Georgia's P.O.V (Point of view)
January 22 Wednesday.
I woke up with the sun shining in my face. Keeping my eyes closed,I rolled over trying to rap my arm over my love. After a while of searching and finding nothing,I opened my eyes to find...no-one.
I sigh, resting my head on my upper arm and my other arm laying in the place someone was supposed to occupy. Marcus. But I understand.
His grandfather had sadly passed away 3 months ago, leaving Marcus everything in his will. That includes his company which was worth millions of dollars. His father was surprised like everyone else, but by far the most proud. But came with his father's pride was his high expectations which he had to live up to. Leaving him even more stressed.
So this has been happening for the last 2 months. He would leave in early in the morning, and come home late at night when I have already fallen asleep. And each morning my heart would be heavy with disappointment... as it is now. But no matter how little I see him, my feelings haven't changed at all. He is my love. My world. My everything.
His my husband, my Marcus~
Getting out of bed in my silver knee high nightgown, I made my way to the bathroom door on the opposite side of the room. Opening the door, I step in and strip my nightgown and open the shower door to turn on the water.
As I waited for the water to heat up, I stare at myself in the mirror. Yellow eyes stared back at me with button a button nose and plush pink lips. Raven black falls gracefully around my face, ending at my shoulder blades. Clear skin completing my appearance. I was what most people considered an example of beauty, elegance and grace.
I would always blush when people said that, I didn't deserve their praise. And I really didn't. I am just like any other person. I breath the same air as everybody else and I function like every other woman out there. There is really no difference. During my senior year of high school, I was very popular for what, I don't know.
But even though I was popular, I treated everyone the same way. I was born into a rich family but I didn't really care and wore the same cloths everybody else wore. Much to the rest of my family's dismay.
I loved my high school years, but there was specific day that was my favourite day of my life, even to this day. The day I met Marcus. I remember it like it was yesterday, even though it was 7 years ago, the memory is still fresh in my mind.
*Flashback*
Georgia...
Georgia.
"GEORGIA!"
I snap out of whatever daze I was in and turn my attention to the person beside me. Mia Carter. Light pink, curly, chin length hair and soft brown eyes. Wearing a pink flower dress with matching flats. She was soo cute! But cuter when she wasn't sporting that angry expression she has on now.
"WERE YOU EVEN LISTENING!?" she shrieked.
I could practically see the steam coming out of her ears. She hated it when I spaced out, and it was the 3rd time in the last 30 minutes and her patience run out.
"Oh, sorry. I wasn't listening. You were saying?" I say tucking a loose hair behind my ear. "Mhm, like I hadn't noticed." she said glaring at me. "Anyway, I was telling you on the newest scope on Brian Williams. You remember him, right?". "Ah, he is your crush. And you, his professional stalker. How could I possibly forget?" I look at her with a teasing smirk.
I huge blush spread across her cheeks to the tip of her ears. Puffing her cheeks and turning her head with a 'Hmph', she crossed her arms mumbling "Whatever. I'm not a stalker…". I chuckle at her clear embarrassment, "Whatever you say to yourself to make yourself feel better. But you know it's true." I snigger.
"As I was saying, rumour's going around that he has a crush! People don't know who it is but maybe, just maybe, it's me!" She said excitedly, jumping up and down as we walked the school corridors. She was jumping so much that she lost her footing and bumped into me. She regained her balance but I sadly didn't.
Bumping into a poor passerby. The collision forced me and the poor person to the ground with a thud. I expected much more pain from the fall, but the floor seemed to be much more plushy and comfortable than I expected.
Wait. That isn't right.
I open my eyes and realised I was facing a clothed chest of a… male.
"Shit…" a slightly deep voice groaned. I looked up into one of the handsome faces I have ever seen. A strong jaw lead up to prominent features. He had beautiful golden blond hair that brushed above his eyebrows. I wouldn't have noticed all this from afar because all of his magnificent features were hidden under his wire rimmed glasses, which gained more focus and attention then his actual face.
I was forced out of my trance when another uncomfortable groan escaped his lips. I quickly got up from on top of him and kneel a bit away from him to give him some space. While he was slowly getting up on his elbows, I began gathering my books and sorted his in a different pile.
"Oh my gosh, Georgee! Are you Ok?" Mia's voice asked as I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see her bent over, her hand on my shoulder and with a concerned expression. I smile at her and give her a slight nod to confirm I'm alright then turn back to the boy on the floor. "Shit. That hurt." another mumble came from him. I stand up and dust myself off then extend my hand to him, "Hey, are you OK?" I ask, concerned I must of hurt him when I landed on top of him.
He opened his eyes, and the first thing he saw was my hand. His gaze slowly trailed up my arm to my face, then finally made contact with my eyes. I let out a small gasp as I was met with the most beautiful blue eyes. They were the color of the sky on a clear day. It simply took my breath away. His eyes widened with what seemed like realisation as he must of figured out that I'm the most popular girl in school. "Shit!" he exclaimed, scrambling off the floor quickly, ignoring my out stretched hand. Once he was up he clasped his hands together and gave me the most pleading look I've ever seen anyone with.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to get in your way! I promise it will never happen again!" he said so fast I almost didn't catch it.
Wait… did he think I was going to hurt him?
"What? No! I'm not going to hurt you in anyway. I was just trying to make sure you were OK." I put my hands in front of me and slowly walked towards him like you might do to a frightened animal, giving him a reassuring smile.
I quickly dove down and grabbed his books I sorted and his bag he'd dropped in the fall as well.
I out stretched my arms for him to take his property, "Here." I beckon for him to take his things. He hesitantly took his bag and secured it on both his shoulders before gently takes his books. Satisfied with this I offered my hand and introduced myself, "Hi, my name is Georgia Walker. What's your's?"
He seemed to have become more comfortable with me because he took my hand with no hesitation, "My name is Marcus. Marcus Monroe." He said with a smile at the end. He wore black sneakers, black jeans and a black hoodie. He must really not want to be noticed. He had slight dimples which made him look cute.
I blush when I had realised I was staring for to long and let go of his hand. "So do you want us to walk you to class? You know, to say sorry for knocking you over." I shrugged like it was nothing when my heart was beating out of my chest hoping he would say yes.
"Um, sure." He said blushing slightly at the invitation. My smile was so wide I was sure my face was going split in two, "Great!" I clapped my hands together.
While me and him walked and were getting to know each other better, Mia was at the back smirking at us the entire way to class.
*Flashback Over*
I snapped out of my memories and realised the mirror had fogged up. I quickly got in and showered. I got out the bathroom with a towel around my body. I ran out to the walk in closet and walked to the very back to where my cloths and jewelry was stored. I put on my lavender lotion and wore a pink bra and matching underwear.
I put on a long sleeve t-shirt with a floral skirt that reached my ankles and white flats. I walked out and went over to the dresser and grabbed my hair brush when something caught my eye.
A yellow sticky note was stuck on top of the dresser. I picked it up and brought it closer to my face to see the writing it had.
It read:
Morning love.
I'm so sorry I didn't get to see you this morning. Today you have to meet Mia at the mall. I know you don't remember but today is the the 22nd...
Happy birthday.
Love: Marcus
I have forgotten I had to meet Mia at the mall. And he knew I would forget so he bothered to remind me. "Aww~ he's so sweet, and-" I stoped mid sentence, his message finally sinking in.
"It's my birthday…" I whisper raising my hand to my mouth, lightly touching my lips with my finger tips, making sure those words came out of my mouth. "It's my birthday." I say louder, a smile stretching across my face.
"IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!"
I shout so loud I'm sure everyone in the manner could hear me. I quickly ran out the door to the room and was immediately met with the stairs and quickly ran down the them. "MERIEM! MY KEYS PLEASE!" I called as went down the stairs.
Almost immediately a elderly woman with grey hair in a tight bun with in a maids uniform appeared by the double doors in front of the stairs. She bowed her head with a tray that had my keys on them, presenting me them.
I walked up to her grabbing the keys from the tray, tossed the tray to the side and pulled her into a hug. Judging from her tense body she was surprised by my sudden hug, but didn't have time to hug back when I quickly pulled away.
She smiled at me, "Happy birthday, Madam." she said with a slight bow. Her smile showing soft wrinkles around her mouth. "Thank you so much!" I hugged her once again. She was nice to me ever since I started living here. I pulled out of the hug and barged out the door, running down the pathway to my Grey Mercedes. Turning around, I blew Meriem a kiss. She laughed waving me goodbye.
I got into the car and closed the door behind me. Starting it up I looked back at Meriem with a smile, then drove down to the gate opening it. As I drove out the estate to the main road, I started thinking about how it all went this far. And how Marcus changed.
From the shy, scared, and hardly noticed rich boy I bumped into in the school hallway, to the sweet, gentle and confident business man I married.
He had stopped wearing his wire rimmed glasses and started wearing contacts, making his sky blue eyes more noticeable. All his sharp features were now able to be seen. He started working out more and now had a toned body, not enough to show abs but still fit.
He was now more gorgeous than before, now every woman wanted him. Which didn't worry me at all. He wascalready married and I know we have each other in our hearts so I don't see a reason to worry.
Once I reached the mall I parked my car and stepped out. Not even 5 seconds later, I was attacked with a hug nearly knocking me over. I quickly regained my balance and look down at the person who attached their arms around my waist. I look down into soft brown eyes that sparkled with excitement and the widest grin on her face and a head full of pink hair.
"Happy birthday!!" Mia screamed, causing some people in the parking lot to stare. I giggled at her over excitement on MY birthday. "Thank you. How have you been?" I asked hugging her back.
She pulled away while she answered, "It's been going great! The only sad thing is that I still don't have a car!" She pouted like and crossed her arms like a toddler ready to have a tantrum. I laughed at her childish antics.
"Well maybe you should think about the money you're about to spend on today's shopping spree. And save up for that car you so desperately need." I smirked at her, already what her answer will be.
"No way! It's your birthday! It's not only a day to celebrate, but it's also another reason for me to shop till I drop." she said making me double over in laughter. That's my Mia. "Now what are we waiting for? A birthday invitation? C'mon let's go!" She dragged me all around the mall for two whole hours.
Each store we went to she would go to the cashier and make them announce to everybody that it was my birthday, making everyone sing for me. And each time I covered my face with my hands in embarrassment from all the attention.
Once we were finally done, we went to a nearby cafe and sat down with our shopping bags at our sides.
"So how has it been going Mrs. Williams?" I asked with a sly smile on my face. Yes, you heared correctly. Williams. As in the surname of her high school crush. Turns out that Brian's 'secret crush' was Mia and when he finally admitted it and asked her out on a date, she immediately said yes. Dates turned into full blown relationship, and by the time they graduated and finished University they were already married.
A huge blush spread across her cheeks reaching the tip of her ears. After 3 years of marriage, she's still turns the shade of a tamatoe when she is called the title she has dreamed about holding since the start of freshman year.
"I-It's OK, I g-guess." she stammered, playing with her fingers under the table. "How about you, Mrs. Monroe." she fired back quickly before I could ask her more detailed questions.
I sipped my coffee, we had both ordered when we got here, "Well it's actually a bit complicated." I stated.
I was more composed than her when it comes to people to call me my title, which I will gladly say with pride. Which much to her dismay seeing me so relaxed but her expression quickly changed into confusion. "What? Explain." she said firmly, leaving no room for an excuse. I explained to her everything that has been going on in the past 2 months and by the time I was done she was looking at me sympathetically. She put her hand over mine on the table and gave me a sad smile, "Things will get better." She reassured me softly.
I smiled at her. She's my best friend for a reason.
We walked out of the coffee shop to drop off our bags. All the way in silence. Once I had put my bags in I went to get in the car when suddenly I was pulled back by the back of my shirt.
I stumbled for a bit before I realised it, I was being dragged by Mia back to the mall. "H-hey! Aren't we going home?" I asked, confused ofcwhy we were going in the other direction. She pulled me forward then slung her arm around my neck, "With the bad mood we just left in? No way! We are going to do more shopping till we forget that ever happened. It's your birthday, and you deserve to end it on a good note." she declared with determination.
Knowing there would be no arguing with her, I just continued walking. She would milk Brian's credit card dry, just to make my day better. With that thought in mind, I smiled.
I would go to the end of the earth and back for her, and she'd do the same. We were inseparable in kindergarten, middle school, high school and collage. Why wouldn't we be inseparable now?
We're best friends…
......................
"What!? You're getting him a gift? On YOUR birthday?" she looked at me like I had grown two extra heads. It didn't see the problem with buying my husband a gift. "And…?" I ask, not seeing the point in her argument. "And it's supposed to be your day!" She exclaimed throwing her hands up. I look back the watch I had just spotted in the jewelry store. It was the latest model and it had all sorts of features, "Mia, he's been wanting this watch for such a long time. I just really have to get for him." I said while gazing at the watch, stroking the glass container.
When he was still able to spend time with me, he would go on about this watch and showed me several pictures about it. In those moments he would talk about the watch, I could see the nerd he was back in high school. The same nerd I fell in love with.
So this watch was important to me as it was to him. Maybe even more. Just seeing a glimpse of his old self made my heart flutter.
Hearing a sigh from beside me I heared Mia's voice say "Fine. But he better have gotten you something or else he'll have the privilege of meeting his ancestors."
I chuckle at her threat, knowing she was super protective of me as I was of her. I went ahead and purchased it, I got it in a black velvet wedding ring box. But I added something special. I asked the sales lady to please hand me a small piece of paper and I wrote a message on it so when he opens it he'll see it and the watch.
We walked out the mall into the beautiful night sky. We spent a lot of time in there, hours to be exact. Once we reached my car Mia was about to take her things out with a sad look when I stopped her. "No, Mia. You said that you've never been able to have a car. Why don't you drive mine for the week?" I offered. The gesture might've been completely random to most people, but to me it wasn't. Every time we go out she'd always need a ride or walk. She'd always say 'what was the point of getting a driver's license if I don't drive?' And I'd just feel kind of sad. So I just want her to drive my car for the week. I'm sure I can survive walking from place to place.
Her eyes widened in disbelief, "Really? A-are you sure? I mean, I can continue walking but-" She stops her rambling when I put my hand on her shoulder with an amused look on my face. "Just drive my damn car. Here." I tell her reaching into my pocket to hand her my car keys. She hesitantly takes them but immediately pulls me into a tight hug and whispers "Thank you~"
She quickly pulls away and runs to the driver's side door, "Come on!" She said beckons for me to entire the other side. I just shook my head, "No. You've got errands to run and I've to get home immediately. Marcus should be home by now and I've got to show him my surprise." I said, holding up the small light blue shopping bag I had.
"And besides, my house is 2 blocks away." I diminished the last of her worries. I started walking to the exit and shouted over my shoulder, "I'll come pick up my clothes tomorrow at you're place! Don't think about have an extra clothes!"
I heared an 'aww' which made me burst out laughing. That woman.
I walk out and start my way over the estate. After walking for a while, I stopped by a alleyway and saw the estate gates on the other side. The alleyway was pretty long, but it was better then going the long route. I started walking, the only thing that could be heard was the tapping off my shoes as I walked.
Then suddenly I heared groaning. I quickly turn around but found no-one. Huh… I could've sworn I heard-
Suddenly, I was pulled by the neck and slammed into a brick wall. My back burst out in pain from sudden impact. I tried to free myself but the hand that was on my neck, moved lower and a cool sharp object occupied the space. I opened my eyes, to see a man with spiky blonde hair pointing in all directions. His cold eyes stared with an evil glint and had a scar across his mouth.
I was about to struggle when I noticed the cold sharp object I felt by my throat… was a knife. I grab onto both his hands, trying desperately to pry them off but he just wouldn't budge. As in immediately, fear started to bloom in my chest causing me to panic. "S-s-sir. W-what are you d-doing?" I manage to stammer out, "Well, well, well. You're not too bad. Perfect to play with."
My eye grew wide as I started to hyperventilate. No. No no no no no no. I don't want to be raped. He moves to my neck, I felt his tongue on my shoulder, trail all the way up my neck to the shell of my ear, "You don't taste bad either.". I shiver in disgust. His voice sounded like rusty nails and smelt like rotting eggs. No. I will not allow myself to be raped by this man.
"N-no…"
It was only a faint whisper but he heared it. "What did you say?" he said moving away from my neck to glare at me, daring me to repeat myself. "I said NO!" I scream, with all the strength I can muster, I kick him hard in between the legs.
He groans in agony, dropping the knife and quickly holding his private area. I run quickly while his still in pain but I underestimated his recovery, because I only managed taking 5 steps before I feel a hand on my ankle tripping me. I fall, my hitting the ground with a sickening thud. I feel dizzy, the world is now a blur around me, I can't focus on a single thing.
In my daze, I hear clothes ripping, I feel the cold night air rush on my chest which is now exposed. No… his starting "NO!" I scream, kicking and struggling, I feel small rips come at the side of my clothing feeling more exposed. At this point, tears are steaming done my face as I struggle against my attacker.
"HELP!! SOMEBODY, HELP ME PLEASE!! SOMEONE-"
My cries were cut short as I felt a strong slap at the side of my face, sure that that would leave a bruise. "Shut up you bitch!" he hisses at me, squeezing my throat, not enough to choke me but enough for me to know that he could end my life at any moment. "Since you couldn't behave, I'll have to kill you now. Raping a dead corpse isn't as fun, but it will do." he stated, pulling out his knife again. He struck my left arm first.
The knife went straight through my arm. I cried out in absolute agony, the pain shooting through my arm immediately. I kept on tossing and turning, trying to avoid the blow to my chest and head. He kept on striking, my pain ment nothing to him. As I felt myself losing consciousness.
But in that moment, the only person I could think of… was Marcus. That smile I got see everyday, I'll never be able to see again. That laugh. Those eyes. His weird habits. Him…
No. I will see him. I will give him the present I got for him. I refuse for this to be the my last day without seeing him.
I suddenly felt a brick by my side. Yes. That brick was my hope. With all the strength I had left, I lifted it up and, with all my might, slammed it to the side of his head. I heared a thud to my side and I turned my head to see the man, lying on the floor unconscious.

Georgia's P.O.V
Everything hurts...
I had already gotten off the ground, leaving my attacker out cold. It hurt to stand, it hurt to move, it hurt to breathe. But I still go on, walking painfully towards the gates of the estate. My gift to Marcus still gripped firmly in my hand.
He is the reason I live so happy. He gives me a purpose, and I'll forever be grateful. I would fight a whole army just to see his smile. He is world, and to loose him would be like having nothing to live for.
Like the earth, he is the reason I keep breathing. He keeps anchored to the ground when I fly away, he keeps me together when I fall apart.
I love him and he loves me, and that's the reason I'm still walking through all this agony. For him.
I check if I still have my gate keys stillbintact with me, and to my surprise, I find them. Opening the gate, I walk in and it automatically closed behind me. Passing 3 or 4 houses, I finally reach ours in the centre.
I walk into our house and close the door behind me, "My goodness, what happened!". I turn my head to see Meriem, her eyes wide in horror and her hand over her mouth in shock.
I look down at myself, and I looked like a disaster. My shirt was torn in the front, showing everyone my pink bra and half my breasts. Blood was flowing continuously out of the millions of cuts that were left on my body, each cut had to be and a inch or 2 deep.
"I-I-I'm, fine…" My voice sounded weak from all the screaming I've doing. I walk past her, painfully up the flight of stairs, "Have to see Marcus."
"But, Madam! Please! Let me fix your wounds first, you're seriously injured!" She tried to reason, but I just kept on walking up.
I want to see Marcus…
That's all I thought as reached the top. I started running towards the door despite my body's please for me to give in to the pain. I opened the door to our bedroom, the biggest smile on my face, then I froze immediately. My heart stopped for a few seconds from what was in front of my eyes.…
Marcus ***** on top of another woman.
A tear escapes my eye as they continue to pleasure each other.
No. No no no no no. God please no. This can't be happening…
Third Person's P.O.V
"Marcus...?"
He heared a voice but couldn't quite hear who it belonged to.
He heared a light thud, but he didn't care, too busy fucking his assistant.
"Why...?"
He hearing the sweet melodic voice of his wife, he quickly snapped his head to the door.
There she was, the woman he fell in love with, but his eyes widened in horror as he saw her state. Clothes torn and blood covered her body, she was on her knees, a tear
For a moment, his eyes filled with worry, but was quickly replaced with pure rage, "What do you want, slut?" he hissed. She flinched at his harsh tone. He'd never used it with her before.
"Why, are you doing this?" She whispered quietly, "WHY WOULD YOU HURT ME THIS WAY!?" She shouted, her tears were freely running down her face, but she didn't care. Her heart felt like it was breaking about to fall apart.
Crack.
She could her heart cracking, one the edge.
Slap!
She feel back her eyes closed shut, she could guess from the powerful and that Marcus was the one who had slapped her.
Crack.
The slap caused another crack to form in her heart. She slowly looked up, everything had become blurry through her tears but she could still see Marcus's form above her.
He felt anger surge through him, and slapped her once again. He used to be repulsed by the very thought of hurting her, but now it's all he can think of. "You worthless bitch! I gave you everything, and yet you still ***** around with other men!" Through out his sentence he was slapping her, each one harder than the last.
She was confused to what he was saying, not knowing what he was talking about. But she kept quiet, letting him finish his assault. When he finally calmed down she was coughing out blood.
"Why did you cheat on me?" he asked, she still kept silent.
He sighed and walked over to his ***** on the bed who was smiling with glee at the beaten woman.
Marcus just ignore the look and began kissing her. Georgia lifted her head just in time to see their lips connected. A passionate kiss she thought only she could share with him.
CRACK!!
A huge crack broke out right in the middle of her heart. From the top to the very bottom of her heart.
It hurt.
It was worse than dying. She clutched her chest in a useless attempt to stop it, but it was too late. It broke.
Her heart broke.
And like someone had flicked a switch, the pain stopped. Her sobs had stopped and her once kind eyes had become a void of pain and betrayal.
She stood up, her arms hanging loosely and her head hanging low as if she was carrying her own dead body, and walked over to the closet. She opened the doors and dragged her feet to the very back of the walk in closet. Every step she made, droplets of blood would fall.
But she felt no physical pain despite her severe injuries. Only emotionally, she was on the verge of dying.
She took Marcus's present out, which he did not notice was in her hand, and opened a loose tile under the drawer with all the jewelry. In the was a box, she put his present in.
As she was about to close it, the glint on her finger caught her attention. And that object nearly made her go into a full on melt down. A simple gold band with a small princess cut diamond.
Her wedding ring.
Tears steadily fell down. The only indication she was heartbroken. She gentlely took it off and carefully laid it next to his present, as if it was made of glass it was going to break with the slightest touch.
She shut the lid and carefully placed it back. She stood back up, a small puddle of blood left in her place.
She walk out of the closet, trying not to look at the 2 lovers on the bed. But when she turned around, she wished she hadn't. Her and Marcus's eyes connected as he pulled away from the strange woman. His eyes only showed hate and disgust. He looked at her with a smirk on his face as he said his final words,
"And I almost forgot.
Happy Birthday…"
