chapter 1
Aurora, a girl in her 20s is lying on the bed crying over a recent break-up, when her friend Samantha enters the room with a box of donuts.
Samantha
24 vanilla glazed donuts!
Samantha
I had to place a special order to get them made at the bakery!
Samantha
Now if this doesn't cheer you up! I officially give up!!
Aurora gently gets up and sits. She starts devouring the donuts one after another, with tears rolling down her cheeks.
Samantha
Woah girl! Easy there!
Samantha
I don't want you to get choked acting like a hungry monster!
AURORA
Oh please Sam! you are certified at CPR. If I do choke you'll save me somehow.
Samantha
Oh really! And if you get diabetic one of these days for eating this amount of donuts, don't expect me to nurse you!
AURORA
Don't worry, I won't! there is an invention called Insulin for that!
Samantha takes away the box of donuts from Aurora, who angrily pouts.
Samantha
Oh dear! quit pouting! you know what! I have an amazing idea!
AURORA
And what would that idea be?
Samantha
Well you can go on a double date with Clark and I!
Samantha
He told me that his roommate will make a perfect match for you!
AURORA
Sam!! I can't do that! it hasn't even been a week since me and Alex broke up!!?

Samantha
Either you'll go for the date or I'll kick you out of MY dorm and then you can go live with your parents!!

Later at night, Sam and Aurora meet Clark and his roommate at a restaurant.

Dominic shoots a basketball which bounces back and hits Aurora square in the face. Dominic is shocked and focuses all his attention on Aurora.

Don't worry! it's plastic anyway! it didn't do much damage...!
Dominic runs away to get help from Clark. A half hour later, Aurora and Dominic are sitting across from each other.
AURORA
So.., How's living with Clark?
Dominic
It's great! we are like the best of buds! almost like brother's!

It's fine. Honestly, it didn't even hurt. 🤷🏻♀️

Just fine? You sound like you aren't into your classes... What are you taking this semester?
Dom starts to stutter due to a condition he has.

It's fine! i have a childhood friend who also stutters. So, I am used to that ☺️

So, where did you grow up?

I.. uh.. grew up in London with my uncle and aunt.

So.. was the university in Noah your first choice?

Well, initally I moved to Seattle with my parents, but then when I told them that wanted to be a writer, We moved to Noah.
Dominic
Ohhh... What kind of writer?
AURORA
Honestly, I don't care about the kind as long as I get to share my creativity and tell my stories to the world!
Dominic
Well, then I promise that I'll buy your first book when it gets published! 😁
The waiters serve the dishes on their table.
Dominic

No! what's the fun in that! let's share all these 4 plates.

They enjoy their food and when Sam and Clark come, they throw a fit for eating their food.
But then they all laugh and Sam suggests to go bowling.
Clark and Sam go for bowling while aurora and Dom raincheck to go for movies.
Later, Outside the University of Noah.
Aurora Parks her Car in the front of the dorm. Dom is in the passenger's seat.
AURORA
I really don't want to go out in the rain again!! Do you?
Dominic
And ruin my jacket!! h*ll no!
AURORA
Exactly! I have been super terrified of Rain growing up in London.
AURORA
It rains like crazy there! sometimes it rains so heavily that flood warnings are issued 😵
Dominic
Clark is sure an idiot for going out bowling on a rainy night like this!
AURORA
So is Sam for going with Clark! Out of all the nights, they chose a rainy night for bowling 🤦🏻♀️

I am soo glad that we went to the movies instead!
AURORA

Aurora Blushes and grins at the cheesy words of Dom.
AURORA
So, what do you wanna do?

The rain isn't stopping anytime soon, you know? 🤷🏻♀️

Aurora is surprised by the kindness and gentle-manly behaviour of Dom.

A warmth enveloped Aurora's heart as her heartbeat fastened.
Her cheeks flushed red and her eyes gleaming in awe.
She gently reaches in to kiss Dominic.
and he gladly reciprocates....
It is the start of something new as love has started to blossom in their tender hearts...
The touch of their lips feels like heaven to both of them as they savour the moment.
It feels like an eternal bliss. as they Aurora leans back to gasp for air.
Dom glares at Aurora and their eyes meet as something grows in their hearts...

He pauses the rehearsal and gives the pointers.

Jack, Increase your pitch to sync with Mike, Jordan and Ben.
Jack raises his pitch but it still isn't loud enough to synchronise.

He signals the actors to take a break.
