As I make contact with the mysterious white mist, I feel goosebumps. I follow it into where it came from, a steel room. The door was clearly rusty. As if the place has been abandoned for a very long time. All my senses focused only on that area. All other things and surroundings disappeared. It was cold, yet warm. An eccentric feeling I can never fail to remember. I get goosebumps as I suddenly hear voices throughout the area.

"Come in. Open the door and witness his beauty," the voices say. After hesitating and thinking for moments, I did as they said. I walk towards the door, hold the knob, and slowly turned it. The door's creaking gave even more suspense. While opening the door very slowly, I kept hesitating. Despite that, I continue. Alas! I opened it!

I see a silhouette. It has a very big figure. The room was too dark to see anything clearly. Time passes as I entered the room. And it shocked me as it made movement. A pair of wings and a tail appear! As those appeared, glowing dust was spreading across the room. The sight was mesmerising. The glowing dust spread quickly. I made contact and to my surprise, it was a gentle and warm feeling. Very similar to a mother's love and embrace. Particles gathered on my hand and formed a very beautiful butterfly. It's nothing out of the ordinary.

It piqued my interest to the point I said, "Beautiful." It flinched... perhaps it heard me. But at that moment, I wasn't concerned whether it noticed me or not. I was about to approach it. But before I could take a step, the glowing dust gathered around his wing and illuminated it with light. The once dark and cold room has now been embraced by the dust's light and warmth.

I finally took a step after admiring its beauty, but to my suprise, it flew. It was not the aggressive approach. But rather, it gently floated past me. Before it left, I saw it. A smile. I stood in awe and... I awoke.

~Author's note: Hello! I'm Ika. As I am a "one-man author", I don't have much experience. I'm still a student so update might be delayed. Though I plan to finish this before the official release, I might not have time. At first, I wrote this to kill time. But I think I'll take this seriously~.

I finally awoke from the dream. It's been so long since I last experienced it. It feels like I'm back to the "good old days." Still, I start my day like any other day. I grab my phine and--

"I,it's... I'M LATE!", I shout out loudly. I was too drawn in to the dream that my conciousness had lost its prupose. I missed all my alarms, and now I'm late!

I run to the bus terminal.

"How unlucky!", there's no bus today... I had no choice but to run to the company building. My job was supposed to be the secretary of the President. Perhaps my career life will end here, at the first and (probably) last day of my work.

"I, I'm finally here..."

I finally reach the building. But I was totally breatheless. I has exhausted myself too much and as expected, I had collapsed from wearing myself out by running (literally) late to work.

I awoke for the second time this morning. My sight was hazy, but I realized that I was lying down on a bed.

"Where..."

I murmured. I saw a man sitting by my bedside. I stared at him for a while. He was reading a book. "Dear Human"

A very strange book. But it felt familiar. The title, the situation. It felt as if this had already happened...

After a while, he closed it. He probably knew I was awake, but decided to ignore me. He stood up, smiled and said, "Meet me at my office."

He left. His office, his office his office... I thought. NOW I'M DOOMED! COULD HE BE THE PRESIDENT?!

I recalled his face from the files given to me by his former secretary. Will I be fired on my first day?
