to her too.

"wait, hold up, this is getting too weird and creepy even for me. I know im weird but this is in a different level of weird, it probably isn't weird anymore, its just creepy... Okay, first of all we should inform the others about this, that is... If they didn't disappear..." Lia replied, "... Have you told Jireh and the twins about this?"

"how could I have? I only knew now that not only people are disappearing..."

After a while of thinking, We both planned to inform and meet up with the others about this, we hung up, and so I called Jireh first.

"Jireh," I said.

"what's up sweety~?" he replied.

"its not the time to be playing jokes right now, something unexplained is happening. Do you know anyone who went missing leaving a letter about them?" I asked.

"uhhh, now that you mention it... Nate, my room-mate, suddenly disappeared this morning saying that he went out early for school, he may be a nerd but we always walk to school together... That sounds like we're gay, doesn't it?"

"yeah it does, but thats not what im here for..."

I explained to him about all that Lia and I talked about and told him to meet at the park with the others.

"what kind of unexplained phenomena sh*t is this?"

"don't curse. And I don't know, thats why we're going to discuss this all together, also don't forget to get the letter." I hung up.

Then Dhalia messaged me that she already informed River and Rain, the twins.

Now that that's settled, I gotta fix myself up because im not going there just wearing my bathrobe. After I got dressed with my plain light blue t-shirt tucked in my black jeans, I took my bag with my wallet and phone then went back to my parents room to get the letter but when I got there... I couldn't find it. I searched and searched everywhere but it was nowhere to be found.

Suddenly, I heard something ringing, its my phone. I answered.

"Athy.. Something's wrong..."
