Chosing "The one"
Some fancy car pulled up the building. I didn't know what they were doing here. I should have ran while I had the chance-
Let me introduce myself. Hi. I'm Lucia and... I'm an orphan. Right now I live in an orphanage. Obviously.
I dont have any friends here, and I'm glad. They're all jerks. Even the ladies that take care of us. Not the younger ones tho. They seem nice. I don't really know much about my family. All I know is that they're jerks for leaving me.
Anyways- about the car. I was peeking out the window, hiding behind the curtain, that way no wouldn't notice me. I saw what seemed to be a family of 3. At first I thought it was 4, but later on I realized it was their driver. There were two men, the father and the driver (which I did not know who they were at the time). And there were 2 ladies. One look younger so I thought they were the daughter. I noticed the family get inside the orphanage, while the driver stayed outside.

I was thirsty and my throat hurt. I usually don't talk to anyone so I was really curious why it hurt. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and got up to drink something.

I ignored. My voice was hurting more than before and I felt dizzy. I walked slowly over to the bathroom and turned the tap on. I gulped loudly.
I stopped drinking and looked over at her.

You know you have to ask for permission to use the restroom!
Ms. Sandy looked furious than ever.

I had difficulty speaking and I didn't even know what I was saying. I just talked hoping it would make sense.

I walked on over to my bed and sat down. The door to the office opened.
Ms. Sandy walks on over to the family and whispers. I couldn't make out what they were saying.

Jules walked over to me and Sarah.

Jules asked her father looking all confused.
Mr. Tuffins
Julia?? No- its Lucia.
My jaw fell to the floor. I could not believe my ears. I did not want to go with this awful family.
Lucia

Ms. Sandy walked into the dark office room and slowly returned with a piece of paper and a a ink pen.
Ms. Sandy
You must sign this to officially adopt a child.
Ms. Tuffin looked at the paper with her nose held high. For some reason she looked proud. I wonder why.
Jules
So, let's make this official.
She stated. Looking at me with a disgusted yet excited face. She signed the paper. It was official. I was there adopted child. I wonderd what ideas she had in mind for me. To keep me in a good mood I thought about if they had a a garden. Where I could dance and watch the birds flutter and sing. Maybe it was destimed for me to go with them. Maybe I would be happy there. But boy. Was I wrong.
